Good video thank you👏 It might be a good idea to update the description box with the information regarding the need to neutralize the acid afterwards - just in case someone misses it in the comments below etc👍 I didn't know until I read someone's comment...but it seems pretty important😁
Thanks for stopping by and for the feedback. Neutralisation is important, in this video we picked up the acid and disposed of it safely which limits the need. In other video where the acid is clean off and hits the ground it is a good idea to neutralise with some borax. I have update the discerption so others don't need to go searching.
Very useful. We are diving into our project had first tomorrow so I won't be able to use this method at the start. But I will definitely order the acid and use it moving forward. Thanks for the tips sir.
Thanks for stopping by. You can use this at anytime, either to break through years of build up or to get that finished shine as the last step in the process. Make sure you cover up with protection on eyes, hands and bodies as it is powerful stuff. Check up the follow-up video with creates a paste which can be used on horizontal surfaces to get the same results. ua-cam.com/video/YUIiH_wpzw0/v-deo.html
It’s better to use a hard brush. That way, you don’t damage the surface. Keeping it smoother, so dirt doesn’t stick to it as quick. Nice result, Bottom Up 👍🏼
My friend. This was helpful. I have so many different things I have to get done on my boat this fall and I am saving this information. In case you are not the guy that referred me by FB I will comment there as well.
Glad it was helpful ! Good luck with your to do list for the fall. This will speed up your fibreglass clean up while getting you the best possible results !!!
It should not bleach it. The cleaning process dissolves particles which have been absorbed into the fibreglass so works the same way for with and colour. With that said it is always wise to test a small patch before going full on.
It depends on the work area. If you are in a small enclosed space it would be advisable for any product. If you are out in the open then going without will be fine.
It sure can, check out this video where we use wallpaper past to create a gel like liquid to help it stick to your top sides. ua-cam.com/video/YUIiH_wpzw0/v-deo.html
Thanks for that. I will try this on the heads locker which is looking seriously tired after the through hulls were replaced.
Would love to know how you get on. Thanks am sure it will return the shine to match the work you have done on your hulls 👍

Thanks so much
No problem glad you found it useful
Do you know if the Oxalic acid would bleach out or effect colored fiberglass?
It should not bleach it. The cleaning process dissolves particles which have been absorbed into the fibreglass so works the same way for with and colour.
With that said it is always wise to test a small patch before going full on.
Thanks very helpful
Glad you found it useful. If you are going to give it a go yourself, clink the links in the description to get the gear.
Should you use a respirator while using this product?
It depends on the work area. If you are in a small enclosed space it would be advisable for any product. If you are out in the open then going without will be fine.

great vid! Will this work for in-home Fiberglass Showers too? Or is it too rough?
Yes it will
Never pour water into acid. But pour acid into water.
This is why comments are great. A couple of viewers picked this up, great advice and an enhancement to the published content 👍
