Ok, wow! That lady from the Atelier gacha killed me. But December, and now January too, have been almost non stop Romancing Saga 2. I believe that game went quite underrated now that I've almost finished the first playthrough.
Romancing Saga 2 seemed great from the demo! I’d love to get around to a full playthrough sometime myself :) glad to see it doing well (and of course to hear you’re enjoying it! ^__^)
happy new year Tara! 2025 is going to be ridiculous in a good way. in December i finished ace attorney investigations and I'm near the end of my first playthrough of triangle strategy. the only game I'm going to play in January is tales of graces f. i cannot express to you how hyped i am for this remaster and for the entire tales remaster project as a whole. getting to play these games on modern consoles is something I've been asking for for years and its actually happening! i wish you and your loved ones a happy and healthy 2025.
Glad you've been enjoying Azure, I genuinely think taking time with Trails is even more fun than blasting through them as it just makes the journey feel that more grand. I ended up starting Rebirth and some of Fairy Tail 2 last month but mostly ended up focusing on catching up to Genshin and Honkai Star Rail which was a blast. I also just beat YS Memoire which was really cool but the bosses were def a bit much however the voice work and music really kept me going and it was nice that it was really short. Just prepping for next month's Daybreak 2 and YS X.
That’s awesome, well done finishing so many things! And of course I completely agree on Trails :)) And nice to hear mostly positive thoughts on Ys Memoire! Actually when getting the footage for this video I got pretty keen for it, it reminds me of Nayuta :3 hopefully I’ll try it someday too!
Gosh I wish nothing more for Resleriana to be consoles. I loved my time with it on my ipad but I just cant get into physically playing mobile games on devices.
I'm 30h in metaphor, i love it! I did great progress in Resliana better understanding traits to do a ton of dmg (millions). Still have yet to craft everything but i'm on a very good track! I'm so glad they finally put the ability to craft multiple items at once with selected ingredients and members. I was waiting that since day one.
The new crafting stuff is awesome, I swear it’s made me enjoy it more recently (I feel like I can do my dailies without taking too long now :’)) Awesome on the millions of damage! The only one I’ve achieved that with is Christmas Resna and I’m still not sure why (idk whether it’s her or what I have equipped to her, most likely both lol) Hope you enjoy more Res and Metaphor this month! ^__^
@JRPGJungle i actually managed to do 30 millions in current fire tournament. To give you simple tips, you need 4 skills up(V) to get 100% + 2 crit up. If you are using crit memoria, you can remove 1 or 2 crit up to get enchanced dmg buff (a) instead. Having those will make your attackers do a ton lot more dmg.
@GeminiSunrise06 that is super interesting, especially useful for the tournaments, thank you! I’ll have to inspect my Xmas Resna to see if I built her somewhat like that by accident haha
Last month I finished up Romancing Saga 2. Then started and finished Yakuza Like a Dragon and Like a Dragon Gaiden. This month, I have started Xenoblade Chronicles 3 and Yakuza Like a Dragon Infinite Wealth. I'm still also playing Atelier Ryza 3
It’s been a while, but since last time I played through Etrian Odyssey Untold 1, played some more God Eater 3 (mainly some of the traversing the past stuff), and have started playing Tokyo Xanadu ex+. EOU was a good first person dungeon crawler, and I definitely prefer it over EO4 because of the QOL improvements like teleporting between floors and generally being faster. GE3 is still really fun, with it being a game I can always return to when I want to unwind a bit. Xanadu so far has been quite fun, with it being kinda like a mix of Ys combat and a Persona like setting and character focus.
Happy New year everyone. Only played thur Neva in December, january plans seem to be Dynasty Warrior origins, DKC Returns HD and graces f R. I would've say ys oath in felghana but the game softlocked on me so thats a dud and would try Phantom Brave but that releases too close to KCD2
Managed to catch up on a couple things with the holiday break. Finished Grandia 2, finally got past the fight I was stuck on for months in Resna chapter 13 and am now caught up with the story. Witch Spring R was the perfect cozy game to end the year on and I’d highly recommend it to any Atelier fan as you’ll feel right at home with its gameplay loop. One of my goals for 2025 is to catch up on Atelier (Dusk, Arland, Nelke and new releases) so currently playing Ayesha. Hope to finish in time to play through the short January releases I plan to pick up Ys and Neptunia riders before Daybreak 2.
Yay, glad to hear you got past Chapter 13 too! (And with the difficulty settings, hoping to get a fair bit caught up tomorrow!) So good to hear about Witch Spring, I’ve been eyeing it off for a while, just gotta find the time :)) great progress, enjoy this month! ^__^
December was a weird month for me. While I didn't spend a whole lot of time with RPGs, I did finish Super Mario Odyssey (a game I've been almost at the end of for a while) and I finished my replay of Castlevania Symphony of the Night on Xbox 360... and still wanted to play it more, so I did another 200.6% run of the game on PS4 xD For January, I started playing Ori and the Blind Forest Definitive Edition, which has been fun despite some irritating issues the game has with conveyance (I've been blindsided by enemies/obstacles A LOT, as many blend in with backgrounds and there are foreground elements as well) but hopefully I can wrap up some of my RPG playthroughs I've had hanging around for a while before the big explosion of games hits in 2025 xD
I played a lot of non-JRPGs recently but I did get the Plat for Ys10 and still working on finishing a 2nd playthrough of Metaphor. I have been putting a lot into Sand Land which turned out to be a much better game than I thought (and I watched the anime). Really not sure what is next for me as I mostly want to finish up these games and I really want to play Dynasty Warriors Origin which is not really a JRPG.
I tried to love Atelier Resleriana since i'm quite an Atelier fan *From Atelier Iris onward*. But coming from Reverse 1999. Which honestly just does everything Resleriana tires to do but better. Made it impossible to endure.
so many trails games i cant keep up guess the posetive for me or negative is daybreak seems like its semi action rpg which i dont like as much but still as far as i know they are all same universe and i only finished cold steel 1 and 2 and a tiny bit of 3
It’s hard to keep up, I know some people manage to but I’m absolutely not one of them lol but it’s okay to take your time; they’re so detailed I think it’s almost better to go slow with them IMO :))

I didn't know it did well. That's nice, they deserved it.
New year, can’t wait for to play some new games

The Crossbell arc is definitely the peak of Trails. Enjoy it while it lasts!

I was super impressed with Fairy Tail 2. The Ryza influence did it well.

I would love it to be as well! If they did an offline version for console when the other console Res comes, that would be the best ever :’) haha
@JRPGJungle you two are kidding right? It was announced for consoles with a 2025 release date. Yumia first, Res later in the year.

Games I'm playing in January:
Alan Wake Remastered on Series X
Dragon Age The Veilguard on PC
Assassin's Creed The Ezio Collection on PS4

Tales of graces f is so excellent! I love the game so much I named my cat Sophie after a character in the game!
Ah that’s so cute!! Definitely an extra reason to play if the characters are that good :))

Same! In the time I played the three sky games, they released Zero, Azure, Reverie, Daybreak and now almost Daybreak 2. I can't keep up.
Just metaphor st 130 hrs. Got a new trails games in February, I just hope it's not as bad as people say.
I feel like I need to get into Resleriana för the upcoming console game that is apparently taking place after the mobile game.
