You also have a fan from the UK Jim. We'll be doing the PCH next year. Your videos certainly wet the appetite. Thanks, and safe journeys in the future.
Excellent looking video. The scenery was breathtaking, especially when the mountains came into view. And Mumford & Sons sounded great. Can't wait for the next one. Thanx for posting this.
Mumford & Sons, and I-70 West, climbing up into the Rockies? Why, I'd say that's a pretty darn good marriage! I can only imagine the thoughts that must have raced through your mind, when you finally got to drive this yourself. Few other freeway drives anywhere, more outstanding than this. Big thumbs up!
Nice ride... always liked seeing the Colorado portions of I-70- especially through the mountains. I've always been impressed with that section of the interstate highway system!
Another great video! Timing the video to the music, as you do, is always brilliant. I'm afraid to say that I haven't driven into the mountains, yet, so that view of the snow-capped peaks, at the top of the "hill", was marvelous! Looking forward to your next video!
Great job! My favorite part is cresting the hill with the Continental Divide appearing, along with the dramatic bridge of the song. Perfectly synchronized!
This is one of the best videos you have made to date, Jim! Fantastic job! I also really like the song you chose for this episode, really fitting for the landscape! Keep up the great work! Alex
This was a birthday ride for me (the 15th of July)! Even highlighting my year of birth! LOL! You know I LOVE your videos and going along for the ride! Whoot Whoot!! :)
Thank you! Oh you've got to take this ride, it is awesome! I'd love to see what it looks like coming back down in to Denver someday, I'm betting that's pretty nice too.
I've never really been a fan of Mumford & Sons (most of their songs sound the same IMO, and I can only take so much banjo lol), but I did like this particular song of theirs. It worked really well for this footage! Excellent pick! The scenery and views in this video were breathtaking. All around awesome video, Jim! Two thumbs up.
Not a fan of banjo's either but I like to use different things now and then and I thought the breaks in the song worked very well. Thanks, glad you liked it.
Really great vid. Great scenery on a great drive, accompanied by great music. Now you got a black guy from the Bronx (me) checking out who "Mumford & Sons" is.
Totally into this trip Jim.. Can't wait to see more. How about a little John Denver while traveling through Colorado. We all need a little Rocky Mtn High once in awhile.
I have six Rockies videos in all including the Tunnel and Glenwood canyon. I did not go to Mt. Evans, just stayed on I-70...which also includes the San Rafael swell in Utah...stay tuned!
Yes, it goes to four shortly after this video ends and then it's six lanes again from the Eisenhower Tunnel to Frisco...which will be shown in upcoming videos.
Driving through there August 2nd. Quite an amazing drive (driven it before). I can't wait for it again. Will you upload a video of the Glenwood Canyon?
THAT was rather cool! Guessed you climbed two Monteagles in that sequence? As usual, good fit, good song, good tie in! Can't wait to see what else is in store ... just in Colorado.
Thanks, lol....they won Album of the year for a reason beyond one song I suppose. I normally don't care for that "Americana" genre but this song struck me as something that would work well in a video.

Thanks. I did film I-15 North to I-80 west through SLC later in this trip. The video came out nice but I'll be honest, the freeways are nothing special IMO. That video will up out in about a month or so.
Wow, what a rush when you crest the hill and those snow-capped mountains just appear! Can't wait to see the rest.
Jim I want to thank you very much for these videos, they are awesome. I am fan from Greece who dreams that someday will visit the USA.
You also have a fan from the UK Jim. We'll be doing the PCH next year. Your videos certainly wet the appetite. Thanks, and safe journeys in the future.
Thanks, Jim! Brings back some memories--I grew up in Denver, and I remember our day trips out to Idaho Springs and Golden well.
Excellent looking video. The scenery was breathtaking, especially when the mountains came into view. And Mumford & Sons sounded great. Can't wait for the next one. Thanx for posting this.
Definitely landscape that warrants multiple videos! The expansive mountain views are just spectacular, digging the green scenery!
great video! i drove this route about 10 years ago and i agree, it's one of the most amazing freeway drives in the country! love all your videos!

Thanks, yes it was pretty special indeed!
Truly epic! These will be the most epic and scenic Freewayjim videos yet!
Happy Birthday Tracy! Glad you liked it and always happy to have you along for the ride.
Awesome view of the Rockies at 3:55. And the music worked great with the scenery. Keep up the good work and thanks for the ride!

