You do have a great sawmill. Would you please tell us what your top 3 in demand sellers are that you mill the most? Thank you and your crew for all the hard work you do!
You’re welcome sir! We sell a lot of Poplar, Red Oak, and white oak. Poplar makes up most of it! And that’s because that’s what we sell most of in house
Saw the bottom turner clearly a couple of times. Thank you. It must reduce the turning scarring when you only have to rotate the log 90 degrees. Look like you got a fair amount of clear oak. But that comes with cutting good logs, rather than butts and tops.
So With a ton of wood crashing down on the table every time you flip a log how many cracks do you get and how do you fix them. I'm assuming the carriage and all is bolted and not welded.
Love this channel! After a hard day, nothing sounds better than a sawmill!
9:14 Definitely like the camera angle, get to see the whole cutting process. Thanks!
I for one don’t mind the narration. I’d enjoy seeing and hearing more about the vertical edgers. Do they crest a bid mess of sawdust everywhere?
Yes they do, but we have blowers!
Your commentary is great Ian...Another fine video!
Thank you buddy!
Super nice ty 😊
I love watching that saw go great video

Beautiful lumber and I love that sawmill. Overall just a great video. Thank you.
Thank you sir! I appreciate it!

5:28 You cut two planks at one time, is that something you just automatically look for or are you filling a customers order?
I’ll sometimes split them just to make them stack better when we’re sawing grade lumber

the edgers so increase production
Gooid bit of work non theses logs, and you are right about the saws. However, there is a slight grinding noise like bearings needing greased.
So With a ton of wood crashing down on the table every time you flip a log how many cracks do you get and how do you fix them. I'm assuming the carriage and all is bolted and not welded.
Honestly I’ve never seen the rails cracked
And it has both! It’s bolted in spots and welded in others
I enjoy the sawing and the narration, but for me I wouldn't mind a few more logs being cut.
Yes I agree! I actually want to do some a couple that are at least an hour
@@Helmsburgsawmill that would be an interesting hour, I look forward to it.
In watching your video,I am to the point that I can tell when to flip the log with in 1 or 2 boards
Who’s the manufacturer of the saw and how old is it?
HOW MUCH WOULD THE DIFFERENT TYPE AND SIZES OF WOOD YOU CUT COST THE END BUYER THAT WOULD BE GREAT INFO TO ADD TO THE SHOW.
wow. monster oaks. another great vid and tip of the hat to Mr Sam. good video skills. what brand is your sawmill setup?
It’s a Forest-All!! At least the saw and carriage/ hydraulic set up is
Those edger blades are quieter.
What is the size is the upper saw
36”!
