First peoblem with your video you dont explain about the werewolf abilities you just say that stam regen then say they look cool were wolf is easily 20 times better for pvp there are a resounding number of ways to boost the length of werewolf form werewold has all the best pvp elements gap closer, self heal 2 dots... one of wich is your base auto attack, has a knockback and a fear and can gets increased resistance and stamana and its damage is based off stamina so all those players out there that love the rogue or sry (nightblade) and are gonna switch its abilities to be based on stamina which is an all around smart decision will love what werewolf has instore crazy dmg plenty of cc and healing and that great gap closer vampire is way to much risk especially compared to what werewolf can do for you.
This isnt purely to hate on vamps ive never personaly played a vamp i play on console so have o ly recently been able to play but from what i see skillwise and what ive seen on the battlefield ive made an educated assumption ww is better keep in mind tho ive never played vamp which is why i watched this video and others like it.
OK I have two points to make here: A) this is not a review. This is a blatant, and might I add, see through, attempt at a put-down on werewolf. A review, even an opinion one like this, would take the pros and cons of BOTH werewolf and vampire and THEN give an opinion. Instead you just tried to put-down werewolf B) its obvious you love vampire and I respect that, but if your going to call it a review you could give werewolf more than a MINUTE of coverage!!!!!! anyway, that concludes my comment, let the hate COMMENCE
Really, you're telling people to take Vampires into PvP against fire siege weapons, Dragonknights with their Ardent Flames skills and ANY enemy on the battlefield having the ability to be carrying a fire staff... yet not PvE where the Vampire SHINES because there is LESS fire being thrown at you... Man, you got your shit all whack. Werewolves are best in PvP because the only damage that's really going to hurt is from an archer's poison, and if you're good, that archer is dinner first. Not to mention the fact they have hard CC with fear and knock down which is vastly more important in PvP than a burst-DPS vampire who can be focused down and killed in seconds with the right spells (a.k.a anything fire). Not to mention, buffs and bonuses applied to you while in human form ALSO stay in Werewolf form, so with that alone, it vastly outperforms Vampire in PvP. Gap closer, crowd control, and sustain damage will always beat out the bursty assassin.
Did you forget vampires deal poison? Or the fact that a siege weapon will not kill you if you have any source of healing.(if you don't have one then you shouldn't be in PvP) Additionally vamps have healing abilities. Werewolves force you to get into the middle of battle where you will die.
Hey, werewolf isn't better at pvp, both vamps and wolves can get nice pvp players. Vampire is really good for pvp too, I never struggle with fire damage, moves are op and make you feel strong, the same can be said about werewolf, they're both strong and suit any class. It's really all about personal preference
"and u lose all ur skillz" note, he didn't explain any of the abilities in ww form, or why they're "not as effective" as vampire abilities. seriously dude, if you're gonna say "oh werewolf looks cool, everything looks cool but their abilities are shit," you might aswell explain why they're shit.
As someone who's been a werewolf for a very long time in ESO, I have a few disagreements with this. Obviously vamps are better, but I think WW's were downplayed a bit in terms of usefulness in this vid. Keep in mind these are MY stats and how I play. I play as an Argonian Templar, and have those racial passives maxed out, which reduces that poison damage quite a bit. If you invest heavily into Ultimate generation and reduced cost (I know I have something that reduces it as my WW cost is 288), turning into a WW will only take a few minutes at most in the heat of battle. As for WW form itself, I see it as a purely PvE build, whereas vampire is PvP-centric. A maxed out WW with all passives and abilities morphed can tear through enemies almost endlessly. Your attacks and and pounce ability increase your time in WW form, and eating literally any enemy gives you more health and more time in WW form. Plus there are a few support-based abilities to help your group. A WW has abilities to stun enemies, fear them and poison them. Also as an added bonus, we don't look like we're on skooma all the time. :P Now, I also have a character that is a vampire, and I will agree with every point in the vampire category. It is very powerful if built correctly, and usually very annoying to fight in PvP. So all-in-all, the two are vastly different in both what they are, what they are weak for, and what they excel at.
The vampire tree have better passives and werewolf has a better ultimate which also gives you another bar of useful skills (including a fear skill) imo, but it really depends whether you're stamina or magicka. The only thing about vampire is that you need to learn the bloody mara recipe to really get the most use out of it (and re-apply your drink of choice when you're at the right stage), and if you're a werewolf you gotta use the ultimate or the passives/skills are kinda useless.
u favored vamp so much u said nothing about wolf.. honestly bad vid.. u glorified vamps and explained some moves, u said wolfs only use there paasive and such in form... then u stoped talking about it. honest opinion. did not like the vid. give the review some equivalence not a one sided review honest rating. 2 out of 10.. cause it felt sooo one sided bro..
Deltia's Gaming I agree on your point, BUT: When you're a werewolf, the enchants on your normal weapons before using the ult still apply, same for armour. For example, when I attack in werewolf, I tend to electrocute/burn my opponents with the claws.
Didn't mention werewolves do a heck of a lot of damage, I've killed some hard bosses in werewolf form. Also if you have enough enemies to devour you can make the form last ages.
My friend is a sneaky mage type and I'm a jump right in and attack type. He went with Vampire and I went with Werewolf. We are the perfect duo, I'll take on the hits from fire and whatever else while attacking and use my heal ability but he will blast them with powerful spells and heal me when I need it. If he starts getting attacked I can easily wipe out a crowd and he can easily deal major damage to a target. So it's a lot of fun on both sides if you work together.
