Minnie's dating Miyeon's ex in the story, and Minnie is like the top of the girl food chain in the MV. Soyeon wants to be all of them, but Yuqi wants to be Shuhua, Shuhua wants to be Miyeon, and Miyeon wants to be Minnie. Minnie is the Regina George. Besides the movie references, this whole concept is based on Soyeon's experiences as a CUBE trainee as she was a contestant on the shows Produce 101 and Unpretty Rapstar. Soyeon was ridiculed for being 'ugly' and 'unfit' to be in a group or to debut. She was also advised to undergo plastic surgery to fit the beauty standards of Korea. And this was happening to her when she was 17 years old.
I actually interpreted the set of girls as the cards they represent- I.e.: Soyeon's different personalities fighting inside of her. Minnie is the Queen of Diamonds- The celebrity and fame and beauty that Soyeon wants, Yuqi and Shuhua are Spade and Clubs- who Soyeon thinks she is - and Miyeon the Queen of Hearts- self accepting Soyeon. This is why Miyeon is the last one Soyeon sees at the end of the music video, because Mieyon *gets through*. She's the last one in, while the paper plane doesn't make it. Miyeon is not jealous, she doesn't want to be Minnie. The lyrics indicate that Miyeon goes over to Minnie to hug her and tell her she accepts and cares about her. Visually it's a bit off because Miyeon is not a great hugger. But Mieyon watches from the sides. It's Mieyon, the Queen of Hearts, who finally gets through in the end.
Also represented by the dance sequence- Soyeon/who she thinks she is vs Soyeon/two different paths she can take- the Diamond or the Heart. In the end she takes the heart.
@@sindieltaylor2147 Yeah I agree, but *internally* that is not who Mieyon represents. Narratively it doesn't make sense through the rest of the video for Mieyon to be jealous. At the time Mieyon is singing, she's singing to Minnie how unique and special she is and should be celebrated for it. Another eg, Mieyon does the over the shoulder in the mirror look before transforming into Soyeon. My interpretation of that is from how often it's done in their past videos, and iirc it's used as a way for them to convey a sense of "self love". Why would Mieyon, aside from lyrically, be the last one to be seen before Soyeon passes out? The sweetness and invtation of her asking if Soyeon wants to be the Queen of Hearts, then waking up, makes sense to me. Aside from an awkward looking hug, and again I think that's just Miyeon, her actions through the video show me a caring, kind woman trying to show love. In fact the very opposite to what she is in the real world. If you have other theories I'm all up for them! Just my interpretation.
that makes so much sense!! i think minnie isn't exactly at the top though, because in the first scene of allergy it's implied that she feels lonely. maybe that's why she goes and gets a bf in the first place.
I think that is really important - she puts the phone away, smiles, and walks off. I would also add though that this is Soyeon writing from her own experience. She makes it clear at the end of the video that she has felt all these things - we know the criticism she received for her looks when she began her career. I think she is also saying "this is what I achieved by being confident in who I am"
@@vixxexo6855Random words? The lyrics are mean to be goofy and taken lightly, but that doesn't make it nonsense. I personally dont like the second verse of Yuqi but the lyrics made sense, its just being who you are, feeling yourself, because a confident person is a queencard already.
@@vixxexo6855 queencard it's about being confident without comparing yourself, going out and partying without caring allergy it has a message more of insecurity, it shows that everyone, no matter how "perfect" they seem on social media, is never perfect in real life that's it, it's not that hard to interpret both songs
i think the end of queencard signified that you should just be yourself, and have confidence. as you said, a queencard is someone who is the popular girl, and calling yourself that is like the epitome of confidence. in the picture you could see she was at the party, being who she is, doing whatever she wants. so if i had to describe the ending, it’s that soyeon realised that she should stay being herself, and that she could be proud of herself and who she is.
Yeah that's exactly it. She went out and said eff it and was herself and posted even though she wasn't 'anybody' and those girls who was idolizing noticed her. So while Soyeon was convinced she could never have that confidence or be the type of girl other people looked up to she actually got all of that by staying true to who she is because the girls she idolized at the end of the way were just other girls and social media isn't everything. Just like we see Miyeon, super jealous and depressed Minnie gets the guy get over herself and she makes friends with her anyway and then she's happier for realizing it's the friends that matter not having the perfect photo for online.
