Those living in fear, worried, troubled, carrying a heavy load on a rocky bumpy road in the driving rains, hunger in your belly and no money in your pocket and with very little hope, listing to the very wise words of the master Phil Lynott and Thin Lizzy, those words will put power in your body, change your mind and ways of thinking and things will get far, far better soon, the sun will shine again, you will smile again, you will relax and tell your great jokes, believe in this and it will come true, Phil said so and he meant every single word
Phil was more than a brilliant songwriter and musician he was a bit of a prophet. He warned us of the coming invasion from China and was concerned about this!
I can safely argue that I was born in the wrong time, wrong place, to the wrong people! I'm willing to give it all to go back in time for one true Thin Lizzy performance!! This is so frustrating, but I'm ever thankful to UA-cam and the person who uploaded this. I've watched this over 20 times today, and I'm not drunk, I just envy whoever was able to attend see these guys live back in the day! R.I.P Phill!
Chinatown is my favorite Thin Lizzy album. I was about 13 when the album was released and I had not heard any other Thin Lizzy before hearing this album. The guitar work is amazing. I appreciate whoever put this together, however, this is not live. That is the track straight off the album with some applause dubbed in. I'd love to hear anything off this album live, especially with the band line-up from the album, but I've never been able to find anything. Maybe someday some lost recordings will make their way to UA-cam. It's highly possible. For the longest time I wanted to hear Rush do the "Hemispheres" album live, not just "The Trees" and "La Villa Strangiato", and sure enough, severl years back, recordings started popping up. I'm very hopeful.
My favourite Rock band ever! Its magic lies on the simplicity and the quality of chords and melodies...Altough their amazing solos and the amazing drummer!
Most underrated R&R band in history. Saw them in Dallas first time in 1978. Great live band. One of best song writers ever with Phil. Will always be one of my favorites.
Saw them in Nassau Coliseum opening for Queen...my big brother brought home 4 records that year.. Live and Dangerous, Powerage, Yesterday and Today, Strangers in the night....i was hooked
oh wow, this is so rare...thank u! phil, the coolest black irish dude to ever grace this planet earth...this is another lizzy classic i absolutely love still in the 21st century...once a thin lizzy fan (with phil), always a lizzy fan! R.I.P. phil....
Fantastic!!! This is the only video I have found of this song when they play it on stage. For me it always has been one of the very best Thin Lizzy songs (and extremely overlooked).
This is incredible . Thank you for sharing . Thin Lizzy you're great, and Philip's voice l just love . It's great loss that he left so quickly . Let God take care of him . We miss you Phil. 🤘🎶🎸
Saw Thin Lizzy after 'Black Rose' (Gary Moore), after 'Solo in Soho' (Snowy White) and on the Farewell Tour (John Sykes). What a live band. And wow, I never 'saw' 'We Will Be Strong' live .... thanks for sharing
one of my best song (even i love all lizzy's songs).little french i was not 16years old in 80's and falled in love on "didn't i".she left me at the end of the summer...if i remember well the clip was fillmed in Paris ( le palace) where they recorded"Black rose"'(the best)one year before with Gary(RIP)simply the best(sadly)i remember they played"chinatown"in playback too.it was the fisrt time i saw them on t.v. 32years ago.all my youth..

About two years ago, there was a better live version of this song on You tube.I believe it was first time live performance of this song.Video was sort of black and white but much better quality picture and sound.I enjoyed that video at list once or twice every week, than just one day it disappeared. This is my favored Thin Lizzy song and I hope somebody will post that video again.
Yeah, very poignant considerin what was to come. You can see that theres somethin up in this vid. Joo know tho, I never saw it comin, he was in great shape on stage, every performance bang on. Scott later said later of the last concert that they were in so much pain that he was cryin doin some of the solos. Thanx for postin the track.
skipped a beat at the end. great lead by mr white who is often put down as not the right fit. not in image but for sure in what mattered the music is was great.

Any info on what TV show this was recorded from?
They played it extremely close to the record
What bass is he using is that his Ibanez ?
i also forget :the "guitars ballad"is a little shorter at the end.i don't know why they cut a little part.normally she's the same as at the begining
nice

Is there full show?
Fuck yea Thin Fucking Lizzy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
i just forget : they played "playback"
Where was this filmed, what show and when in 1981?
a paris théâtre le palace en 1981/1982
filmé au théâtre le palace....en play back!!! malheureusement...
Sounds like the studio version from Chinatown
It is.
It`s really a pity to see this band do playback :S
Wish this was a live performance, and not lip-syncing a track
Damn playback! -.-"