Werewolves are defiantly better than vampires. You get the stamina bonus and if you have bonus stamina attributes you can stay in ww form for ages in addition with devour and also pack leader if you are with others. Werewolf is also a beast in pvp as you can take on multiple targets.
I have to say I've been watching this channels videos and it's noticeable that this guy is extremely biased in the sense that he won't even give the werewolf transformation an in depth analysis without pointing out "see with vampires you can blah blah blah so this is why vampires and better." Even in his werewolf guide video he was literally comparing/diminishing the werewolf. I'm still trying to figure out which one I want which is why I'm giving all videos the time of day.
DayDREAMER IV Well one thing he did say in the video is that vampires are mainly good for PVP not PVE. if you focus on PVE a lot then vampire isn't the best due to the increased fire damage they take and some veteran bosses in dungeons do use fire attacks so it can be hard for you especially if you're trying to tank as a vampire. I had a friend die constantly on a boss we were fighting because it kept spamming its flame attacks. Sure you can make it work but vamps have a harder time in PVE. i would say go werewolf if you're more of a stamina user but even if not you can still do decent enough damage as a werewolf
Dude, I just love your enthusiasm in your vids! you make me want to play ESO more and more everytime I watch. The fact that you upload everyday amazes me, it's awesome. Just wait, the game is becoming more popular, your channel is going to grow fast! Thanks for all the info and hard work you put into them and don't stop :D
This is my favourite video of yours because of the extreme level of infirmity and the sheer quality of video. I have been a subscriber for six months now and congratulate you on achieving your goal on 10K subs. Hope to see more content in future!
Im playing a breton templar duel wield aedric spear and a vamp Im level 5 vamp, Im trying to get better at pvp but I suck as vamp with pvp should I stay vamp or try werewolf?
Alex mason Just keep leveling with the vampire and try to find ways to counter the fire damage, so try staying rank one. Don't go PVP as werewolf you will be raped by all the archers and Fighters Guild players.Stay Vamp and try leveling a bit, character and Vampire wise
If you use the werewolf leader morph and unlock the passives you can stay in werewolf constantly. The leader morph adds 2 seconds anytime you do a heavy attack and the animation is only .8 seconds. Also, there are passives like devour and blood rage. (Add 12 seconds per killed enemy and add 3 seconds every time your hit, with a cooldown of 3 seconds.) Blood rage alone can maintain your timer and everything else just adds more and more. Not to mention since the newer updates players with werewolf get a 15% stamina and stamina regeneration boost. Btw I realize I'm being bias with my opinions in my comment, however, if you look at the best players nobody uses vampire anymore. This doesn't mean it's bad at all, and it definitely still has its uses but it's not so game changing anymore.
to be honest Werewolf serves another purpose, and thats to turn a Tank into a DPS . the Werewolf attacks are great for that snap damage, combined with armor sets like whitestrakes your able to able to be survivable in that form aswell, i use it to crush my way through waves of mobs rather than wade slowly as a tank. it adds lots of functionality to my build. im a Templar. taking WW is akin to getting a whole extra weapon set and bar for DPS.
all I heard was vampire is better than werewolf without actually showing the werewolfs abilities. how am I suppose to know if your right if all you talk about is vampires ult and passives and yet ignore werewolves. you are waaaaayyyy to baised on this.
I'd love to see a update/new look since there have been considerable buffs for werewolf. Lefty Lucy loves to use WW in PvP also, so for everyone who might be interested, look into his channel.
@Deltia's Gaming, I always appreciate you input on ESO. My wife and I play Vamps and PvE, yeah we take some extra fire damage, but having two of us there nothing is really a challenge. Last night I turned one of my Argonians into a werewolf, and I must say it is a blast. Yes I agree with you that it is a pain to charge the ultimate (though 1 handed sword and shield helps), but that doesn't really matter to me. I have had more fun playing WW than I have Vamp (though the novelty of it might be a big factor in that too). Folks, do what Deltia says and play both! They are both loads of fun.
tbh what i like about ww is u can pop it in a crowd, or to get into a keep and pop it, also has a really cool ability set, infectious claws plus light attack combo is deadly! combined with a self heal and a fear, and u can potentially destroy some peeps with some combos, so much DOT, dnt mean to hate on vamps, i have a ww and a vamp btw and they are both cool in their own ways
In the game there are many many many many many many vampires. there are at least 50 WTB vampire bites for 1 WTB ww bites on chats (all alliances). The choices had been done by players. Let's see if this changes when the next upgrade will be on live servers.
I leveled up vampirism to lvl 10 with no abilities on my bar. The skill line leveled just simply from me doing stuff as a vampire (which is everything I'd normally get xp from since I'm always a vampire). I don't think they changed it, but that was also a couple of updates ago.
WW is insanely good for a stam dps, the damage you can do is really high, and its very good for 1-2v1 in pvp, also definantly pick pack leader over beserker because with pack leader you can stay in form pretty much until theres nothing left to attack
LOVING VAMP! i was a WW from lvl 40 to VR14 untill 2 days ago i cured the WW and turned Vamp now a stage 4 Vamp (Skill line 8) and the Mist Form is OP! Bat Swarm is AMAZING! cant wait to morp it and morph the Mist Good video DG!
