great video Jon- absolutely loved Cape Scott. My favourite was Nissan Beach- Don't think you went there, maybe next time. Had a few animal encounters there. Nothing bad, just interesting.
It's a beautiful place! I was a little less than impressed with Nels, but the rest was amazing. I think it was because I'm spoilt and live here.... The hike was much harder than I had anticipated. On a side note, keep up the good work your doing amazing
great video! i have good/bad memories of this hike - had a lot of fun finding all the bits of history but couldn't get to the lighthouse as it was fenced off from the public for a few years. it also rained for 4 days straight! had to walk back in knee-deep water in a lot of spots. the longest hike i've done (in one day) with the heaviest pack i've ever taken in. and i wasn't a big fan of the taste of that water with all the tannins in it! Also got to see an entire pack of wolves up way too close and personal! it's a great spot, i'd love to get back there someday, and maybe hike a bit more of the eastern part (north coast trail). thanks for sharing!
Thank you for the comment! I could not imagine what is was like after 4 days of rain!!!! The good old creek water hahaha!! Glad to have helped you bring back good/bad memories!
The Cape Scott settlers were Danish not Dutch, hence the Scandinavian place names. The nearest town, Holberg is named for a famous Danish writer and historian.
