I'm probably halfway into Fantasian now, and it's a lot better than I was expecting. Really cool premise right at the very start, but then it sort of seems like an average jrpg for several hours. Once those reveals start happening, and more mechanics continually keep getting added, it's shocked me to the point to say it's highly recommended.
I didn’t really play much RPG’s throughout November. Since BF sales happened, I bought a decent amount of physical games on my switch. Was able to get physical copies of both Persona 5 royale & P5 Tactica, Tales of symphonia remaster, Metroid dread, Luigi’s mansion 3, prince of Persia the lost crown, Bayonetta 3, Bayonetta: Origins, TLOZ:ToTK.
In november Along with continuing triangle strategy i also played some infinity nikki and i gotta say , while i'm not a fan of its gacha mechanics it has a sort of blue reflection charm to it that keeps me coming back. As for december i plan to just focus on my backlog and finish games like Ace attorney investigations 2 and ys 7. nice video as always tara and happy holidays to you and your family!☺
Infinity Nikki does look pretty, I kind of need some time to check it out (even if that might be dangerous lol maybe in the holidays haha) Good luck with your December games. Happy holidays to you and yours too! :)
Pretty simple month for me, Ys X, LiS Double Exposure and Mario and Luigi Brothership. December plans are probably backlog? im almost ready to clock out game wise for the year so we'll see
Congrats on finishing Metaphor! It's a huge game, so, it's understandable that it took most of your time, and I'm sure you had a great time ❤ Your final stretch of the year to get through the backlog is going great ❤ I hope you can enjoy the holidays, both with games and with IRL stuff ❤
Hoping to get to Star Ocean The Second Story R and finally Trails to Azure myself as well after Black Myth Wukong Happy to hear you're able to get the games you wanted to get to done/able to play as well Tara! As always, amazing work 😃
I hope you love Trails to Azure! I love it everytime I jump in :) Second Story R actually pops into my head sometimes, I hope to get that series more in general :3 Have a great month Mike! I’m sure you’ll enjoy everything! ^__^
For most of November I was working on AC: Valhalla while also picking away at Vampire Survivors. Honestly that was most of December as well lol. Although I was gifted Trails Through Daybreak for Christmas so excited to get into that when the time allows. Wonderful group of games from you played in November, and looking forward to the update from the last of 2024. Thank you for all the amazing content throughout 2024, and here's hoping 2025 treats you incredible. Belated Merry Christmas and a very Happy New Year to you. #Roadto30k
I hadn't seen Goblin Slayer, and so I'm going to sleep on that for now. Didn't have as much time in November for gaming. I did get a lot done on Beyond GalaxyLand, a quaint/cool turn-based RPG. I'll have it finished in December (I'm in the last leg - doing the last side quests). I might jump into 8-Bit Adventures 2 afterward. There's a couple of other games in my JRPG backlog/wine-cellar to try out that won't take me too long. Gosh, I do want to play Metaphor at some point... but alas, infinite time and all that. I want to try Fantasian and WitchSpring R which both came out recently, but would be pretty big commitments.
JRPG wine-cellar should be a more common term, I love it haha And yes, the commitment thing can be daunting. Metaphor is a commitment I'm very glad I made, but also felt slightly more comfy prior when I thought it was gonna be 80 hours compared to my 100+. I hope you can get to everything someday ^__^
I'm kind of in the same boat - neverending backlog. I also got Witchspring R and didn't try it yet. I had the impression it was a rather short game? At least if you're not trying to do 100% or all achievements, I thought it was somewhere around 20-25 hours, so you might be able to fit it in somewhere.
I realized seeing this notification I completely missed the October video xD But my November was mostly dominated by one of my favorite games that I finally finished: Okami! I ended up putting almost 80 hours into it and got pretty close to getting 100% (a few challenge battles have been filed under "Yeeaahhh, I'll do that later" LOL) but it was still a joy from start to finish, and I can't believe the sequel was announced last night to top it all off! I also put a fair bit of time here and there into the Ys X demo, which was surprisingly long, and also really enjoyable. I also dipped my toes into Parasite Eve for the first time and it made an amazing first impression, especially the combat and music. And I finished off the month starting Okami's DS spin-off, Okami Den, which has been fun so far, though much smaller in scale and more puzzle-focused than the original game. For December, I'd like to hopefully finish Okami Den and work on a few more almost-finished games as we go into the new year
Haha the October one was pretty dang late, I don't totally blame you (still up of course, if you wanna watch ^__^) Aaah Okami! You got super lucky with the announcement timing, that's awesome :)) I remember it looking cool, but it's mostly left my mind, so I'll have to have a look at it or the sequel to refresh my mind :3 I know it should be in the must-play list though, so good reminder! haha Great games you tried out! I hope you enjoy this month too ^__^