I always thought Queencard was satire even Soyeon said not to take it too seriously. It’s obvious she’s not actually telling us to twerk on the runaway, it’s about what these popular people say to themselves
@@lunarialoonatic i think thats fair, but i was thinking more abt whats happening in the music video. but yeah, i definetly see ur point when u read the lyrics!
Queencard ending is more like "I don't need to be pretty, I'm queen for myself" and she was acknowledged by people just for what she is - herself. So she actually went to the party but behind the scenes. She was reading an invitation to the party in Allergy. And we saw her twisted dreamy version of it in Queencard. The message is very powerful - love yourself and be confident. And the ending of Queencard is kinda symbolic since she gets recognition as she is from girls she was looking up to much to her surprise. She got confidence in herself. And I guess the second message of the ending is - you don't need all sns bs to feel pretty and confident.
@@dilanhos2499 ayo same, and I thought the queen card was actually the surgery option because is that kinda behaviour popular rich spoiled bullies have lol. Also they are all changing to that red, rebel, kind of aggressive vibe...I liked more the first part honestly :P the rest was a little bit chaotic haha, no hate by me tho.
The meaning of the two songs is that soyeon always looked up to her friends shuhua, minnie, yuqi and miyeon. She always thought she was less prettier than them, even calling herself ugly. However, in queencard, we can see all of soyeon's friends turn into her in some clips, that means she has always been as beautiful as them, she just lacked self confidence. The meaning of these songs is that you don't have to compare yourself with others, your body is perfect as you are and you're enough, all you need is confidence.
I also take the end of queencard being as she's always received positive messages from her friends and social media, but never noticed them simply due to her low self confidence
The ending tells us that she got a lot of likes. But whilst she got acknowledged on social media, she looks up at the sky and she looks to be thinking a lot. Not happy for being recognized, then she puts the phone away (bc she realizes likes are nothing) and walks away happily as herself in the moment
@@JordanOrme she actually did go to the party, she was there but they didn't notice her because she wasn't confidence enough until she got out from the hospital then they approched her, and queencard MV was a dream version of the party that was the day before
@@sugarmilkandhoneyhow does that even make sense? this is a (g)i-dle video, who even said i liked new jeans? what if i only listen to (g)i-dle and not other groups? think smarter now harder
A bit of context. She has been bullied throughout her career for being "too ugly for K-Pop". It's not about where you get your validation from, it's about succeeding when you don't fit the norm. Having said that, I wouldn't have noticed any of this without your as usual awesome breakdown. All I see is pretty lights and pretty girls, including Soyeon.
I rewatched the Queencard video and noticed something at the end. See, Soyeon has all these encouraging messages of praise on her phone... then she turns it off and goes on with her day. So she decides that caring about what she looks like and what others think of it doesn't really matter at all. She decides to feel not beauty, but life.
The point is she realized her looks doesn't matter, her confidence last night thinking she is a cool girl and sexy, even if others said in allergy that's not true, is what made SY a Queencard, even if she's thick or thin what you need is confidence so even others will look up to you since it's the hardest thing to achieve.
I love that (G)I-DLE took inspiration from Ariana Grande's MV "Side to Side" for the Bicycle part and Little Mix's MV "Black Magic" in 7:29 for their MV concept in Allergy. That's why one of their lyrics in Queencard is "looks so cute, looks so pretty like Ariana"
I think you misunderstood the morals in the end. I belive it meant that when she finally decided love herself instead of trying to be someone else or seek validation from others, she discovered people she looked up to already liked her for who she was. And the message she wrote in the back of the Queencard lesson and sent in the paper plane is that she was already beautiful as herself. Queencard is a 2000s american slang very popular between korean gen Zs currently.. it sorta has the same meaning of "it girl" (they pronounce Queenka as Idle sings on the track). Fun fact.. they used their real instagram @ in the MV.
Ahhhhh Jordan, the teasers make the end of Queencard a little more clear, they’re all actually close friends, and all that ‘social media’ flashing at the end was from her real life friends.
This is a bit random, but I love how the mvs combined starts with Queencard, but ends with Allergy. Queencard = confidence Allergy = self consciousnesses Even what the media portrays as “Queencards” have “Allergies” too. Allergy = something people rarely have a specific one of and is scientifically just your body panicking at something that’s not a big deal How did anyone not notice this?!