Deltia one thing I must say when you meet to or more werewolfs in form at a time it is almost sheer death if it's just you because of the skills it's a good ambush and can be very fearsome when fighting alone
You forgot to mention the pack leader transformation. It is also a lot easier to lvl werewolf and if you are in a good spot you can stay we forever. I managed to stay transformed for 30 minutes and maxed we with just devour and blood rage passives. By far I can deal double DPs in we form
Your videos are great. I'm going for Werewolf for the sake of RPing, and I'm picky about my character's look. I'll definitely consider trying out Vampire with another character, though.
I went with vampire for my main character, not because of stats and skills, but for RPing reasons. My first character is a Breton Dragon Knight. And because she's a Breton, she's in the Daggerfall Covenant. I have the ability to play any race in any faction, of course, but I saw no reason to go against the established alliances make up, at least not with my first character. During the campaign for Daggerfall, you end up fighting a significant force of hostile werewolves fairly early on. And you don't meet many friendly ones. OTOH, during Rivenspire portion of the story campaign, you end up with a significant group of vampire allies. So, I figured after fighting a war with their help, IC, my Dragon Knight would see vampires as not so bad. Sure, there are evil ones, but she's seen plenty of evil humans and orcs as well.
Great job Deltia! I have a quick question: I am about to become a vr1 soon, and I was debating whether I should become a vampire. I feel like it would be a good idea, but I'm not so sure about the extra damage from fire. I play mostly PvE, as I am leveling right now. I am a Bosmer Nightblade with the character, and I think he would probably benefit from it. What do you think? (I remember you covered it would be difficult in PvE as vamp, but how would a vr1 stack up against it?) By the way, very informative :)
First of all: Thank you. Second u dont need an Vamp skill in ur bar to get XP. ur a vamp and get Vamp XP in same amount as normal XP. If u get biten at lvl 20 (the quest isnt that hard just permastun, CC them with bow pettank what ever) and ur getting 10 Vamp around VR1. WW is a little harder my DK got it at lvl 25 heavy armor full health build and only if u have to kill the mammut cause u can doge a lot of the damage. so u maby have to restart the quest a couple of times.
Deltia is all good at explaining decent gameplay mechanics and giving us great tips on how and what to play in ESO, but honestly you should watch Lefty Lucy's ESO werewolf PvP gameplay video on UA-cam. That is if you want to know more on how to play as a werewolf and what the werewolf can do in PvP.
sry again for my english but there is one point you missed about vampire. i´m playing a nightblade and i love to hit people from stealth with camouflaged hunter. you can use it in stealth and if you hit a vampire with suprise attack and camouflaged hunter you will love it to become a new van helsing in cyrodil.
I honestly wouldn't dream of doing a non-nightblade vampire. The bite becomes OP with the invisibility spell since you're considered hidden. Its great for when you are moving with a group as everyone can whale on your victim and you heal. Its great for PvP or while fighting human bosses.
I'm a Werewolf and I love it. One simple reason, for example - You have only 1 Ultimate skill, use it, and it unlocks 5 absolute unique skills^^ So saves you skillbar-space. And I, for example, can not afford to leave any of my actual skills out. Moreover, WW has a lot of different skills. Fear, stun, heal, aoe with hot... Just nice.
I build 325 ultimate very quickly. Just about every time i look down my warewolf ultimate is ready. It depends on how you play. Also warewolf form can last a very long time if you invest in the passives and actually get into combat and use devour. Not to mention the massive amounts of damage all your attacks do when in warewolf form plus bonus health and stamina regeneration . you're basically a mega tank and dps at the same time and there's practically no downside other than being vulnerable to poison while turned. I'd like to check out vampirism with a secondary character. it sounds pretty sweet. but this video makes lycanthropy sound like a joke and it's pretty incredible if you use it right.
For anyone wondering though, if you're heavy into PvE and you're solo because you have no friends, and you chose to be squishy (I.e. Medium/Light Armor NB/Sorc) WW is a nice idea for soloing. Very often do I find myself pushed into a corner, only to go into my Beast Form, use the Healing ability that costs magicka and so long as you have magicka you have self heal and increased Melee damage, as well as your claws inflicting your weapons enchants, so if you have a fire and a frost sword, you will do fire and frost damage in WW form. You also get a nice knock back effect that works well on most npcs, even some bosses. And above all, WW is incredibly easy to level, it took me 4 hours to go from level 1 WW to level 10. All you do is go WW form, kill random shit, as much as possible, just go on a rampage, get the passive that prolongs your beast form when you eat corpses, then get the passive that prolongs beast form when you take damage, then just go on an utter rampage of every living creature in the vicinity, some Orc Stronghold is always nice ;). You'll level up in no time, and don't even get me started on a group of WW with the WW Pact passive, if you're gonna go WW, find a WW Guild, get the Call of the Pact passive, join up with your Guild mates, go on mass rampages in WW form together, you'll often see PvP with swarms of WW running across the fields, majestic beasts galloping along. But if you're not squishy at all, go Vamp, it's better.
Stamina users should use werewolf, cause if you have enough stamina you can pretty much make your opponent unable to move or get away while you destroy them
Thanks for the killer video. Simple breakdown, easy choice for me. Do you think Vamp will work well with a Dunmer Stamina Dual Wield / bow and buffs Sorcerer, or would it be better for a Dunmer Dual Wield / Sword and Board buffs Dragonknight? I enjoy nightblade, I may try out vamp on my NB, but he already struggles so much with survivability. let me know, sir!