November i beat Trails from Zero and Trails to Azure which were amazing and i can finally play Trails of Cold Steel after getting a Vita copy back in 2015 when i didnt know about the rabbit hole the Trails series translation was in. But im burnt out after starting Trails in the Sky in July and beating 4 more titles after it. Playing Ys X and Silent Hill 2 for December and i might start Cold Steel by then. I should wrap the year up with 50 games beaten. It was nice to see some games pop up on your monthly play videos that i added to my list.
November was spent playing my personal goty Ys X and started Grandia 2 after finishing it. I also similarly managed to get the recipe I needed without the dungeon I was stuck on in Chapter 12 of Resna but shortly after hit another wall in Chapter 13. Hoping to finish Grandia and maybe one more off my backlog before the end of the year as early 2025 is loaded with new releases I’m looking forward to.
That's awesome hearing Ys X was your GOTY! Seems to be a few people's which makes me think it needs much more of my time haha And yeah, those walls >< I'm having a good run since getting past my Chapter 13 one, I hope your experience is similar! It looks like difficulty changes will come in January, so hopefully it'll remember the progression issue :3 Hope you get through a couple of things this month! Good luck :))
I finished Metaphor (planning to go after the secret boss but I need a break) and I have been playing Ys 10 Nordics. My most wanted game coming up is Fairy Tail 2. This is mostly because I consider the Anime one of the best and my favorite. So, even if isn't the best I will play it because of that.
So good to hear the anime is so good, the games have definitely made me want to try it :3 hope the game is as good as it looks, and well done on Metaphor! :))
Happy to hear you're enjoying it (I'm about to jump in and catch up on Chapters for a little, there's so much story! haha :)) Thank you for watching, hope you enjoy playing :D
Good job on finishing Metaphor! It was such a good game, but very long as well. I haven't looked much into Resleriana because I try to avoid gacha games, but I saw a trailer for what appears to be a console Resleriana game. I hope we get more info on that one soon. In November I finished Metaphor and started Chained Echoes. Chained Echoes took some time getting used to after the masterpiece that was Metaphor, but I grew to like it very much. I finished CE in early december and started Trails from Zero. 1,5 years after finishing Sky 3rd I'm finally back in the Trails universe. The shit that was foreshadowed to hit the fan hasn't hit yet though. So far I've just been resolving local disputes and not much has happened yet in the grand scheme of things. I also started Tokyo Xanadu Ex+, but I'm not really feeling it at the moment. Around Christmas and New Year I'm going to take a break from Trails for a bit, because I'll be visiting my parents and it's a bit harder to play games with intricate stories there, so I'm planning to play Spider Man Miles Morales and Ratchet & Clank Rift Apart then.
Congrats on beating Metaphor! I managed to beat it right at the beginning of the month. I think I'm going to try to get the platinum trophy some other time. I'm only missing a couple of trophies. I also started and beat Ys X Nordics. I loved it and can't wait to see what's next for Adol. Thanks to some flights and layovers, I could play a lot of Mario & Luigi Brothership. As for December, I started playing both Fantasian and Black Myth Wukong. I think I'll only be able to finish Wukong by the end of the year tho. I'll try my best to make some progress in both of them
I beat Trails of Cold Steel I and II throughout November for the first time. Hoping to habe CSIII and IV as well as Reverie and Daybreak beaten by February for Daybreak II
I am sorry I love goblin slayer but did you notice how the main person the vampire girl is named vampire bride or blood something? There is also a guy named squire they just did not name anyone what is up with that ?
I did wonder about that lol I haven't seen the anime so I wondered if I missed something or they'll be added in later. If I ever give it the full review, I'll be sure to confirm/talk about that!
Hm... It is so weird/funny to me that despite how much you seem to have enjoyed Metaphor, the footage for Rasleriana feels infinitely more interesting.
I was planning on playing Ys X over the holidays, but Falcom decided to announce an enhanced version only a couple of weeks after western release, meaning I wasted my money and got scammed in buying an unfinished inferior game... my advice would be: don't buy Ys X and wait for the enhanced version...
Sorry to hear! I saw they announced the new one and yeah, felt a little glad I hadn't picked it up myself so I'm sure a lot of other people feel the same way. Ys X was one I definitely wouldn't have imagined getting an enhanced version so yeah. Hopefully they do free upgrade, that would be kind!

Well that's awesome to hear, I'll try keep it more in my mind then (probably on sale, but I'm glad to hear it'll likely be worth it :))

Okami is such a gem! A sequal was announced during the Game Awards.

MEtaphor is my personal GOTY and the newest addition to my all time favorite games

I will be switching between red dead 2 and metaphor. Trying to get some backlog stuff done.
Nice, good luck in the final stretch of this year! :D

I mean I love both in different ways haha I’m sure you know, but you’re allowed to think either is more interesting than the other ^__^
@JRPGJungle oh I am aware 🤭
