I started working in Disneyland Paris in December 2016 and on my first day I was hanging out with Eeyore and a little baby took his first steps. There are so many little moments like that that make it the most incredible job in the world !
Rachel Mudd well you are going to be fired,I don't mean to cause any mental harm to you but,if you tell this you will be fired it's one of the DisneyLand rules I'm not a worker or was a worker there are just videos that your not supposed to tell
+Sofia Flores oh wow! Thank you! I just uploaded a February favorites beauty video, and this lip stain made the list! 😁 it's made by Too Faced, "melted product" in the color "chihuahua".. I find myself wearing it often! ❤💄
Wow, what an amazing experience to have! You do a beautiful job at making Princess Jasmine sound like a dream come true job, that's for sure. Thank you so much for sharing about your 1st day on the job. I really enjoyed hearing about it. I love to watch your videos Jennifer. Whenever you talk it's always from the heart. You're so honest, friendly, and warm hearted in your videos and I just love that about you! 💜💙💜
+JustThatGirl love you!!! That's so sweet and thanks for even caring enough to listen. Lol about it sounding like a dream job, perhaps someday I'll touch on the harder parts of the job. Did you watch the video on the last day? Thanks again for watching!
Jennifer Oakes Ooo, that sounds like a good idea! I'd be really interested to learn about the harder parts of the job as well. I did watch the video about your last day and I really liked that one also. I mean finishing your job at the same place you first started, same holiday, and everything is just amazing! It all just must've been so special for you and it made me so happy to hear about it all.
I just went to a Cruise Line audition yesterday and had a blast! And I got past the first round!! Not farther than that but still a great experience, thank you for inspiring me and others to go out and give it a try!
+Valerie Stanton bless your heart! You have such a positive attitude, I hope others read your comment and are inspired. Thank you so much for watching and if it's something you really want, I hope you won't give up, or else that you'll find something that brings you joy if you haven't found "that job" already! ❤
I love when you speak from the heart as you're remembering, you light up! It's so lovely to watch, I think everyone should watch this. It makes me happy to see this. I would love to be like this. There's auditions for a local company who do princesses at the weekend, I think they would have liked me to go, but I'm that bit older than you. I was just glad that they took the time to get in touch.
Omg I started watching you yesterday by accident and now I just love it! You are speaking about one of my dream jobs and it is amazing having someone sharing her experience 💕 thanks a lot for this
You have such a pure heart and I love watching your videos! I know exactly what you mean when you talking about being with the Aladdin while being engaged. I act and I always feel awkward when my character has a husband and now I have to act like I'm in love with him. But my fiancé understands and knows it's all acting. You inspire me to keep doing what I love tho and pushing past those obstacles!! I love love LOVE your videos! ❤️❤️❤️
+Karina de la Garza thank you for watching! It had been awhile since I'd fully tried to recall the day. I wish I'd made a video on this topic sooner than 13 years, lol...I wonder how the video would've been different if I'd of filmed it the morning after. Lol
Hi Jennifer! I have only been subscribed for a few months, but I just wanted to say that love your channel! Thank you for giving us a behind the scenes look at what it was like to work at Disney! I have never been to any Disney park before, but I really like that you give detailed descriptions of what you did, and it allows me to live vicariously through your experiences!
Hi Jenn! thanks for the awesome video! really cool glasses by the way! all right, so I read here on the comments and I have to agree about your loving and honest way to tell us about your experiences. you're so kind and generous sharing it with us, you rock our world! specially for us who won't never be princesses because we are foreign people and it's just out of our reality :/ anyways, we are glad and thankful for having people like you giving us some taste about it. thank you so very much ❤
I just found your channel a couple of days ago and I love it! I'm 12, and after watching some of your videos, I want to be a Disney face character or fur character if I don't have the looks. You make a perfect Jasmine and I think that is so cool that you were a princess! I love Disney SO much and I would love to work for them. Thanks for your inspiration and advice!
+Tsum Tsum Adventures! Thank you so much for watching, my niece is 12, and it feels like yesterday I was 12. Time goes so fast.. I hope you get to work for Disney if it's something you still want when the time comes. Hugs to you sweet girl!
Love it! I can't think of a more exciting first day on the job than that of being a Disney Princess face character! 👑 I've always wondered about training for all the characters- do you train together with other characters, or with other girls portraying your character(s)? I've always wanted to see what the training packets look like for some of the characters 👀... that'd be cool!