Vamp might be stronger, but WW seems like it is for me. Now real downside.... and I don't want to think of my character as constantly walking around being "undead", I like the idea that WW is something you can turn on as you please and that there is a passive which always helps you with no downside. I have one question though, is vamp and WW permanent?
WorshipInTruth Vampires don't really walk around "dead" unless you stay in stage 4. Yeah, you look horrendous but that's half the fun in it. The idea is to hide your skin like any vampire would if you like to RP with a vampire character. Me on the other hand; I like to leave my helmet off and roam around looking like a freakshow because it looks amazing.
I got a character who's skill rank 10 werewolf and a vampire skill rank 10, by the way you have to use the vampire skills in battle everytime otherwise you won't get exp for vampire skill line if you do that you might be skill rank 7 in a week
I was told to wait to around lvl 38-40 to become a vamp....reason being, if you get it at lower levels it just makes you weaker....you get all the negatives and none of the positives, because it levels slow. At higher levels I managed to level Vampirism to 10 in only 2 days. Much faster leveling rate through quest acomplishments. I'm a Tank Mage and feel unstoppable.
to level up the werewolf exp is to kill people or creatures as a werewolf the passive ability of which you forgot is based on the duration for being transformed
lol you didn't talk about drain essence at all. this is a super awesome ability for NB and sorcerer who don't have great self heals. deals damage and you gain a ton of health and stamina. invigorating drain restores ultimate so you build ulti way faster. that ability alone has saved me sooooo many times on my NB.
Problem with werewolves is that they can be kited for days. I counter with poison damage on everything and make sure i have a knockback, stun, and snare. Also theres my morph of mist form which becomes poison mist. So please, come at me in Cyrodil, please. Silly kids thinking that just because you transform it makes you better.
I'm a magicka nightblade and I'm really enjoying it. I'm a noob myself and I find being a vampire can be very easy and fun to use if you really are a determined noob like me. Lol. I became I vampire at level 4 and I'm not regretting a single thing.
I've seen far more werewolves in PVP than i've seen vampires and werewolf skills are pretty powerful. i do a decent amount of damage as a werewolf and i'm not even a stamina user on my character (i just use the skill for fun not for serious runs). the ultimate doesn't take super long to charge either (it gets reduced as you level up the skill) and you can stay in the form a pretty long time especially if you invest in all of the passives
the problem with vampires is they have too many disadvantages but also they are way to powerful, i feel as if vampires take way too much time to take care of, considering they take too much damage i get melted alot of the time using them. if you see a guy with a fire enchant, RIP, your done. good luck tanking aswell. with werewolves you can use it as a utility, regen health in the form, deal thousands of damage (WITH THE RIGHT BUILD DONT RAGE ) speed around and kill enemys in pve, and yes you can tank as a werewolf, its quite easy. also in my opinion they both have upsides and downsides but its just what you prefer really. pve = werewolf pvp = vampire
good thing you actually played the game or watched the video. because something like "fire resistance" clearly doesn't exist... god this cherry picking is seriously grinding my gears. there are facts, read it up. stop denying vampirism is better, it is. I personally prefer werewolves outside of this game, but in ESO vampirism shits on lycantrophy.
That's not true. I'm a vampire and have done pvp with a mage at the same lvl and they knew I was a vampire and kept using fire attacks. In the end I was the one who lived. My vampire skills were actually what kept my ass alive.
I like how i can use all my other skill lines and passives in conjunction with vampire's abilities. It allows more versatility, and it allows me to build ultimate for Devouring Swarm much quicker. Plus the cost of using said ultimate, is much less, in addition to the stage 4 buff to vampire abilities. And as a Dunmer with flame resistance jewelry, the susceptibility to fire damage is negligible. The only downside is the 75% slower health regeneration. Which I attempt to minimize through potions, and my Draconic Power/Earthen Heart's respective skills/passives. I couldn't see myself choosing a werewolf, because I like my character as a whole. So I couldn't see myself choosing a skill line that would essentially have me become a new character/class for a brief moment of power. That being said, I've done dungeons with packs of werewolves and clans of vampires .....and werewolves absolutely REKT'D. So I felt this video didn't touch that much on how powerful werewolves actually when in that form. The form can be extended, and the power they put out can definitely make short work of enemy mobs.Plus there's the fact you are only susceptible to the Fighter's Guild skill line when in your ultimate form in Cyrodiil, whereas vampires ALWAYS are.
The werewolf has saved me a lot of times in pve and if you feed you can stay in the ww form for a longer time , the ww can self heal ,cost of stamina . And does a hell of a lot of melee damage, never tried the vampire but I think I will try it out on a new charr
For me Werewolf looks way better than a vamp. Im not doing any pvp, just completing amazing storylines as if it was a single player game, never leaving any adventuring zone undone. Hope one day ill get that opportunity to turn into primal beast, slaughtering ambient creatures and making common villagers run in fear. Must be a really cool feeling to play. Thats the way i think a mighty wolf beats a pale bat-swarm, doing it in style. P.S. Im not a man of numbers or a munchkin, just theoritizing stuff. Sorry for my bad english btw. And good luck with those vids, really interesting to watch :D
U left out the added health as health regen while in werewolf. The 2 aoe skills, the dot that is also a hot. The added attack speed. The 2 CCs. And that devour and a passive + pack leader make for really long werewolf times lol
Deltia, in one of your write-ups on racial passives, you mention that Bosmer work well as Werewolves. I'm wondering if you could elaborate on that a bit. Also, I'd like to know if you've attempted a Bosmer build yet...I'm just curious what that might look like.