@@LovelyLara123 I mean that at the beginning of allergy, a short snippet of Queencard is played, and at the end of queencard, the background music of allergy is played.
love the deeper meaning type stuff thats like "just accept yourself" kinda deal but its a bit ironic conssidering how many kpop idols have got extensive plastic surgery
sure but you can’t just swath an entire nationality of people in one stroke. g idle does not represent every kpop idol and vice versa. they’ve been picked on for looks especially the leader to this day. so let them tell their story, bp twice etc couldn’t tell it, but they can.
One other little thing that tips off that it's a dream sequence and that Soyeon is still asleep in the hospital is Miyeon's closet when she goes to get her robe. It's full of hospital scrubs and the same surgical gowns that Soyeon is wearing instead of the cute influencer clothes that Miyeon is wearing throughout the videos. I thought that was a nice touch.
3:17 okay so far no reactor has got what this scene is implying lol Yuqi and Shuhua drag SY to sit with the kids because it's implied that he bra size is so small she needs to shop in the kids section. It ties into the earlier scenes of he stuffing her bra and the scenes of SY picking the black bra but Yuqi taking it away and giving her the plain white one. SY's chest is one of her insecurities. 15:15 I think this scene where Minnie jumps into the swimming pool and everyone gets splashed is a reference to the movie Shallow Hal.
i think the end actually is so sweet, like we all know that having real interactions in the real world feels more authentic, but it's not like we can ignore the influence and incorporation of the digital world - especially social media. i think the point here is how people use social media in the end to support and empower each other, since sometimes it gets overwhelming and discouraging with all the hate and negativity we see and experience online. also, franklin is soooo cute!!! aaaaaa
In the dancebreak of queencard the lyrics are "girl wearing anything, queenc-c-card (i dont remember this linr well srry 😭) a girl who is thick or thin, queenc-c-card, girl full of confidence queenc-c-card..." so like it means no matter what u do or what you look like ur a queencard.
i think in allergy it was about soyeon wanting to be the it girl like minnie, but in queencard it’s revealed that she’s already receiving a lot of likes, just like minnie. i feel like it’s trying to show that even when we seem to have what we want or what others want, we will always still think someone else has it better. also the way the people are walking around her even while she’s receiving lots of likes shows how superficial likes are- they don’t reflect what your real life is like
At the end Queencard, Soyeon snapped shut her cell phone, cutting off all of the social media praise for her, which clearly indicates to me that she did indeed have the epiphany that the shallow validation of others is not what she truly needs to be the best and happiest version of herself.
I think the album had the potential to actually make it to more episodes, and honestly I was kind of expecting from the teasers that each song would be showing one of the girls perspective in an unique mv (After all we have an introduction to Minnie being famous but lonely, to Miyeon being jealous of Minnie, list goes on...) , but I do understand it's not that easy to just make a bunch of mv's at once. At the end it does feels like something is missing in the story, but at the same time taking the 2000's comedy movie theme and the limited time they had to show their story I think they did an amazing job still.
I love how (G)Idle tells everyone to just be themselves and to not worry about what others think. For actually representing LGBTQ+ in oh my god (and one scene in Queencard looked like Yuqi and Shuhua were very close), telling the Kpop industry to stop sexualizing idols in Nxde, to telling us to love and be ourselves in Tomboy and Queencard. They are an amazing group that isn’t appreciated nearly enough as they should be. Thank you Jordan for doing a video on them!
@@padlily2485nobody said they were dating irl lmao, but in the mv it looked like they were really close. being happy for lgbt representation isn’t sexualisation, you’re just showing how homophobic you are lol
In Queencard, everybody is Soyeon because Soyeon is imaginating who she will be after the surgery, and at the last parts she notices that she is perfect as the way she is💗💗✨✨( if you didn't understand Queencard)
Hello Jordan, I am not a video editor nor do I work in the music world. I am a fan of KPOP for the music but also for their visual world. So, I love watching your videos explaining the realization of all these good clips. It's really great to share your experience through funny videos. So thank you very much for your work!
the roles in allergy- soyeon-a normal teenage girl who doesn’t like her body minyeon-obsessed with minnie minnie-is so popular she doesn’t have real friends shuhua-teaching people to be happy yuqi-with shuhua but relates to soyeon
one thing viewers gotta acknowledge that Jordan can always (or be humble, almost) correctly read the meanings of all Kpop MVs he's reacted to. almost no miss and that's his thing not too many other Kpop MV reactors are capable to so.
the last part actually shows that she did went to the party hence the photo but as herself before the day of the surgery. soyeon was imagining herself as confident as minnie. then in the surgery she had that realization where she cud just be herself, be confident and she's already beautiful.