Time goes so fast! This year will be the 20 year anniversary of my Disneyland hire in date. Unreal. But such happy memories! Love your glasses, too btw!!
+Hevynly1 what a fun comment to share! Amazing! Yes, it's crazy, isn't it? Do you remember your first day? Any particular highlights that stand out over those 20 years?
Oh, absolutely! I remember going for my first interview, my training, first day, the whole thing. It all felt like a big deal! Highlights... the friendships I made and the guest interactions top the list. Being able to turn a bad day into a good one for a guest was the greatest perk ever. I felt blessed to give back to Walt every day and be involved in something that brings so much happiness to others. It was a great job! :D
I love your glasses and your videos! Thank you so much, I grew up with Disney and living so far from Florida in cold Idaho is so tough, your descriptions remind me of home! Thank you! 💗
Loved your enthusiasm in this video Jen! I do have a question though, there will be an audition near me to become a Disney performer, and of course you have to be 18 to work for Disney. The problem is, my 18th birthday is 9 days after the audition. I still wanna go, but would they send me away immediately?
+Leah Tackles Leah!!!! I've been mia on social media lately, how are you!?! Thank you for watching, lol.. wish you could've been Queen Elsa at Disney! Or Aurora! How fun would that have been?!
Hey Jen! love your videos, i see you as a "big sister" to me lol, i love to hear you share your experiences, i look up to you ! much love from argentina ♥♥
+IWillBeHers oh thank you!! It was on sale for $16 from the Disney Springs store, "Superdry"... I think they're a Japanese company?! I love all their stuff! ❤
Hey!! First of all I want to say that I LOVE YOUR VIDEOS! But I am 16 now and I have been dreaming to be able to dress in a beautiful dress and wear a crown since I was little. When I found out about the look alike auditions a few months ago I have been so excited to audition. I have a good amount of experience and I am a cheerleader and dancer so I am in good shape. I am 5'3 and won't grow to much more but all I am wondering is do I have the "face" for it. I have absolutely NO idea if I even look close to any princess and I don't know if that would cause me to get "thrown out" on the first part of auditions when they just want to look at your face style. Please don't be afraid to be brutally honest!! Thank you so much!!!
Hey I just found your channel and I absolutely love it! You seem so sweet and I wish I could've met you as Jasmine. I am from California originally and my parents met each other at Disneyland so I always wanted to work there (although I've never been to WDW). Even though I live in NY now, I still dream of working there. I watched your weight loss story video and I hope this isn't too personal, but I was wondering about what size you were when you were jasmine. A lot of the princesses seem very thin and I am worried I might not be small enough. Thanks so much x
Hey! I was wondering-- when people you knew in real life came to visit you while you were working as princess Jasmine, how would you interact with them? Like did you have to pretend you didn't know them or could you play it off as having met before as princess jasmine?
+Cosmic Cat I think I want my next video to be on this topic! That way i can go into greater detail than just a quick comment..Great question! Thanks for watching the video, appreciated!
This sounds amazing! One question though- if i were to do this in the future, do you think i would be able to get a part if i have a gap in my teeth? My gap is pretty big, but i don't want braces.
Hey Jennifer! I'm sure you've gotten this question before but, do you happen to know the makeup products the face character for Aurora used to achieve her look? Like foundation, eyeshadow, etc. And do you know the foundation that the actress for Snow White used?
It is my absolute dream to be a disney princess in disneyland one day! I think I'll maybe have a chance as rapunzel or tink somday :D I have a question for you: I am a very happy person but I find that I look weird when I smile widely with my teeth showing. it jsut doesnt look right no matter how genuin the smile is. Could that be a problem? I am realy worried about that
lol, you're so adorable w/this comment. Hmm. I would let the casting directors decide.. I haven't seen you smile. Have an open heart, open hand when you go into audition.. there are some girls I see who seem to have it all, yet don't get cast for whatever reason, and other girls, who might have an 'awkward smile,' who DO get cast.. so it's not over til the fat lady sings, so to speak. :D I wish you the best and hope you're cast.. if not, where one door closes, another one opens..
Would it be a problem if one would go to a princess look-a-like audition with a colored/dyed hair (ex: purple) which is totally different from the princess auditionees are supposed to portray?
Hello Mrs. Oakes I like your videos! I have a question about Disney Princess qualificationsQ: Can some in a Wheelchair (who can not walk at all) be a Disney Princess or since none of the Princesses are disabled would that not work?
