This opening sequence still cracks me up. Kingdomino is one of the few games I didn't need to watch a video to understand! Also, I totally remember the 6s and 9s have lines under them. Was 51st State not in the library? (Any Pandemic would also suffice. Not that the rules are particularly horrendous but the games raise many questions that can only be answered online.)
This game is awesome. I'm glad Tom and Chris got to try it! They got that it's just as much about where you don't place. And when you get special abilities, sometimes a decision to not use one of the abilities can convey information. As can whether or not a card would fade -- "it's fading anyway so we should guess" -- or "they probably didn't put out their 7 because it has too many diamonds on it". There is a lot of interesting logic that is not apparent at first, yet the game is not brutally hard and its co-op nature helps a ton when talking through the logic. I did get the expansion too and shuffled it in, but that is a certainly a mistake to do on someone's first play, because Zee is right in that if you have too many "weird" cards come out simultaneously it can be rough.
I really like Shipwreck Arcana. It does a great job of making you feel clever by having a tight set of interconnected information but still requiring some leaps of logic. I also like how players can leave or join at any time and the game continues as normal. It makes it great for playing in social situations or when time is short.
This seems interesting. If you are bad a giving clues by not playing at a certain spot you can listen to your fellow players to learn how they think and do better next turn.
Great stream, despite Zee telling Chris that was a "terrible move" not to use the special power it worked out better since they were able to use it later when a card was fading.
I love Zee’s comment - “This game has a theme. I refuse to tell you what it is.” This is a pretty great game though!
Mike, I laugh every time. Thank you.
I luv the intro. Im old enough to remember o'reillly :)

This was fun and it just re-stocked with the publisher. It was an immediate buy for me.
What a lovely game!
Just a note on this game it is harder with more players so I would recommend playing it at 4 or 5 whenever possible
that intro is hilarious
Schrodinger's tile.
I can see it being valid to save a card for when you need it to avoid a fade that advances doom.

Just passing through for Mike’s intro
