Great photos and a fun video overall. As for your flash issue, sometimes the LCD displays on these old point and shoots die long before the camera does. Fortunately, the features can still sometimes work. In my experience, on most point and shoots, pressing the flash button twice turns off the flash.
Here's the tricky part/annoying part. Every time you turn that camera off, close the lens, etc, the settings reset. Hopefully this works for your Fuji!