Wow. Just...wow. Simply breathtaking.
Thanks for sharing that with me Bill, it means a lot!
The song choice is just perfect!
Thank you! I really appreciate that.
Been up and down that a few times in 1993. It's an impressive climb up that hill. You captured it beautifully.
Great job! My favorite part is cresting the hill with the Continental Divide appearing, along with the dramatic bridge of the song. Perfectly synchronized!
Great video Jim! Nothing like approaching the Rockies! I can't wait for Glenwood Cyn.
Best video of your channel thus far. Hands down.
This is one of the best videos you have made to date, Jim! Fantastic job! I also really like the song you chose for this episode, really fitting for the landscape!
Keep up the great work!
Alex
Thank you very much for the comment, it is greatly appreciated and I hope you can live your dream one day.
This was a birthday ride for me (the 15th of July)! Even highlighting my year of birth! LOL! You know I LOVE your videos and going along for the ride! Whoot Whoot!! :)
So good I watched it twice! I'm not much of a Mumford fan either, but that song fit the video perfectly. I'm excited for more I-70.
Thank you! Oh you've got to take this ride, it is awesome! I'd love to see what it looks like coming back down in to Denver someday, I'm betting that's pretty nice too.

Nice video again, Jim, one of the best from this season!
Thank you Alex, glad you enjoyed it.
It was great Jim as always of course !!
Thank you, I'm glad you enjoyed it!
Me and Dad crossed the Divide back in '09 near Pagosa Springs, CO. It was beautiful there.
Thank you, yeah it makes Monteagle look and feel rather small, glad you liked it.
Yes indeed, add in the snow capped mts and it is quite the visual experience.
Not a fan of banjo's either but I like to use different things now and then and I thought the breaks in the song worked very well. Thanks, glad you liked it.
Thank you Byron!
Thanks, it's all about finding a song that works.
Thank you very much!
Simply awesome...
Really great vid. Great scenery on a great drive, accompanied by great music.
Now you got a black guy from the Bronx (me) checking out who "Mumford & Sons" is.
Thanks, it's a great ride!
AWESOME!!! keep them coming!!!
Thanks, I hope so!
Thanks for watching!
Can you imagine living in the house at the top of the hill on the near left side at 4:48? What a place to live!
Totally into this trip Jim.. Can't wait to see more. How about a little John Denver while traveling through Colorado. We all need a little Rocky Mtn High once in awhile.
I'm quite surprised that you played Mumford and Sons for this video. Really neat to see Colorado and the rest of I-70.
Thank you!
Yes I have six more videos along I-70 West in Colorado including Glenwood Canyon in both directions.
Sweet video and song!
If you have a friend with a computer or access to one at a library or something this one's worth checking out IMO.
This was the first time I ever drove it, color me impressed too!
I have six Rockies videos in all including the Tunnel and Glenwood canyon. I did not go to Mt. Evans, just stayed on I-70...which also includes the San Rafael swell in Utah...stay tuned!

Thanks, a new one will be up on Friday 7/19.
that is a massive climb!
beauty place. thanks
Driving through there August 2nd. Quite an amazing drive (driven it before). I can't wait for it again. Will you upload a video of the Glenwood Canyon?
Hope you keep going to the Eisenhower Tunnel and maybe even Glenwood Canyon. You'd also like the road to Mt. Evans.
what a ride i lov it
Thanks!
THAT was rather cool! Guessed you climbed two Monteagles in that sequence? As usual, good fit, good song, good tie in! Can't wait to see what else is in store ... just in Colorado.
Oh...thanks, never saw that movie :P
Yes, there are 6 Videos of the Rockies in all but this whole trip may end up being around 50-60 in total.
Be patient, it will be. The next video is already up, I think you'll notice a difference.
Thanks, lol....they won Album of the year for a reason beyond one song I suppose. I normally don't care for that "Americana" genre but this song struck me as something that would work well in a video.

2:11 Crossing gates that say "ROAD CLOSED", mounted to streetlight poles on an Interstate highway? I've never seen THAT before!
Yeah I know, it was a "Dumb and Dumber" reference, always love these vids, keep them coming!

I did not use any John Denver for the Rockies, sorry, it just did not fit what I wanted to do.
Thanks. I did film I-15 North to I-80 west through SLC later in this trip. The video came out nice but I'll be honest, the freeways are nothing special IMO. That video will up out in about a month or so.
Yeah, so am I but it fit, and I do strive for some musical diversity so there you have it.
Nice job.
VERY NICE I LIKE
I noticed that I-70 remains 6 lanes as it climbs the mountains.
That would be fun!
Is this Part 1? And You're gonna make Part 2 Friday? I still like your videos.
That's understandable. I bet it's awesome!
There are houses on all those hills but it does not detract from the scenery somehow.
I'd love to see this one with my mobile but it's not available. Could you help?
Thanks!...that's funny :)
jim u should have like a tv travel or some thing
Sorry, that's a YT/Music company issue, can't do anything about it :(
Sorry I don't...you can just go to Denver on Google Maps and follow I-70 West.
Not sine on this big hills in state
Thought the rockies would be a little rockier than this..
Too bad you didn't have an altimeter on you and ran that with the video.
Sorry, out of my control :P
That was constructive, smh.
The music sucks
Thank you for watching!
