Jack. Crazy idea, Vulfpeck collaborates with... Vulfpeck? Vulf feat. Vulf. What artist has ever done that before? You would be pushing the boundaries of the music industry even further.
Three things that make this recording a landmark 1. Jack you are by now licenced at 😎 mastering 😎 so you obviously became omnipotent. ♾ 2. Cory let his his signature Strat sound hide in the background and composed a leftover from Gaucho. I certainly expected that Donald Fagen's vocals pop up sometimes (please do a collab with him already, as long as you can 🙏) 3. Whatever Woody contributed to the track.
Irony isn't dead after all, but it is now totally indistinguishable from sincerity. I'm both enjoying the models' Fancy Pageant Walkin' and smirking at their cheesiness. And the song itself has the same razor-edge balance between parody and seriousness. Bravo, guys. You've out-Vulfed yourselves.
Да, классная музыка у вас получилась. Спасибо! Парню на саксе - отдельное спасибо. А так - все молодцы. Спасибо еще раз... Yes, you made great music. Thanks! Special thanks to the guy on the sax. And so - all well done. Thanks again... I'm from Russia guys.
What's the Prince song with that synth drum cowbell sound they borrowed? It's like the "Maniac" percussion from Flashdance by Mike Sembello but more tubular (totally). Thanks in advance.
The réalisation on this is just amazing. Ultra subtle. First half of the song in slow mo, Schiffer on the bridge, then slightly sped up towards the last part. With the logo of the disc in the old fashioned branding way of the 90´s fashion channels. Straton is a brilliant, brilliant dude.
All of Cory Wong’s collaborative efforts have killer, rhythmic & funky vibes! . . . .The lead guitar tone on this one is absolutely incredible & totally channeling a Zappa-meets-Lukather aura. **on a side note-the fade out has some serious badassery goin on, and it leaves me wanting more, to hear what’s happening after the fade! [ IMHO that is the mark of a GREAT fade out guitar solo ]
Wait, I just realized when Eddie comes in with the soprano for this first time, the models on the catwalk bump into each other. It's like they get startled by Eddie. Brilliant editing.

Vividly weird if you realize this songs sounds like a Steely Dan-esque soundtrack where a charming, sexy and model-like woman approaching you in rom-com movie. And of course it does.

Cory is on fire these past couple of years holy shit
Cory is on fire since childhood I guess
Cory is the fire behind his banging projects
For those who need to know, the footage is from the Gianni Versace Spring 1995 Fashion Show.

A catwalk just looks like a bunch of very busy people realising they were going the wrong way and trying to pretend they weren't
This could be out of an early Jerry Seinfeld set
To me it looks like a bunch of people walking on a giant fretboard going the wong way.
This is so true 😂
I'm forever blown away by vulfpeck's marketing power
Oh, they're genius
Made me smile. Thank you Cory and all involved.
I'll forever be impressed with how they auctioned the last track on their last album 😂😂😂😂
And let's not forget them funding a whole tour with spotify royalties 😂😂😂
Why do I feel like Cory wrote this, decided it was too weird for him to release under himself, and called Jack and he was like "oh yeah, I want that"
composed by woody and cory! eddie barbash on saxes
ive seen cory live on his solo tour. hes almost as weird as jack lol
🤣
I wouldn't be surprised if it was Jack's idea to pair it with the video
"We'll still put your name on the group, just to make sure"

The sexy cruise sax and funky guitars of Wong + the weird heavy damp drums and orchestral hits of Stratton = yes yes yes
for real, it sounds like those drums comes directly after filming that pouring water scene from flashdance
has a like weirdly jamming hold music kind of vibe
@@brazni Where have I heard that synth cowbell sound that's planned right? Prince, "Maniac," ?? It's so familiar.
It's very David Sanborn, killer stuff
Not to mention that the beat match the walking pace engulfing the visuals in the music.
What the heck how is this video so meta, they were literally playing Steely Dan at this show and Cory comes out with a solo referencing the Peg solo
Peg, one of the greatest guitar solos of the 70s. Cory be like, here I'll just pull this one out.
God damn! I knew it sounded familiar, of course it’s Peg! I’m annoyed with myself for not connecting that
Jay Graydon played that solo on Peg :)
This is the weirdest and greatest band of all time
Facts!
One could say they’re a bit funky
“greatest band of all time” is strictly opinion based, not fact! Fact, they do create weird music.
That would, in fact, be CARDIACS.
Check out king gizzard and the lizard wizard. U wont be disapponted
The tune really captured the 80's 90s era so perfectly. Kudos boys!

GAUCHO VIBES LESSGO
Cory's relatives owned a restaurant in Rochester, MN called Wong's Cafe. FYI.
Now that explains why Cory was found wearing a T-Shirt with the restaurant's logo in ua-cam.com/video/DY_jAY9bsf0/v-deo.html
I'm so glad Eddir Barbash has been playing on these. Such a killer player
Yep, Eddir's really good.

Best comment so far.
This perfectly describes how I feel about Silk Sonic
Cory is above such petty distinctions
From Wong's Pizza to Wong's Cafe. I can dig it.
Wong’s Pizza is a play on Fong’s Pizza in Des Moines, IA. He comes and hangs out there every once in a while

Sick Peg guitar solo there. Absolute madlad you are, Wong!

I heard that too.
I wondered why it seemed so familiar lmao
Jay Graydon called…
Was kinda obvious from the beginning and just totally went all the way at 3:15.
I feel like this is gonna have a second life at some point in the future and it'll all make so much sense
This is a meme from the future, we don’t get it yet
Sound somewhere between Prince and Steely Dan, complete with Larry Carlton-esque Solo at the end 👌🏻
Also nods to Peg
Jay Graydon did the peg solo

I’m laughing cause Vulfpeck just graduated from the 70’s to the 80’s 😂
Lots of Steely Dan style playing here, killer!
If this is Cory playing the solo, I'm quite amazed to hear him play with a completely different approach and sound. Awesome!
This is so 80s! LOVE IT! AND IT EVEN FADES OUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Jack straight up making 80’s porn music at this point
Definitely sounds as cheesy as that