Deltia's Gaming Yeah, that's pretty hefty. But, my 2nd question is: What would be the most powerful build you could come up with for a Bosmer? I'm thinking it would have to emphasize its racial stats...but maybe not. I hate to think the only good Bosmer build is as a WW.
idoldissr Build your Bosmer as a Nightblade and use your bow, and dual wield when in close combat. The stamina regeneration is great for going ham with your weapon skills, while the extra damage while in stealth is great for that opening shot. Poison arrow with an extra heavy auto while they're charging you, and by the time they're at your position, you simply respond with an instant Assassin's Blade to their chest from the Assassination tree, and you have a dead enemy. Morph it into Killer's Blade and if that enemy is dead, you'll heal 17% of your max health. Meaning even if he did manage to tickle your fancy with a swing or two, it felt good. I'd then suggest either light or medium armor, to keep yourself mobile and quick. Light if you wish to kite easier, or medium if you wish to jump in the fray and be a dual wielding maniac. Compliment the melee with Siphon and you receive a nice ranged life steal skill, a 30 second stun and a 40% slow WHILE gaining a 40% buff to your own movement speed. Essentially, as a werewolf and Bosmer, you'll rarely run out of stamina, you'll bring some self healing to the fight, have CC, sustain DPS damage and the ability to kite/peel. Along with those, you'll also gain the knockback skill your bow will provide, further making you a beast (literally). You'll be able to handle anybody. Even werewolves... especially if you're one yourself! Nuke them from afar and when they close the distance thinking they got you where they wanted you, you pull out the twin blades and wreck havoc with your skills or transform into your beast form and rip them to shreds. Just remember to use/ask for buffs before the transformation as the buffs persists while in your beast form. And remember to always use poison arrows on those pesky dogs. It'll hurt more and more damage is great! Just make sure they don't eat you for dinner with the drop on you... you won't survive the exchange if he gets the jump on you first. Even with your entire arsenal at your disposal.
WW is critical to some pretty OP stamina builds. Even crazier combined with nord. But like you said it really comes down to what you need or prefer. WW has no negatives; unless you're in form which you don't need to be; unlike Vamp which does need to be. With that said everything you said is best to follow. WW will only fully shine in the right build. Otherwise its a waste since they cant seem to find a good place for it compared to Vamp. But then NOT a waste if you hate vamp. It's a free buff with no downside.
Tbh I'm having an insane amount of fun on my Redguard DK, and I don't want to change my build to work around morphing into werewolf for every big engagement like bosses. If anything I think that would slow down my PvE (which is 100% of what I do in the game) experience and fun in game. That being said, I am *constantly* sprinting about the world either on my horse or just running about on my own two legs, so much so that when i reach my target i want to fight, I'm out of stamina. Because of this, i changed my character to an Ardent Flame DK so i would use magika for my abilities. So, going werewolf and never using the form, just for the 25% stam regen in combat would be my only motivation, whereas vampire has some really fun possibilities that I am sure I will really enjoy, like; devouring swarm as a panic (oh sh** thats a lot of enemies), Accelerating drain for the movement speed (i run everywhere), supernatural recovery for the stam/magika recovery, dark stalker for stealing everything, and undeath for even better sustain in big pve engagements like soloing world bosses without stuns (for the fun of it)
I tend not to play PvP anyways and as a personal preference I love werewolves, thus I think I'd definitely use a werewolf, vampires are definitely good mage builds but I tend to play a close up build meaning the benefits of a vampire would be completely redundant, while stamina regen would be more of a help for my weapon damage.
Please. Keep helping people make the decision to go Nightblade. I love making them regret that decision in PvP as I own them. :) haha Your videos are great, Delta.
I personnaly play an Imperial WW DK and it is strong in PvE. With a greatsword and a mix of Hunding Rage, Ashen Grip and Footman (trinkets) all 7/7 medium, I deal 16K single target DPS just with light attacks and refreshing claws of life and that's not even on a fully optimized build. If you realy want to max out the potential DpS of a WW character get the following sets Valkyn Skoria 2/2 (Head,Shoulder) medium Ravager 5/5 (Chest,Legs) Heavy + Trinkets Hunding Rage 5/5 (Boots,Gloves,Belt) Medium + Weapons Mundus : I use the Warrior but the Shadow might actualy be better Potions : 20% Weapon Dmg, 10% Weapon Crit Chance, Stamina Recovery And you will reach crazy DpS just by using light attacks and refreshing Claws of Life. Each light attacks have a chance to increase your weapon dmg by 600 for 10sec with Ravager and call down a Meteor with Valkyn Skoria since it procs on DoT effects from Claws of Life and from Bleed damage which your light attacks causes one very hit. When you build around the WW transformation the results are incredible! :)
G'day Deltia, Recently subbed to you after getting back into ESO and I was wondering if you could recommend me to a templar tanking build for PVE.Only leveling with a friend at the moment but looking to eventually tank end-game as well.
Did you fail to notice that if you get the entire werewolf bar, it makes a completely "round" gameplay? Thus, making werewolf form more than worthy over vampire as far as dps. Granted you were right that it takes away your taunt... if your in a pack of werewolves, everyone is equal and it's needed. Also, it seems on nights around a full moon (your character will start growling and such in "normal" mode (or not transformed) and your bars get bigger and regen faster. I noticed this especially when I would go through a door and all of a sudden I'm growling... (like I said, around full moons, or even the day of) because normally it doesn't do so. Once you get WW 10 and your morphs it's not hard to stay in werewolf form the duration of an entire dungeon, especially do to devour.
