Yes it does. You could start with a Victron Smart Shunt and Cerbo S (amzn.to/3C3p9Wq) which will give you remote battery monitoring. When you add Victron controllers and an inverter, then you just connect them to the Cerbo.
I have the poor man's Cerbo RP, the Raspberry Pi4 edition. It was a pain to set up and make everything work like I wanted, hopefully this update isn't going to be a big pain too. I think I'll wait on the guru's that like to tinker with computers more than I do to install it and make it work before I dive in. The new graphics do look nice compared to the old Atari style graphics they have been using forever. Thanks for the preview.

I just installed 2 lithium batteries. What do I need to start using this Victron system? I have 2 LiPo 100W batteries and 1 solar panel. Maybe 200w. I’d have to look it up. I’ve always just let the batteries do their thing. Now, I’m thinking I need to monitor what’s going on with my system, like most people are doing, especially since I may start boon docking, more. I'd start with a Smart Shunt to monitor your batteries (amzn.to/3C0nXmr). If you want remote monitoring and control via WiFi, then get a Cerbo S (amzn.to/3C3p9Wq) and plug the Smart Shunt into it. You can control it all online or via the VRM mobile app. If you need the HDMI touch screen then get the Touch 50 (amzn.to/3UwhR3z) which connects to the Cerbo via HDMI. Do this and you're off to solid start. When you add additional Victron hardware (Inverter, Solar Charge Controllers, etc.) then just plug them into the Cerbo and they will show up on the control panel. One thing though...if you need CANbus communication (Battery BMS or other devices) then you'll want to get the Cerbo GX instead of Cerbo S. Warning: Once you go Victron, you won't go back :) Check out this video (ua-cam.com/video/MV8aSLt_Ers/v-deo.html) where I'll walk you through how we use our Victron setup. Hope this helps.
Nice! I am going to update mine today. Since you are a Victron guy, could you tell me where to go in settings in whichever components to stop the controllers from charging my batteries when they are too cold? First time being in cold temps with the system and my batteries dont have a bms that stops cold charging and the settings in the controllers are set to stop at 41 degrees F but they still charge. I have the temp sensor on the cerbo and I have internet in my rv so I can view everything real time. This morning the temp sensor read 30 degrees and as soon as the sun came up the system started charging. I know its got to be something simple but I havent figured it out yet. Thanks!
The controllers have an internal temp sensor too which it probably uses by default. If you installed the Smart Battery Sensor (amzn.to/3Zb8edy) then you'll have to make sure it's on the same VE Smart Network as the controllers. Do you have multiple controllers? If so, they should be on the same VE.Smart Network in order to stay synchronized. The temp sensor likewise needs to be on the same network. Looking at using one of the relays to activate a heavier relay for heating pads for the batteries and wondering what voltage of a heavier relay I need to use. Thanks!
@@84chevyguyid I believe you're correct. The cerbo just makes the connection in the relay at the system voltage. On my previous rig I just used these pipe heaters (amzn.to/3AD8Qzh) connected to one of these cheap temperature switches (amzn.to/3Cz2stn). Worked great for years switching the heaters on/off at the set temp. It's just in Celsius. Good luck!
Anyone who knows… I’m interested in one of these systems, but we have a victron solar charge controller with renogy lithium batteries. We use a little renogy Ethernet connected display for the batteries and the victron app for the solar. I’d love to have it all one display but I’m unclear if it will talk to the BMS on the batteries to get the real internal information or if it just uses a shunt, which seems like it would be less accurate.
I can't find info on Renogy's BMS communication. Most BMS comms use RS485 or CANbus. Victron uses CANbus for BMS communication. The Cerbo GX (amzn.to/4fikC0y) is essentially a communications hub that also supports CANbus. So the communication cable from the battery plugs into the CAN-BMS input on the Cerbo. Personally, I prefer using a Smart Shunt (amzn.to/3NOOypu) to monitor the in/out of the entire battery bank instead of individual BMS reporting. The shunt also plugs right into the Cerbo. If your batteries also support Bluetooth via an App, then you can see cell voltages, temps, etc. which you really only need when diagnosing a problem. Some would argue that the shunt would be more accurate given the internal battery measurements don't take into account any resistance of internal connections and cables. I've found BMS reported voltages to be a tad higher than the shunt. Of course, the shunt has resistance too. It depends on the BMS. As you can see, there's a lot to consider, but I hope this helps.
Just tapped the screen on my cerbo GX and it is frozen, shows the uograde is available, and a box saying Next, but everything is frozen, not a good start to an upgrade :(
@@RVwithTito Tried rebooting several times, used the remote consol in the end, that worked to reboot and clear the issue. Dont like the new software, the old software was clearer and more understandable.

It still shows the "old" system... maybe I am missing a step. I'll check back on your video. ... I am trying a manual update via the software and see what it does. I may have to wait until I pick up one of the interface screens... pb

Don't be too hasty to update. I have two GX devices (Venus & Cerbo) which display remote console on HP mini laptops running Win 7 starter and 3.5 won't run on either. They only have 2GB RAM and that is not enough to run the new OS
You have the large image with some mods like battery aggregator, all that won‘t work anymore as there are no mods possible on the new platform. Might be your update issue.

the new layout is great. one think missing now however is vnc connectivity, but you an have multiple browser sessions active and that is a great thing
What are the applications for VNC? I use the Remote Console feature quite a bit.

Cool! Does the Multiplus II have to be on a certain version? The last time I tried an upgrade it wiped my settings out on the inverter.
Not sure, but I haven't updated my MP2 firmware in a very long time. I update my solar controllers and Cerbo more often though.

I have an old Color Control GX with a broken screen also that updated just fine. I access it through Remote Console on an old Android Phone 😀
