- Thanks for being here guys lol sorry this video was a bit rant-y and ramble-y, but I wanted to let y'all know what's been up this month! All of this isn't to say I'm not grateful for all the opportunities and wonderful things that occupy my time when it comes to making videos and reading, but sometimes I just need to learn to slow down and stop worrying so much haha. Anyway, love ya guys! Hope to have more videos up sooooon :)

I recently started college, so having things to do in the back of my mind and being stressed about them is SUCH a mood, along with the reading slump! I'm just getting back into reading, which is great because it's been my coping mechanism since I was very young

SJM books always pull me out of reading slumps. Last year I was in a huge slump and I randomly decided to reread the TOG series and by the time I was done reading Kingdom of Ash I was excited to read books again. The same thing happened this year too. I was not motivated to read at all but then I reread the ACOTAR series and once again I was back on track. These books are my happy place.
The first 30 seconds of this video has been me the whole week! 😂
I’ve started rereading Throne of Glass so I can finally read the last two! The first book is actually my favorite.

Gosh I feel this on a level.
School started back up and I don't really bring school stuff to work so I ended up working overtime while trying to squeeze in homework around my work schedule. I left one night and mentioned homework. The people I had been working with had no clue. 🤔🤔🤔🤔
God's I feel you I started with assassin's blade last year and read Throne of glass too ........then this year in January I read crown of midnight, heir of fire and Queen of shadows 😂😆!!!! And in Feb the whole acotar and in March crescent City . And one thing that I have noticed about sjm is that I just don't realise ANYTHING like even my own emotions become secondary . So I read Empire of storms this month and since reading QoS I've come across SOO much sjm hate , but the factor still remains that whenever I am in a off modd for d past 6 months I would just pick up QoS or acomaf and I'd be back on track .............. 😆!!!!!! Its so good to see your feelings towards it .
Btw I watched all your Booktalks too after every book and you're SO damn relatable 😆😂

I think we're about the same age, so I definitely feel you on the existential crisis. I think it's just part of being in your early-mid 20s, I swear I have an existential crisis once a quarter or so

I’m slightly in a reading slump too
I've felt exactly what you're describing at the beginning of the video! I used to become so overwhelmed with stress and anxiety over the things I thought I "should" and "need" to be doing, that I just wouldn't do any of them at all. UNTIL, I learned about "should" statements and how they cause unnecessary stress on your mind. Now when I know there's something I really wanna get done it's "it might be a good idea to do this" or "I really wanna do this first" and it makes the task way less daunting. Maybe that could be of some help to someone?