P.S. Plus if you use the wood elf resist skill, and put some CP into poison resist as well, it's not that bad. Also, you can morph the DOT skill on your bar to "claws of life" that will help restore poison damage you've taken.
I happened to roll a wood elf for aesthetic reasons. Would countering a vampires weakness to fire on this character hinder other more important stats as a spellcaster? Curious if vampire is worth keeping with my current setup.
I've played/maxed out both werewolf/vampire and I personally I feel vampire is much more weak than werewolf due the massive fire damage but with werewolf, your only effected by poison but only in werewolf form but even then it's barely even enough to notice.
mist form saved me so many times in pvp hehe does werewolf still generate ultimate? I use to be a dragon knight werewolf dual resto and be able get banners up in no time.
Hey Deltia. You're a great youtuber and I have learned alt but I'm struggling on building my Dragonknight. I was wondering if you could do a build on a dark elf dragonknight vampire.
Iv not even watched the video yet but i know for a fact from experience that vampires are health recovery and Magicka builds and werewolves are dps and stamina builds
I'm more seriously playing Skyrim for the first time and when I get to Dawnguard I'm going to have to be werewolf over vampire for RP (I don't want to be a bloodsucker), but in ESO when I actually get it, vampire might be awesome. I don't want to transform. However, neither are very appealing to me and I'd love to see something else happen (like maybe something closer to the concept of aedra and good spirits, not daedra and monsters, just saying).
I became a vampire at level 10 and I'm finally just getting to rank 5 almost rank 6 vampire and I'm now level 28 so it does a bit of time to level vampire but it's worth it.
I'm a major vampire fan in any game or tv or movie series, but this video was majorly biased, lol.
vampires are gay
+eduardo escorcio Nah, chill. 👌
+Alejandro Mirabal he didn't have to say the vampire is the best point blank just because he likes it doesn't mean werewolf sucks
Alejandro Mirabal well, when the thing starts he says "vampire is better". So what makes you think this is biased?
Vampire vs Werewolf in the Elder Scrolls Online
Or
Vampires are in my opinion are the best here is why, oh and here is what is bad about a werewolf
Lot of misspellings i know got frustrated at video and wrote this in rage but its all true.
Wesley Mccrary You say that and yet I've haven't seen one elite PvPer use WW in a build or on the battlefield. Thanks for your opinion.
Deltia has played over 2000 hours of eso you just started im pretty sure he knows more than you lol
I agree with u in PC version I wrecked stuff in dungons and stuff in PvP I did good enough. also ww are stronger in packs
OK I have two points to make here:
A) this is not a review. This is a blatant, and might I add, see through, attempt at a put-down on werewolf. A review, even an opinion one like this, would take the pros and cons of BOTH werewolf and vampire and THEN give an opinion. Instead you just tried to put-down werewolf
B) its obvious you love vampire and I respect that, but if your going to call it a review you could give werewolf more than a MINUTE of coverage!!!!!!
anyway, that concludes my comment, let the hate COMMENCE
Alex Gregory he stated the 15% stam benefit of werewolf. What other benefit from WW could there be?
Brandon Spengel Hmmm, maybe being able to turn into a giant beast? Or is that to imaginative for you?
Did this guy get rid of my post?
Alex Gregory nvm
Alex Gregory im with alex
Elder Scrolls is probably only game series where Vampires are more annoying than worth it
Really, you're telling people to take Vampires into PvP against fire siege weapons, Dragonknights with their Ardent Flames skills and ANY enemy on the battlefield having the ability to be carrying a fire staff... yet not PvE where the Vampire SHINES because there is LESS fire being thrown at you...
Werewolves have a healing ability that can be spammed right back to full health.
Jacob Huddleston Except you take more than is received. If you are a werewolf and fight a vamp, the vamp will win.
UNLESS you know what you are doing.
"and u lose all ur skillz"
note, he didn't explain any of the abilities in ww form, or why they're "not as effective" as vampire abilities.
seriously dude, if you're gonna say "oh werewolf looks cool, everything looks cool but their abilities are shit," you might aswell explain why they're shit.
This video was one of the best videos I have ever gone to for an information source, congratulations sir. Please keep up the good work
As someone who's been a werewolf for a very long time in ESO, I have a few disagreements with this.
Now, I also have a character that is a vampire, and I will agree with every point in the vampire category. It is very powerful if built correctly, and usually very annoying to fight in PvP. So all-in-all, the two are vastly different in both what they are, what they are weak for, and what they excel at.
Must be weird seeing an Argonian turn to a Werewolf 😂
lol, peeps often comment on that. I just like seeing a lizard turn into a canine. :P
The vampire tree have better passives and werewolf has a better ultimate which also gives you another bar of useful skills (including a fear skill) imo, but it really depends whether you're stamina or magicka. The only thing about vampire is that you need to learn the bloody mara recipe to really get the most use out of it (and re-apply your drink of choice when you're at the right stage), and if you're a werewolf you gotta use the ultimate or the passives/skills are kinda useless.
u favored vamp so much u said nothing about wolf..
honestly bad vid.. u glorified vamps and explained some moves,
u said wolfs only use there paasive and such in form... then u stoped talking about it.
honest opinion. did not like the vid. give the review some equivalence not a one sided review
honest rating. 2 out of 10.. cause it felt sooo one sided bro..
