They sure will have Jason Derulo's songs playing, who is getting hated by some BTS army lol. He was already a legend before collab with BTS. Even Lisa Monaban peformed his song on stage. @@samiarahman4456 Basically, the controller represents the fans (BLINKs). He said that when Lisa was building the controller in the beginning of the MV, that was representing them building the fan base of BLINKS. The reason the controller represents BLINKS is because Blinks kind of control what kinds of songs BLACKPINK put out (just like any relationships of artists and fans). There were shots with the controllers in the fish tanks with fish. I think he said that represents the new fans joining the fan base. As the MV goes on, you see more and more fish tanks. That means they are getting more and more popular and gaining more fans.

I honestly think the "controlling" theory is more like their company than their fans. Because this is their debut song so they still didn't have a fandom at that time but the theory applies so well with how their company treats them. I mean the dying tree as a representation of their career because their company has been delaying their debut that they were unsure if they'll ever debut. The running around the circle which could also apply to how they kept being promised their debut but it keeps being delayed and their plans for them keeps being cancelled. And fishes in the tank is like representing how their company seems to keep on suppressing them so they are like fishes in the tank like they can do so much but they are supressed by the limited space that they are given. And the song talks about how they want that someone to look at them and give them love and i think that also talks about asking their company to show them some love because there's a whole rumor about yg (the main man of yge at that time) being envious of blackpink because Teddy (bp's main producer) takes all the credit with blackpink because he's basically the one who created them so yg didn't like that. That's also why there was a lot of delays, long hiatuses and why blackpink released so little songs since debut. But despite all the controlling and supressing they still know one day they'll take over the world because "everytime they show up they blow up".

@@zumratufan1098 if you didn't know they debuted blackpink without proper predebut promotions, they just released the BBHMM dance practice then some photos 2weeks before debut date. yg himself said at that time he is not expecting them to be successful but they just needed to fill in the space for a girlgroup in their company because they disbanded 2ne1, he even said their debut performance was still lacking like he really didn't want them to debut yet. Blackpink didn't appear on any interviews or tv appearances when they debuted just the reagular music shows. The multiple long hiatus and small discography and and no promotions are the things that does not make sense for a group that blew up immediately on their debut. They didn't even want them to release Whistle but Teddy and blackpink fought for it because they know what they're doing. That's why i said it might be a shade to their company because even from the beginning their company have been pushing them back
@@mainelypinay3962 as i said their debut have been pushed back over and over again for 4 years, blackpink said they felt unsure and worried being still a trainee for around 6years because they didn't know if they'lll ever debut. I mean imagine they would've learned all the things they needed for years in training and being promise they'll debut this time yet it still keep being delayed, i'm sure they must have felt like running in circles. Also the fact that everything they do is being under yge's strict supervision since trainee, like they said they have only shown the "perfect" image of themselves.

My theory on the BlackPink name is a bit different. The pink means Pretty, a more feminine side as you mentioned, while for the black, it is a darker side of them, a whole different side, a savage side, hidden under their beauty, like a mask, the pretty side. Like roses with thorns. Not sure if any of you guys noticed, but the lyric ‘Black to the pink we are pretty and savage’ is actually placed in Ddu-du-ddu-du and Boombayah, with Jennie singing it in ddu-du... and Jisoo singing it in Boombayah, with different phrasing’s, but same meanings. Also, in a MV or theirs, Rose places on a bandit mask, as she said Because it’s about to be your turn.(How you like that) In that basically it’s her placing on her dark side, over her pretty side, like she is about to turn the tables on you. Basically speaking nonsense here but this is my theory.

As someone who can properly spot,appreciate and explain video edits and transitions, I would love for you to react to any of the Seventeen music videos if you haven’t seen them. They like to hide a lot (like A LOT) or transitions, surprises and what not in their video edits. Almost all of their videos are amazing but a few to start with could be HIT, CLAP, Boom Boom, Left and Right, Home Run.

cause the affect of blackpinks growth changed yg's plans for bp, they didn't expect bp to get THIS big so they weren't trying to make their music ''global'' at the time, plus times change and bp/teddy started figuring out their own colour and what type of music they want to make. no artist or producer wants to keep making the same old music, there's not one artist that continues to make the same music throughout their career.

Comparing to their past combacks, each comeback has unique vibe/concept. Wistle/Boombayah -> Playing with fire -> As if it's ur last -> ddu du ddu du. Then they basically went the same with "Kill this love" and "how you like that". I like them, but i wish it was something different.
And yes, Wistle is still by far one of their best song.