+kayla stover hahaha! Great question..maybe not in a video, but I was always a fan of tampons..specifically Tampax pearl brand, that's what I always used and had no problems! Thankfully! ❤❤❤
Hi sorry I was wondering when you were working at Disney was there any friends, family etc. that looked down upon you for doing you job or disagreed with you? Also what are your opinions on the Aladdin sequels (weird question but I've heard so many mixed feelings I'd love to hear it from someone who is so passionate about the film :) that you for your time love your videos xx
Hi, I love your videos, my friend told me that there's a rule about Canadians being princesses and that they can only work in the Canadian Pavilion in the Epcot centre. I was wondering if that was true.
I was wondering, does my skin have to be as light as yours to be Jasmine? My skin color is more like Beyoncé's but I look like I could be a Jasmine, especially if I do my make like her. Btw I love your videos! I plan to be audition for the Disney parks when I get older. You are very pretty.
Do you know what characters like Peter Pan or Tinkerbell did when little kids asked them to fly? was there some kind of universal excuse that all flying characters could give not to fly?
Niko When I went this summer to DLP, I told Peter I wanted to fly and he told me: "Oh, you want to fly? Well all you need is faith..." We quoted together ("...trust, and pixie dust!') and then he told me that he had run out pixie dust and that he didn't know where Tink was. We started to call for her after that. And it was so much fun! I hope it helps you. I think it's a good idea, and even better ay the USA parks where you can move around with the characters more freely! Have a magical day! ✨
Just a thought for you (since you may actually see this post lol). You've mentioned many times you didn't understand Disney's love of "pink" cheeks ("You need more blush!"), but remember, your features needed to be heavily accented for the photos. And possibly they didn't like the glitter because of possible glare with camera flash.
I feel like you should keep character integrity even though you may not work for Disney anymore. Some kids may be watching this and will never get the full Disney experience because of saying who you are "friends" with.
that's one way to look at it. I personally do not believe parents should ever let their kids watch UA-cam unsupervised. This channel is for those who are looking to work for Disney entertainment in the future and who may find this information helpful if even just to get an idea of what it might be like. There are some people who take Disney Magic, in my opinion, too far.. there is a book I had to read in college, "The Religion of Disney".. you should check it out sometime. xo
It's just.. for sure, my channel is not for everyone and some people have asked if this job ruins the Disney magic.. and sadly, perhaps, to a degree, the job might do that. But for me, I think I would just warn it's very important to have a realistic view of what you are getting yourself into.. I think if you bring a healthy, realistic view of the Disney Magic with you.. you will be fine.. but some people maybe should not work for Disney, if keeping that "Disney Magic" is super important. I don't know. The job isn't for everyone. But hopefully.. maybe watching these videos can still help keep the magic for people by giving them realistic expectations before going in. There's a lot to think about.
it going be more busy with star wars land is fished did you watch the awards on sunday i thought moana was going win for best song or justin song al and jasmine will be in my city next month i think stay until july brodway show i no the new york show voiced of jafar from moive is back for the brodway show i think my mom try get tickets for the chicago show
Jennifer, what is that angelic music playing in the background of your videos?.....or am I just hearing it in my imagination because of your almost-impossible and fantastical Beauty, Grace, and Sweetness??? (responding to this should not be considered cheating on your husband, although you are also apparently tremendously Loyal.....HOW PERFECT)
+stillonly35cents lol awe, thank you!! I think I have a link to the music video for this song in the description box, but it's a song by "millionyoung" called "lovin" 😉❤
You're too young to have the "I can't believe it's been X years" discussions. :-D You think it's bad now, wait till you're in your 40s. Then it's really bad. :-)
Don't forget.. I'm pretty old now. I did the "cool job" when I was young, thin, had straighter teeth, and had good skin. lol. so. that makes a difference I think.
Your going to get fired. Not to be mean but did you know if you tell us or anybody that your a Disney princess or what Disney princess you are Disney is going to fire you.
Samantha Sam lol it's been several years since I've worked for Disney...I don't hold allegiances to the company. 😊 my channel is for curious Disney fans and or those planning to audition. 😊
She looks nothing like Jasmine. I guess sometimes they are desperate to find the character. The first thing they look at is if you look like any of them😁
I started working in Disneyland Paris in December 2016 and on my first day I was hanging out with Eeyore and a little baby took his first steps. There are so many little moments like that that make it the most incredible job in the world !