Highly agree
My honest opinion, your a weiner
Honest rating: you're an idiot
hahahaha
Right
Deltia's Gaming I agree on your point, BUT: When you're a werewolf, the enchants on your normal weapons before using the ult still apply, same for armour. For example, when I attack in werewolf, I tend to electrocute/burn my opponents with the claws.
Marcel Troscianko sweet! i was already going to be a werewolf, now ima be a werewolf mage!
Marcel Troscianko you know like a werewolf with flames on his hands, sprinting at you on all fours, ready to burn your face off.
So it's a lot of fun on both sides if you work together.
you should explain all the skills from the werewolf, ginger
He pretty much actually did. You can use your werewolf abilities when you are actually a werewolf. Vampires last forever
This is why vampires are* typod
Cool vid man, thanks for the updated version.
WeatherWand73 TY that's nice to hear! Just love the damn game and it's people.
This is my favourite video of yours because of the extreme level of infirmity and the sheer quality of video. I have been a subscriber for six months now and congratulate you on achieving your goal on 10K subs. Hope to see more content in future!
Only problem with werewolf: How fucking short the time in form is
Im playing a breton templar duel wield aedric spear and a vamp Im level 5 vamp, Im trying to get better at pvp but I suck as vamp with pvp should I stay vamp or try werewolf?
Alex mason Just keep leveling with the vampire and try to find ways to counter the fire damage, so try staying rank one. Don't go PVP as werewolf you will be raped by all the archers and Fighters Guild players.Stay Vamp and try leveling a bit, character and Vampire wise
The Wolf-God Ive been spamming all the abilities and I'm level eight now I just don't like it I'm about to cure it and stay human for a bit.
Alex mason Yeah probably just stay human until you can get enough skills/abilities to counter the vampires negatives
The Wolf-God Yeah Ive decided to stay vampire I just don't know who to negate it without the jewelry I dont know where to get the necklaces :(
Great content bro, just picked up the game for PS4. I'm still very confused lol but your vids have helped a lot. Subbed
Still a better love story than twilight...
Fanboy flicks?
blackpeoplemeet.com
I like your videos cause they teach me a lot about this Elder Scrolls I've only played Skyrim for 360 soo these are very helpful Thanks =)
vampire might be better but werewolf has more sweg
Actually....that's still vampires lol.
Niggas trying to tell us that vampire is better then werewolf when he doesn't even have devour on werewolf 😂
XD
XD
XD
XD
XD
Your videos are so Helpful :D thanks!
If you roll vampire in pvp... Youre fucking insane.
to be honest Werewolf serves another purpose, and thats to turn a Tank into a DPS .
the Werewolf attacks are great for that snap damage, combined with armor sets like whitestrakes your able to able to be survivable in that form aswell, i use it to crush my way through waves of mobs rather than wade slowly as a tank.
it adds lots of functionality to my build. im a Templar.
taking WW is akin to getting a whole extra weapon set and bar for DPS.
all I heard was vampire is better than werewolf without actually showing the werewolfs abilities. how am I suppose to know if your right if all you talk about is vampires ult and passives and yet ignore werewolves.
you are waaaaayyyy to baised on this.
Going to be simple and to the point.....Great video.
Your kidding right? Do a real comparison not just pick your favorite. Waste of time...
I'd love to see a update/new look since there have been considerable buffs for werewolf. Lefty Lucy loves to use WW in PvP also, so for everyone who might be interested, look into his channel.
I'm a werewolf in ESo I hate vampires,WEREWOLFS ARE BETTER!!!!!!!
IDK why youtube wanted me to rewatch this now 😀😀
@Deltia's Gaming, I always appreciate you input on ESO.
Really like your Channel. Can't wait for the game to come out on xbox:)
tbh what i like about ww is u can pop it in a crowd, or to get into a keep and pop it, also has a really cool ability set, infectious claws plus light attack combo is deadly! combined with a self heal and a fear, and u can potentially destroy some peeps with some combos, so much DOT, dnt mean to hate on vamps, i have a ww and a vamp btw and they are both cool in their own ways
(I remember you covered it would be difficult in PvE as vamp, but how would a vr1 stack up against it?)
By the way, very informative :)
That is if you want to know more on how to play as a werewolf and what the werewolf can do in PvP.
can u update the info on this. your take on where they stand now and what to have for stam builds and magika builds.
You really make me choose between theese two pal! Im with vampires, but tell me, how much of this video keep actual? Ty for the vid, amazing work.
sry again for my english but there is one point you missed about vampire. i´m playing a nightblade and i love to hit people from stealth with camouflaged hunter. you can use it in stealth and if you hit a vampire with suprise attack and camouflaged hunter you will love it to become a new van helsing in cyrodil.
Crommanvil Yeah its a def problem for Vamps.
Stamina users should use werewolf, cause if you have enough stamina you can pretty much make your opponent unable to move or get away while you destroy them
You should do a Nightblade Werewolf Stam build w/ Two-Handed & Bow. It is powerful and fun.
I have this build and I have to say it's fun for now
+Patrick Morris
Surprise hot patch.
Yeah, but one handed weapons are WAY better for DPS.
VanguardBot
Eh, I don't need One Hand and Shield with Berserker Werewolf. I do enough.