In my opinion the ending represents that insecurities are just in you mind and no one else will see them when you are confident in your skin hence the people walking by not caring . and the sudden fame in social media represents her dreams coming true to be popular because she was confident enough so now everyone she once looked up to admires her too
I believe with soyeon it’s about her being considered as “ugly” since if we look into irl before she even debuted she was always called the ugly idol and known as ugly she even said she knows she’s ugly (i think she’s beautiful )and it goes into how many people get plastic surgery (it’s literally considered a gift in Korea) and how in the end she didn’t go with the surgery and how she doesn’t need to be pretty and how she’s pretty the way she is and how people will like her for how she is and to like yourself the way your are and since she does she doesn’t go with the plastic surgery in the end she’s happy with the way she is
You NEED to react to S-Class by Straykids, it’s absolutely amazing and there are so many cool transitions that really blew me away! The time and effort that was made into the music video is truly astonishing.
this music video actually has a personal meaning for soyeon. back when she was on produce 101, people criticized her for not being pretty enough to be an idol. she was literally referred to as ugly and disappointment. but she proved her skills and ended up becoming beloved by so many fans. the storyline of her being worried about looks and people thinking she isn’t pretty actually comes from her own past.
It’s more about she posted the picture without caring what people will think because she was always watching her friends post and wanting to be them but feeling like she wouldn’t be good enough. When she chose to just feel confident realising others can feel the confidence too but she didn’t need it as she was on her own by posting regardless of outcome
I think the end of Queencard was pointing out that she was the one who waa unhappy with herself, it wasn't anyone online. SY kept searching for something she already had and getting surgery wasn't the answer. She's dreaming up this perfect version of herself who would be well liked and confident and admired, but she had that already. Idk how going into surgery helped her realize this, but the reality was that SY was already everything she wanted to be, she just had to see and believe it for herseld.
Kpop songs about self-acceptance and not caring what other people think are always so tone-deaf considering the strict diets and surgeries idols have to undergo/undergo voluntarily
i think allergy is about how not everything is how it seems and nobody is perfect and everyone has something they long for or that they are jealous of, and queencard is about how it doesnt matter how u behave or look just be urself and youll learn to love urself. i think thats why the two mvs were connected like a to be continued. there were so much little easter eggs in both mvs and deep meanings in each individual screen its honestly crazy 😭
best put, the song queencard with doctors dancing, miyeon in doctor's robs at the end... they are poking fun with exaggerated style and lyrics. i love how in the end it goes "i feel you" instead of "you should be you".
9:47 lol I liked when Queen Card started and how you said it gave us her point of view with how blurry it looked and with that blink and all. Well I wanted to add that I liked how they even had the doctors and nurses smiling at her and talking as she was coming out too. Ngl, when I first heard this song, it sounded like she was saying green card. I agree with you about the video though 👏🏼 Franklin is adorable omg 🥹💜😭🫶🏼
Jordan stray kids new album 5 star is out could you do a video on s-class the first mv to break it down? I love your videos and you explain the themes so well.
In Allergy Soyeon gets wrapped up in the fact that she isnt pretty and needs a plastic surgery to be loved. She overcomes this insecurity in Queencard.Even Miyeon faces similar issues with Minnie but they reunite in Queencard.
At one point the lyrics says "Wearing whatever girl Queen card Thin or thick girl queen card Full of confidence girl Queen card" I love these lyrics because they show how Soyeon ended up loving herself, and that all it took was self-acceptance because she was the one telling herself that (because she was dreaming). I think this is also part of why she "woke herself up", almost as if she was waking up from the idea that she isn't good enough. The likes and follows at the end also show that if you want others to accept you, you first have to love yourself, and unlike most scenes in the MV, checking social media seemed like a second thought, whereas the first was just going outside and enjoying herself Damn I feel like I just wrote a whole novel
Stray kids - S-class just dropped. You’re gonna go insane Jordan. I thought their transitions peaked last mv’s but boy was I wrong. The song and mv are all over the place. My brain was lagging at some point. You’re gonna love reacting at this!
I think Allergy and Queencard is showing the cycle of life. Because we know in life that there are ups and downs, in allergy its where Soyeon is insecure and wants to have surgery, but then in Queencard she realizes she doesnt want the surgery to continue so she gets out of the hospital and loves her for her, but you can hear in the end of Queencard its similar to the start to Allergy, and just like in Allergy MV Soyeon was walking down the street. So i think Allergy and Queencard shows how we could go from insecure to confident and back to being insecure, and a cycle.
