  • On this adventure I explore more of the Campbell River back country and discover this amazing 1 party camp site. I adventure out on this big beautiful lake with my little boat and get some amazing views and of course some fishing time in, while also experiencing a motor break down.
    As always thanks for watching.

    Here I am pausing your video and looking on google maps matching landscapes to see what lake lol, I think I know haha. Another great video bud, you are right about the flat fish, sometimes called quick fish. either they work or don't. Best way is to use a worm on the hook as it adds scent. You had some great weather there. Looking forward to next video! Cheers.

    Hi Harry, Backroad Journals brought me here. The phrase "step 2" at 17:28, I've heard Holger use that term . Which one of you coined that phrase ?

    • @outlandharry
      @outlandharry  25 днів тому

      Hey! I originally stole it from Steve Wallis “Camping with Steve” and Holger and Michelle also adopted the term. Step 1 Set up camp and step 2 is have a beer.

    what spot is this? looking for a camp site on the island or near nanaimo for a night next weekend and this is by far best ive come across yet. amazing content, new subscriber:)

    • @outlandharry
      @outlandharry  3 місяці тому +1

      This spot was in Campbell River near Fir Grove rec site, there is many sites in that general area if you make the trip up island. I do highly recommend exploring that area you won’t be disappointed. Unfortunately Nanaimo has very few spots and it really sucks. Nanaimo lakes is your only option for decent camping but they are always booked up. Good luck on your adventures! Thank you for subscribing!

    I completely get it about the chair, on the one hand it's useful, on the other hand it's f-ing up the natural vibe of the lake with that crappy-tire lawn furniture vibe. I'd probably not have taken it either... At first. But might go back and take it out because if you want a chair, you can always bring one and then take it with you.

    • @outlandharry

    Did you figure out your boat motor issue?

    • @outlandharry
      @outlandharry  4 місяці тому +3

      I did, some fishing line got caught up in there which caused it to bind enough to shear the pin, I switched it out in 5 mins when I got home, very easy job. Went right to Honda and got 3 more too lol