I enjoy nightblade, I may try out vamp on my NB, but he already struggles so much with survivability.
let me know, sir!
WorshipInTruth Nope they both can be cured easily at mages guild in home city.
Deltia's Gaming Good to know.
And your character already dead anyway.
Cough* No soul Cough*
You get a fragment of your soul from your first akatosh sky shard so you are alive but barely , that's why you get stronger with every skyshard
I've seen far more werewolves in PVP than i've seen vampires and werewolf skills are pretty powerful. i do a decent amount of damage as a werewolf and i'm not even a stamina user on my character (i just use the skill for fun not for serious runs). the ultimate doesn't take super long to charge either (it gets reduced as you level up the skill) and you can stay in the form a pretty long time especially if you invest in all of the passives
the problem with vampires is they have too many disadvantages but also they are way to powerful, i feel as if vampires take way too much time to take care of, considering they take too much damage i get melted alot of the time using them.
if you see a guy with a fire enchant, RIP, your done.
good luck tanking aswell.
with werewolves you can use it as a utility, regen health in the form, deal thousands of damage (WITH THE RIGHT BUILD DONT RAGE ) speed around and kill enemys in pve, and yes you can tank as a werewolf, its quite easy.
also in my opinion they both have upsides and downsides but its just what you prefer really.
pve = werewolf
pvp = vampire
also the time in form is a reason for it being a massive utility ultimate.
good thing you actually played the game or watched the video. because something like "fire resistance" clearly doesn't exist... god this cherry picking is seriously grinding my gears. there are facts, read it up. stop denying vampirism is better, it is.
You don't have to equip a skill to level vampire up. It just levels by getting XP in general. Right?
+Flo Ul you have to have atleast one skill on your ability bar from the skill line for you to earn any xp for it
+Its Alpha Not for Vampirism
Dr.Kr3do but for werewolf
+Its Alpha Vampirism gets xp from feeding on npc-s too even with no skill slotted.
Also there needs to be a dlc like daw guard so you have vampire lord transformation and mainly so you can do the glitch to be both of them
No.
This isn't skyrim, gtfo
+Nub Shadow you gtfo minecraft kiddie
Very nice! you never know what you don't know :D
So I just noticed that when Im in werewolf form if I have an enchanted weapon the enchantment still works
Deltia, in one of your write-ups on racial passives, you mention that Bosmer work well as Werewolves. I'm wondering if you could elaborate on that a bit. Also, I'd like to know if you've attempted a Bosmer build yet...I'm just curious what that might look like.
idoldissr 15% on top of 21% stamina regen.
Would be great if you showed how the level 12 got through the vampire quest.
Grogin Harconin got through it at lvl 6. only requires you to equip a bow. stealth + heavy attacks + a bit of kiting = easy mode.
+Brandon Spengel i did it at lvl 3 :D
You can just buy either on the Crown Store now.
Please. Keep helping people make the decision to go Nightblade. I love making them regret that decision in PvP as I own them. :) haha Your videos are great, Delta.
Joseph Budd Not Nightblade - Vampire* ha I love making vampires regret their decision they made. :)
Whoa, which armor is he wearing at 8:41
I like how he said you have great healing then changes his mind
I personnaly play an Imperial WW DK and it is strong in PvE. With a greatsword and a mix of Hunding Rage, Ashen Grip and Footman (trinkets) all 7/7 medium, I deal 16K single target DPS just with light attacks and refreshing claws of life and that's not even on a fully optimized build.
If you realy want to max out the potential DpS of a WW character get the following sets
Valkyn Skoria 2/2 (Head,Shoulder) medium
Ravager 5/5 (Chest,Legs) Heavy + Trinkets
Hunding Rage 5/5 (Boots,Gloves,Belt) Medium + Weapons
Mundus : I use the Warrior but the Shadow might actualy be better
Potions : 20% Weapon Dmg, 10% Weapon Crit Chance, Stamina Recovery
And you will reach crazy DpS just by using light attacks and refreshing Claws of Life.
G'day Deltia, Recently subbed to you after getting back into ESO and I was wondering if you could recommend me to a templar tanking build for PVE.Only leveling with a friend at the moment but looking to eventually tank end-game as well.
wubicus Mainly the same as every other tank with Radiant Ward. Let me get a build out for t3 then I think you'll understand
So with elder scrolls online there's no vampire lord transformation
there never was vampire lord in any elder scrolls that is a dlc for skyrim
+darklordschannel Skyrim is and elder scrolls game oh smart one
+Void Walker yes i know i was saying that there never was any transformation until the elder scrolls 5 skyrim introduced it in the first dlc
The reason there is no vampire lord transformation is that it is a special clan/bloodline
maybe eso will include it in dlc like db and thief guilds
mist form saved me so many times in pvp hehe does werewolf still generate ultimate? I use to be a dragon knight werewolf dual resto and be able get banners up in no time.
breakinmedia Nope, ult nerfed now too.
Do you guys think vampire is better than werewolf for a nightblade dual-wield class? Or is it better to be neither? Thanks for any help/suggestions.
Hey Deltia. You're a great youtuber and I have learned alt but I'm struggling on building my Dragonknight. I was wondering if you could do a build on a dark elf dragonknight vampire.

Deltia's Gaming oh. Lol. Thx watching now
great video, not to long but very informative
nightblade (siphon spec) + vamp + brenton = unkillable glory
Sounds quite easy to counter, 1 cc break with a few bashes completely breaks your build