Just as a next video idea, you should look at the S-Class MV from Stray Kids! Their new album dropped today and there's so many cool transitions in it!
I like that they added the kids using the phones. They are making the point that kids are now acting like they are older since that is all they see online instead of just being kids and playing with their friends and hanging out.
Thanks so much Jordan! Your reactions are always so mood-lifting, and it is a true blessing when you talk about your faith and Jesus 🤩Wondering if you could pls unpack Stray Kids comeback MV S-Class sometime?
If you notice in the beginning, she was going to the consulting room and not going out of the consulting room which means this was before the events of Allergy when she decided to take the surgery. The club scene happened before Allergy since Yuqi was talking about Soyeon on her line mentioning Kim K and Ariana, they even showed her clip in between those lines. It was a dream but it really did happen. Yes. Soyeon said she intended to make this funny and cheesy. She said to not take it seriously. Soyeon was inspired by the rom com movie I Feel Pretty. The way she walks away on the end means that she really didnt care about the follows and likes she got.
I think the ending of queencard just shows that Soyeon doesn't need to change to be accepted, plus the fact that she just put her phone back in her pocket without paying that much attention to it (in comparaison with Minnie at the beginning of allergy) shows that she doesn't really care about people online, it wasn't really what she needed. She was happy dancing and being herself at the end of allergy and the fact that the paper plane didn't reach her just shows that she was already happy and didn't need the chirurgy and all
Hey Jordan! this MV is amazing and are quite a few aways to interpret it: (of course there are more things to look at both MVs besides what I list below): 1 - Queencard/Queenbee is a mentality whose pillars are self esteem and confidence. But most of the women in this world don't get it. 2 - Since the begining Soyeon is the cool one, Minnie is the sex girl, and Miyeon is the popular one (but we will only discover that with Queencard MV), BUT none of them see themselves like this, they are not really happy with themselves and are trying to become another person (we see this in Allergy MV). 3 - Bring both MVs together we basically see the old saying that "the grass is greener on the other side" so we have Soyeon trying to be Minnie because she is pretty/sexy/hot, while Minnie wants to be Soyeon cause she is really cool, and we have Miyeon who wants to be sexy like Minnie and pretty/cool like Soyeon ('cause in Queencard and Allergy MVs shows that her ex have interest both in Minnie and Soyeon at the parties - notice that in queencard Minnie represents Soyeon.) 4 - In Bambam's show Minnie said "I'm the trainer" (in Quuencard). So she basically the sexy/hot famous trainer who is Soyeon/Miyeon's Muse. But she is not happy with her life (as we see in Allergy) 5 - On the side we have Yuqi/Shua like Miyeon's minnions and once they saw Soyeon they want to be more like her instead be like Miyeon. 6 - Finally we have Soyeon who at the end remembers like she is cool like hell and decided to be herself. And is finally comfortable in her own skin (like the last verse of the song: "A girl wearing whatever", "A girl who's thin or thick", "A girl full of confidence"). 7 - About the message at the end (the "I feel_______" part) is a message to remember women (and in fact any person no matter no matter the gender) about that we should love ourselves but there are days that we don't feel so great (blue/lonelly) and it ok, its normal. The "I feel you" can be interpreted in many ways and will hit different for each person: for me means the girls, even tho they are celebrities/artist, they understand us cause they also feel the same - the same pressure, the same insecurities, the same feelings. We can debate both MV for years to come cause it has a lot of critics about beauty standars, women empowerment, social media, influencers etc.

@@vixxexo6855Random words? The lyrics are mean to be goofy and taken lightly, but that doesn't make it nonsense.
I personally dont like the second verse of Yuqi but the lyrics made sense, its just being who you are, feeling yourself, because a confident person is a queencard already.
@@vixxexo6855 queencard it's about being confident without comparing yourself, going out and partying without caring
allergy it has a message more of insecurity, it shows that everyone, no matter how "perfect" they seem on social media, is never perfect in real life
that's it, it's not that hard to interpret both songs
i think the end of queencard signified that you should just be yourself, and have confidence. as you said, a queencard is someone who is the popular girl, and calling yourself that is like the epitome of confidence. in the picture you could see she was at the party, being who she is, doing whatever she wants. so if i had to describe the ending, it’s that soyeon realised that she should stay being herself, and that she could be proud of herself and who she is.
