The 1st sink I met I was 17, Civil Air Patrol cadet spending a weekend with my mentor training with his Special Forces unit. That guy was beyond humble. My mentor told me how they took him through the ringer testing him on his religious beliefs so he could wear the turbo & his long beard. He won the decision. I didn't know him but I never forgot him & you could easily see how respected he was around everyone.

In the state of India I am from sikhs are less than one percent of the population ,but when people do see a sikh they immediately greet em, I met a sikh man in my school campus ,me and 2 friends (even cooler, one of em is a christian and the other is a Muslim) I said sat sri akal, and he responded with Sat sri akal, I immediately assumed he was from punjab but he said he isn't, turns out there is a sizable minority of sikhs in other states.

My father is a retired officer. One of the things he’d always tell me is that there are definitely corrupt cops in the world, but stereotyping them all as selfish and racist is discriminating too. At one point the protestors won in our state, and police started to be removed from their jobs. The crime rate after that skyrocketed. It’s sad to see what our world is coming to.
