I love these recap videos! its a chance to see all the fantastic material all together, that you collected from an area. And tbe material was absolutely fantastic! You tend to forget about one material when the next video comes out, so this is awesome! You always collect the most epic materials! You are amazing Andrew!
Thank you for sharing with us and the rest of the world. wow, 1hr 46min Them Blue are Amazing. But I do not want any Rocks, THE LORD ALMIGHTY HAS BEEN BLESSING US TREMDOUSLY!!!
You make me laugh! Just as you spoke about being a rock hound and seeing all the other rocks….Every time you reached down to pick up a rock, I saw 👀 one off to the side that I wanted you to get! LOL would love to tag along!
You made me laugh out loud on the no belt comment. I live about 35 minutes from oregon coast and 25 minutes from quarts creek and on the other side of mountain elks creek you have shown me so much in one video thanks. So i took a blue light to a couple rocks i have and WOW, didnt know ive been sitting on such beauty.
absolutely amazing stuff you find! i feel like go after you what you throw pick it up ! jelly a bit ! good way ! here in the UK nothing to pick up from ground ! Happy to find your channel! God Bless
One of my favorite pieces of quartz is from up on The N Umpqua. My cousin found it in 1957. I talked him out of it on a visit to Roseburg years ago. I live in Florida now. That piece of Oregon always makes me smile. Glad the snows of the PNW returned this winter.
If your ever in Grants Pass come by Say Hi! I own Thai BBQ. Check out Rock Display in Restaurants 😮. I Actually own a Rhodonite Mine and actively collect and find Radom deposits. Some are rather rare. Last Deposit found that I have Displayed is Chopstick Lattice Agate from Roseburg! Hope to meet you we are closed Sunday Monday.
Nice long video 😁 perfect to watch as I get ready for the day. That section of beach you were scanning for bowenite was huge and looked like plenty more to be found there. Ok, gonna get back to it. I really need to get to making some playlists for my channel as you suggested. Seems like all I do is work anymore and don't have the energy for much else, plus freezing cold doesn't help. Still, I like to relax and enjoy some good quality videos like this. A good source of inspiration for rockhounding. I really like all your drone footage too. I'm hesitant to get one because I've never flown one and would flip out if I got one stuck in a tree or something, but really adds to the awesomeness of your videos.
OMGoodness the last part of this video and your roadside find, amazing!!!! How did you keep your composure. I probably would have fainted…lol . Gorgeous find
That was quite the video. Hahahaha. My favorite portion was the Worthington section. I liked it because of the scenery, because I was there hounding with ya, the quality of the material, and the footage was pretty good. Always a good job talking it up and keeping things interesting. Maybe just a smidge longer on some of the gifs, they pop up and fade out before I notice what some of them were or what I was supposed to be reading. Very minor suggestion. I think the Zinc Creek portion I've watched the most now after this video, I really enjoy that portion too. Hey man, you know I love all your content. Enjoyed watching that all the way through at normal speed. Rock on, buddy. 🤘😁
Where is Worthington, I searched for it on Google maps but no luck, love the video hope to go agate hunting there sometime, thanks for sharing, can't wait to see more
Great finds! Would love to pick your brain on your cleaning process with AZ Agate. I feel like I might be too meticulous in my cleaning. Thinking the AZ hard water is hurting my finds in some way and only using RO water because of it. Which is a pain. Hoping I’m wrong. Cuz I’d love to use the tap water hose without any worry. Also wondering if you’ve ever had any issues with your agates drying leaving some white chalky stuff behind within the bands? I can never get them back to how they originally looked like when found (minus the dirt). Some do’s and do nots with your Agate cleaning would be so helpful! Love your vids. Thanks again 🤙🏻
I use Iron Out when necessary and a tiny pressure washer called a textile gun. Iron Out will remove iron staining and some weaker minerals such as calcite (which could be the chalky buildup you've seen). You'll mix it with water and then let the rock sit in it until you determine its good. As for the textile gun, they are a rockhounds best friend. I have a vid where I use one if youre curious what they look like. Amazon sells em Thanks for watching man
I have an idea for you even if your don’t forget your belt… I would also bring a simple backpack to wear backwards on your front…. Like a kangaroo 🦘 and you will have tons more room for rocks in addition to your pant pockets…. That’s what I would do 😍
I grew up in a little town named hornbrook just across the Oregon California border our eighth grade teacher Mr Jones taught us about a stone named horn blend he said it was named after the town.
listen to the boss,,,,, don't forget to stop by for black coffee together... goes duit and goes natural so that you will increase your enthusiasm for work and add brothers thank you very much
If I lived there I would have to take them all home. My grandfather and my father and I love finding rocks can't walk now so my days are done finding ing rocks😢
Where are you in the start of this video? I wish you shared the name and location so others can find the amazing things you find. I also dont see the link to the map that you mentioned at @22:20
You have made comments re: looking at specimens under microscope or cutting & polishing your finds...Do you have a way of sharing what you found out ??? Would be cool to read about and see the cut pieces... just sayin' cause you are very good about adding information into your videos. If not, no worries...still a vacation watching your videos ;0)
Yeah, I just get caught up sometimes and forget to do updates. Sometimes I'll post pics on instagram because if I make my videos too short, people dont really like it. Once I finish the project I'm working on, I'll be posting a lot more lapidary videos. Thanks for watching ^^
Hi! I LOVE your videos! I heard about a road close to Grants Pass, OR that is littered with agates, etc. At the top of the road you can see Mt. McLoughlin in the distance. Do you happen to know the road I'm taking about? If you do, what are the directions from Grants Pass? You are AWESOME! Thank you. Yvonne
I'd need some more info for that GP spot to tell you where its at, but I know the Rogue is loaded. I'll reach out to my buddy Jason who organizes the field trips for the Crater Rock Museum club and see if he knows ^^ Thanks Yvonne
maybe the Jasper they were trying to get was going to be used for knapping into arrowheads or a knife and the problem you can run into with surface finds it can be damaged from the elements and exposure where the stuff buried or quarried is of better quality
My woman and I are going to dig opals in southern Oregon. Can you suggest any places along the way to stop and rock hunt. I'll be coming from the Washington side of the Columbia River gorge and driving down. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
I've got little piles of rocks everywhere in and around my house . Whenever L see a pile of rocks I'me drawn to it like a junkie . Is there a rock hound rehab ?
HINT ~: Carry a container of Dental Floss where ever you go.. Shoe Lace replace, tie belt loops together.. It is a perfect Emergency helper.. Thought of it when you mentioned your belt...

Iron Out bath. Strong solution in an old crockpot. For the love of god, do it outside, its weak acid but still caustic (especially when hot). Use appropriate safety precautions man
Till a friend in 5th Grade brought a small jar of live scorpions to school, I had no idea the little beasts lived in Oregon. My dad then told us a few stories about the scorpions they’d captured at the turn of the century in the Coastal Range forests. Ewee!
I think you need to talk more about what you’re doing what type of rock you’re working with what you’re gonna do with the ones that you have in collect throughout your video because coming in in the middle and even at the beginning, you really don’t say why or what’s happening why some pieces are fracturing and you’re using a hammer and not really I don’t understand it’s what I’m trying to say I live in PA food for thought

Everywhere I can but mostly the southern and central parts of the state. Getting up north is a bit tougher for me
I’d like to follow you around and pick up all the rocks you throw away 😮
I get that a lot ^^

Zeolites for sure

Yup