Nv though I would meet tignari here 😏
i totally agree and i love that. i think that was for sure the intention, but i just think they could have done a better job executing it :)
@@sippingteaemoji because queencard was a twisted fever dream of Soyeon after narcosis.
we basically were told the twisted version of that party.
@@Aru_J_Sol oi I meant what I liked of the MV obvs, I appreciated your comment in its totality dw xD 😉
It’s quite the opposite. In queencard it’s Soyeon copying the stuff the other girls do
The ending tells us that she got a lot of likes. But whilst she got acknowledged on social media, she looks up at the sky and she looks to be thinking a lot. Not happy for being recognized, then she puts the phone away (bc she realizes likes are nothing) and walks away happily as herself in the moment
i love this! i just don't know that the filmmakers explained this very well
@@JordanOrme she actually did go to the party, she was there but they didn't notice her because she wasn't confidence enough until she got out from the hospital then they approched her, and queencard MV was a dream version of the party that was the day before
i love queencard and allergy so much

A bit of context. She has been bullied throughout her career for being "too ugly for K-Pop". It's not about where you get your validation from, it's about succeeding when you don't fit the norm. Having said that, I wouldn't have noticed any of this without your as usual awesome breakdown. All I see is pretty lights and pretty girls, including Soyeon.
Thanks for context
gidle is actually so brave for their mvs, they truly are a legit talented and artsy girl group
The point is she realized her looks doesn't matter, her confidence last night thinking she is a cool girl and sexy, even if others said in allergy that's not true, is what made SY a Queencard, even if she's thick or thin what you need is confidence so even others will look up to you since it's the hardest thing to achieve.
who is SY? are they soyeon?
@@SpookbinaSY = Soyeon
@@luluaddthelemon thanks
I love that (G)I-DLE took inspiration from Ariana Grande's MV "Side to Side" for the Bicycle part and Little Mix's MV "Black Magic" in 7:29 for their MV concept in Allergy. That's why one of their lyrics in Queencard is "looks so cute, looks so pretty like Ariana"
I don’t know why but this scene also gave me break up with your girlfriend vibes 11:11
That's so awesome..
Gotta love that
Ahhhhh Jordan, the teasers make the end of Queencard a little more clear, they’re all actually close friends, and all that ‘social media’ flashing at the end was from her real life friends.
This is a bit random, but I love how the mvs combined starts with Queencard, but ends with Allergy.
Queencard = confidence
Allergy = self consciousnesses
Even what the media portrays as “Queencards” have “Allergies” too.
Allergy = something people rarely have a specific one of and is scientifically just your body panicking at something that’s not a big deal
How did anyone not notice this?!
It’s supposed to be the other way round.
@@LovelyLara123 I mean that at the beginning of allergy, a short snippet of Queencard is played, and at the end of queencard, the background music of allergy is played.
@@panman4459Oh yeah that is true
love the deeper meaning type stuff thats like "just accept yourself" kinda deal but its a bit ironic conssidering how many kpop idols have got extensive plastic surgery
sure but you can’t just swath an entire nationality of people in one stroke. g idle does not represent every kpop idol and vice versa. they’ve been picked on for looks especially the leader to this day. so let them tell their story, bp twice etc couldn’t tell it, but they can.
3:17 okay so far no reactor has got what this scene is implying lol
Yuqi and Shuhua drag SY to sit with the kids because it's implied that he bra size is so small she needs to shop in the kids section.
As a 22 year old who's still being told to go check the kids section, I immediately understood 3:17
Why there isnt an S Class reaction ? Its so good , I thought Youd be one of the first ones to react to that
i think the end actually is so sweet, like we all know that having real interactions in the real world feels more authentic, but it's not like we can ignore the influence and incorporation of the digital world - especially social media. i think the point here is how people use social media in the end to support and empower each other, since sometimes it gets overwhelming and discouraging with all the hate and negativity we see and experience online.
also, franklin is soooo cute!!!
I think the validation from social media was supposed to represent that once you decide to love yourself as you are, then other people will too 💞
Jorndan you're gonna FREAK at Stray Kids new music video!!!
JORDAN PLS MAKE A VIDEO ABOUT S-CLASS, THE TRANSITIONS ARE CRAZY
G-Idle is the going to become one of the best groups internationally.. I can just see it. All of these innermost ideas are just so damn relatable.