@@reginaswan4983 you can say you "hang out" or were "friends" with a character, so yea she's not fired for anything
This is so bizarre!! My mom was showing me our old Disney photos and I have a picture with you and Aladdin from when I was younger!!!
those glasses look so fabulous on u Jen! And I love ur lipstick color!
+Sofia Flores oh wow! Thank you! I just uploaded a February favorites beauty video, and this lip stain made the list! 😁 it's made by Too Faced, "melted product" in the color "chihuahua".. I find myself wearing it often! ❤💄
I was going to ask you about your lipstick !! It looks perfect on you

You still look 21 tho! You're so beautiful 😍
+Tina Marie awwww! You're so sweet! I have makeup on and good lighting though, lol. I'd scare everyone if I zoomed in and went without makeup. Lol

Hi Jennifer! I have only been subscribed for a few months, but I just wanted to say that love your channel! Thank you for giving us a behind the scenes look at what it was like to work at Disney! Hi Jenn! thanks for the awesome video! really cool glasses by the way! all right, so I read here on the comments and I have to agree about your loving and honest way to tell us about your experiences. you're so kind and generous sharing it with us, you rock our world! specially for us who won't never be princesses because we are foreign people and it's just out of our reality :/ anyways, we are glad and thankful for having people like you giving us some taste about it. thank you so very much ❤

I just found your channel a couple of days ago and I love it! I'm 12, and after watching some of your videos, I want to be a Disney face character or fur character if I don't have the looks. +Nadia Chavez I love you! (Makeup) haha, if you see me in person I be lookin like frump mom, lol, I try to clean up for youtube though. Lol
It's funny to think how I started kindergarten the same time you started your job as jasmine and now I'm graduating this june! Time flies!!
This is the cutest story!
Been in that break room by the shop. Yes, that's a great description of it. Very much like Aladdin's lair. lol
OH good, so you get me! lol, I mean, who knows, maybe they've cleaned it up, but every time I went in there, that's how it was. lol.
I love your glasses and your videos! Thank you so much, I grew up with Disney and living so far from Florida in cold Idaho is so tough,

Love your glasses-look!
I'd love to audition to be a Disney princess when I get out of school but I live in Australia and we don't have a Disney park
Hong Kong, Tokyo, and Shanghai often hold auditions for Australia.
+Chow Chow thank you!
+The Poison Kitty I hope you're cast! And hope you saw the other person's comment!
A whole new world
I never met you but I seen your picture before . I'm like "now THATS A Jasmine"
AWWWWWWW so sweet! thanks for watching!
I remember meeting Jasmine and Aladdin at Epcot near Morocco in Nov 2005. Was that possibly you?
I love the glasses!
Where did you get that shirt? It's so cute!
+IWillBeHers oh thank you!! It was on sale for $16 from the Disney Springs store, "Superdry"... I think they're a Japanese company?! I love all their stuff! ❤

What's the smallest size they have for the princesses' costumes?
Also, did you have to do an extensive analysis of the movie Aladdin before your first day?
Hey! I was wondering-- when people you knew in real life came to visit you while you were working as princess Jasmine, how would you interact with them? Like did you have to pretend you didn't know them or could you play it off as having met before as princess jasmine?
I have a question, When you were princess jasmine, what did you have say when guests asked you question? Did you have to speak in a different voice?
+Cosmic Cat I think I want my next video to be on this topic! That way i can go into greater detail than just a quick comment..Great question! Thanks for watching the video, appreciated!
Jennifer Oakes im listening to a whole new world over and over again plus since i live in NY, im seein it on Broadway

+joanneallover awesome!! You can send me a message on ig or tag me in a photo! 💖💖
Just seen this! I have sent you a message ❤️
Would it be a problem if one would go to a princess look-a-like audition with a colored/dyed hair (ex: purple) which is totally different from the princess auditionees are supposed to portray?
Hi Jen, What's the difference between a training day and your first official day?
+Adlin Figueroa good question! I'll definitely have to do a video on what training was like sooner rather than later. ❤ Thanks for asking.
Hello Mrs. Oakes I like your videos! I have a question about Disney Princess qualificationsQ: Can some in a Wheelchair (who can not walk at all) be a Disney Princess or since none of the Princesses are disabled would that not work?
Can you talk about what they Did about periods while being a princess?
