My theory is that the mannequins are like test subjects for the “coders” of the digital circus. They just do random things because it’s easy for the programmers (or maybe cane himself) to slap the model on the animation. This is a common thing in game development, where incomplete assets like models and other stuff are left in the files of the game upon release.
My theory about them is simply that they are the players of the game from the real world who don't get turned into characters for it and even like not using a headset to be specific since Pomni claims to have put on some sort of an headset before getting send to the digital world the Mannequin in the bathroom could have been a player using some sort of attack on pomni maybe Caine had given this player a task to guard the room?