They also used their actual Instagram handles for Allergy which I think is sooo cool
DUDE YOU GOTTA SEE S CLASS PLEASE PLEASE ITS GONNA BE LIKE GODS MENU ALL OVER AGAIN 20X MORE
i think in allergy it was about soyeon wanting to be the it girl like minnie, but in queencard it’s revealed that she’s already receiving a lot of likes, just like minnie. i feel like it’s trying to show that even when we seem to have what we want or what others want, we will always still think someone else has it better.
also the way the people are walking around her even while she’s receiving lots of likes shows how superficial likes are- they don’t reflect what your real life is like
At the end Queencard, Soyeon snapped shut her cell phone, cutting off all of the social media praise for her, which clearly indicates to me that she did indeed have the epiphany that the shallow validation of others is not what she truly needs to be the best and happiest version of herself.
TIME FOR S CLASS, OTHER REVIEWERS MENTION YOU A LOT DUDE, WE ALL WAITTING HERE 🎉
I love how (G)Idle tells everyone to just be themselves and to not worry about what others think.
Thank you Jordan for doing a video on them!
can’t complain about idols being sexualized when u think they’re dating just bc they breathe near each other
@@padlily2485nobody said they were dating irl lmao, but in the mv it looked like they were really close. being happy for lgbt representation isn’t sexualisation, you’re just showing how homophobic you are lol
i love how the story loops - the end of queencard could also be seen as the start of allergy and i just love that
In Queencard, everybody is Soyeon because Soyeon is imaginating who she will be after the surgery, and at the last parts she notices that she is perfect as the way she is💗💗✨✨( if you didn't understand Queencard)
I think the end actually shows that all these girls that she wanted to be, like her for who she is
Hello Jordan,
I am not a video editor nor do I work in the music world. I am a fan of KPOP for the music but also for their visual world. So, I love watching your videos explaining the realization of all these good clips. It's really great to share your experience through funny videos. So thank you very much for your work!
the roles in allergy-
soyeon-a normal teenage girl who doesn’t like her body
minyeon-obsessed with minnie
minnie-is so popular she doesn’t have real friends
shuhua-teaching people to be happy
yuqi-with shuhua but relates to soyeon
Can't wait to the SkZ S Class reaction!
Jordan you NEED to watch S-Class by Stray Kidz, your mind will be blown out of this world!
Jordan you gotta make one on S class by Stray Kids ✨
The transitions are absolutely insane and they put so much effort into the mv
You just gotta !!
one thing viewers gotta acknowledge that Jordan can always (or be humble, almost) correctly read the meanings of all Kpop MVs he's reacted to. almost no miss and that's his thing not too many other Kpop MV reactors are capable to so.
I think so….
the last part actually shows that she did went to the party hence the photo but as herself before the day of the surgery. soyeon was imagining herself as confident as minnie. then in the surgery she had that realization where she cud just be herself, be confident and she's already beautiful.
Where are you man we missed you hit us with a stray kids reaction video they have just released a new song
You should watch s class by stray kids. They have lots of cool edits
S-class stray kids , the transitions and editing are INSAAAANE
this music video actually has a personal meaning for soyeon. back when she was on produce 101, people criticized her for not being pretty enough to be an idol. she was literally referred to as ugly and disappointment. but she proved her skills and ended up becoming beloved by so many fans. the storyline of her being worried about looks and people thinking she isn’t pretty actually comes from her own past.
17:37 awweeee that so cute bring Franklin for dance therapy more often
(G) I-dle never dissapointed! The best, wonderful girls!!
Love idle so much, especially soyeon. Shes so smart.
It’s more about she posted the picture without caring what people will think because she was always watching her friends post and wanting to be them but feeling like she wouldn’t be good enough. When she chose to just feel confident realising others can feel the confidence too but she didn’t need it as she was on her own by posting regardless of outcome
SKZ 5 STAR WILL HAVE YOUR MIND BLOWN INTO AESPA BALLS
I love your videos! The only reason I'm able to watch this on time is cause I stayed up all night❤
Great analysis. (G)-IDLE is pretty versatile as a group.
i think allergy is about how not everything is how it seems and nobody is perfect and everyone has something they long for or that they are jealous of, and queencard is about how it doesnt matter how u behave or look just be urself and youll learn to love urself. i think thats why the two mvs were connected like a to be continued. there were so much little easter eggs in both mvs and deep meanings in each individual screen its honestly crazy 😭
I love how you spread the Gospel brother! With love and kindness, plus how you leverage the gifts he gave you for the kingdom. Go well and God bless.
best put, the song queencard with doctors dancing, miyeon in doctor's robs at the end... they are poking fun with exaggerated style and lyrics. i love how in the end it goes "i feel you" instead of "you should be you".