+kayla stover hahaha! Great question..maybe not in a video, but I was always a fan of tampons..specifically Tampax pearl brand, that's what I always used and had no problems! Thankfully! ❤❤❤
You look gorgeous today!
thank you! I found some time to doll up! :D Have a great week! xo
You're only as young as you feel lol & I love your lipstick! what color & brand is it?
Hi sorry I was wondering when you were working at Disney was there any friends, family etc. that looked down upon you for doing you job or disagreed with you? Also what are your opinions on the Aladdin sequels (weird question but I've heard so many mixed feelings I'd love to hear it from someone who is so passionate about the film :) that you for your time love your videos xx
Hi, I love your videos, my friend told me that there's a rule about Canadians being princesses and that they can only work in the Canadian Pavilion in the Epcot centre. I was wondering if that was true.
Wish I could be a Disney princess! I love to sing! But I feel like I am too short, or don't particularly look like them! But great video☺
CloMarie you actually look like sleeping beauty!! Idk if you were planning to audition but you should definitely audition if you want to!
+CloMarie I wish you could be cast too!!you'll never know until you audition! Did you see my video on height?
+Maria lou yaaaay! Agreed!
Jennifer Oakes yes I did see your video on height!! I am 5'3 so hopefully that would be good enough!
Maria lou Aww thank you! Maybe I will audition when I hear about the auditions next!
I was wondering, does my skin have to be as light as yours to be Jasmine? My skin color is more like Beyoncé's but I look like I could be a Jasmine, especially if I do my make like her. Btw I love your videos! I plan to be audition for the Disney parks when I get older. You are very pretty.
BAILEY WHITLEY jasmines skin color should be dark.
Do you know what characters like Peter Pan or Tinkerbell did when little kids asked them to fly? was there some kind of universal excuse that all flying characters could give not to fly?
+Niko lol great question that I never asked! I'll try and see what I can find.. 😂
OMG I THINK I MET YOU WHEN I WAS A KID!!
Omg I love disney I have a cousin thats name is Jasmine and I was born in 2004
I was born on October 5, 2004 and strait after went to Disney World... so I could have been one of the first people to meet you. juts sayin
lol rock on! thank you for watching! hope I met you! xo
Lol I love watching. Your content is practically perfect. Thank you
Do a video about the training? =D
I wish I could have met Princess Jasmine when I was little or back when I was a teenager. I never got to meet Jasmine in my youth. But sister did. ☹😔🙁
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
A whole new man
I feel like you should keep character integrity even though you may not work for Disney anymore.
There are some people who take Disney Magic, in my opinion, too far.. there is a book I had to read in college, "The Religion of Disney".. you should check it out sometime. xo
Okay, Thanks! I never thought about it that way! :D
It's just.. for sure, my channel is not for everyone and some people have asked if this job ruins the Disney magic.. and sadly, perhaps, to a degree, the job might do that.
Isn't it completely against the rules to share any thing that happens as a Disney character and also telling people who you were
it going be more busy with star wars land is fished did you watch the awards on sunday i thought moana was going win for best song or justin song al and jasmine will be in my city next month i think stay until july brodway show i no the new york show voiced of jafar from moive is back for the brodway show i think my mom try get tickets for the chicago show
Jennifer, what is that angelic music playing in the background of your videos?.....or am I just hearing it in my imagination because of your almost-impossible and fantastical Beauty, Grace, and Sweetness??? (responding to this should not be considered cheating on your husband, although you are also apparently tremendously Loyal.....HOW PERFECT)
+stillonly35cents lol awe, thank you!! I think I have a link to the music video for this song in the description box, but it's a song by "millionyoung" called "lovin" 😉❤
WOO HOO!! Now you're even more perfect.
Wow! you look so young like your 18!👍😄
you are cute with classes on or off i will like to have someone like you in my life
+Misael Pinto awww! So sweet! Thank you!
Jennifer Oakes your welcome
You are not supposed to say what princess or character you were you just have to say that you are friends with that princess lr character
You do know you are not allow to share what character you are if they find out you can get fired
Do guys ever flirt with you
Wow can you reply to this please
+TT Gamer thank you so much for watching the video!!
You're too young to have the "I can't believe it's been X years" discussions. :-D
You think it's bad now, wait till you're in your 40s. Then it's really bad. :-)
She isn't goodlooking. But its so cool she has this job.
thanks??? lol I'm just glad my husband thinks I'm okay to look at. :D