9:47 lol
I liked when Queen Card started and how you said it gave us her point of view with how blurry it looked and with that blink and all. Well I wanted to add that I liked how they even had the doctors and nurses smiling at her and talking as she was coming out too.
Ngl, when I first heard this song, it sounded like she was saying green card.
I agree with you about the video though 👏🏼

Jordan stray kids new album 5 star is out could you do a video on s-class the first mv to break it down? I love your videos and you explain the themes so well.
We grateful have a good EditoReactor like you Jordan Orme! Much Knowledge we gained
In Allergy Soyeon gets wrapped up in the fact that she isnt pretty and needs a plastic surgery to be loved. She overcomes this insecurity in Queencard.Even Miyeon faces similar issues with Minnie but they reunite in Queencard.
At one point the lyrics says
"Wearing whatever girl Queen card
Thin or thick girl queen card
Full of confidence girl Queen card"
I love these lyrics because they show how Soyeon ended up loving herself, and that all it took was self-acceptance because she was the one telling herself that (because she was dreaming). I think this is also part of why she "woke herself up", almost as if she was waking up from the idea that she isn't good enough. The likes and follows at the end also show that if you want others to accept you, you first have to love yourself, and unlike most scenes in the MV, checking social media seemed like a second thought, whereas the first was just going outside and enjoying herself
Damn I feel like I just wrote a whole novel
IM WAITING FOR STRAY KIDS S-CLASS WE BEG YOU !!! ILY AND UR VIDSSSSS

Stray kids - S-class just dropped. You’re gonna go insane Jordan. I thought their transitions peaked last mv’s but boy was I wrong. The song and mv are all over the place. My brain was lagging at some point. You’re gonna love reacting at this!
they song never disappointed us
YESSS THANK YOU FOR REACTING TO THIS!! UR VIDEOS ALWAYS MAKE MY DAY THANKS MAN ❤️❤️
i love how you make your videos, thank you for give us so much joy while we are watching you. hugs from brazil.
Ok for how good this is I CANT HATE IT
Soyeon was sitting with kids because she fits kids sizes according to the mv
3:18 i think the reason they had a phone is to show that kids can affected by social media at a very young age. (feel free to correct me if im wrong)
JORDAAAAAAN S-CLASS MV PLEAAAASE OH MY PLEASE
I like that they added the kids using the phones. They are making the point that kids are now acting like they are older since that is all they see online instead of just being kids and playing with their friends and hanging out.

Wainting S-Class by Stray Kids, please.
She was happy dancing and being herself at the end of allergy and the fact that the paper plane didn't reach her just shows that she was already happy and didn't need the chirurgy and all
OMG FRANKLIN IS SO CUTE. FOR THAT REASON I'LL GIVE YOU ONE LIKE
(G)-idle is probably one of my favorite kpop groups cause they deliver such deep messages in some great songs
Hey Jordan!
this MV is amazing and are quite a few aways to interpret it:
(of course there are more things to look at both MVs besides what I list below):
1 - Queencard/Queenbee is a mentality whose pillars are self esteem and confidence.
3 - Bring both MVs together we basically see the old saying that "the grass is greener on the other side" so we have Soyeon trying to be Minnie because she is pretty/sexy/hot, while Minnie wants to be Soyeon cause she is really cool, and we have Miyeon who wants to be sexy like Minnie and pretty/cool like Soyeon ('cause in Queencard and Allergy MVs shows that her ex have interest both in Minnie and Soyeon at the parties - notice that in queencard Minnie represents Soyeon.)
4 - In Bambam's show Minnie said "I'm the trainer" (in Quuencard). So she basically the sexy/hot famous trainer who is Soyeon/Miyeon's Muse. But she is not happy with her life (as we see in Allergy)
5 - On the side we have Yuqi/Shua like Miyeon's minnions and once they saw Soyeon they want to be more like her instead be like Miyeon.
Allergy is the backstory of queencard
Jordan see the song S- Class by StrayKids it will blow your mind it is amazing
