1) Declutter: love it or lose it 2) Bin it to Win it 3) Love to Label 4) Organizing from Top to Bottom 5) Have a system for your problem areas (where most of your decluttering is)
I love that! I think it would be much more effective for me than asking if it sparks joy or if I love it. Money has seemed like it has always been tight in my life so asking if I would buy it again I think will really work for me. We just moved and I was unloading a box of shoes. A couple pairs I bought because they were the right price and they fit. BUT I don't like them. That question will make it very clear to my frugal, pinch penny mind that I need to get rid of them. Thanks!
@@Whybegin I'll ask myself how many hours I would have to work to buy an item. Let's i would have to work 3 hours to buy it. Then I ask myself would i agree to not get paid for 3 hours and instead receive this item as compensation?
You're easily one of the best youtubers nowadays. You have original, creative, honest and genuine content. You're doing amazingly with everything on your plate and it's awesome to see you growing!! I'm not even a mom and I love Carter's Corner 👌🏽👌🏽
Literally binge watching your channel this next few weeks. We move from a small apartment ( with a lot of stuff ) to a house and I want to start it on the right foot.
Omg I love your channel! I’m a mother of 6 and you have taught me so much on how to keep my home in a more tidy organized way! Mind you with 6 kids I’m very organized but my linen closet, kid closets...etc I’m re doing them all because of your videos!!! 🙌🏾💕😘
I can’t get enough of your videos. I have implemented so many systems into my life since I started watching your videos. Thank you for being a wealth of knowledge!!!
The best thing about organization systems is the appearance of consistency among materials used to organize and store, such as the rattan baskets on shelves, glass jars, or whatever tool or tools is/are used to form similar aggregates. A coherent look really minimizes the look of disorganization or clutter. It's definitely worth saving over a period of time so that one can purchase all the necessary supplies to achieve that highly sought after "look" of thoughtful and skillful organization. Thanks for sharing this approach!
I freakin love Pinterest. I use it to decorate my imaginary house and apartment and to collect pictures of Faberge eggs which I'm slightly obsessed with
Please do this! The mail and clutter is out of control at my place but I don’t always like to have paperless statements because they often get overlooked.
I like this, it sounds simple and easy to use. I shall definitely try this out. And I love how Carter was throwing things out of the basket. Yeah go Carter
Love your channel Brittany, Everything You do I just about follow, and even though I don’t have little kiddos anymore, I’ve subscribed to Carters Corner, Just to see his adorable little face and how clever he is, You Are My Favourite UA-camr. Much Love from Nellie from Queensland Australia 🇦🇺💖💖💖💖🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗
Your organization videos are always the best! I love watching them all the time. And i dont know how, when i think that you already covered everything and every area you always come up with new and great ideas! Thank you so much for being
I still Love, love Pinterest!! I gather many deco ideas, & then become lost , sucked right into the twister of all the great ideas! I’m actually building a “ stepper” for my lazy Susan so I can see everything! Thank you again for sharing!
I know you say you have bad handwriting but that just always shocks me because you're so pristine and put together! I also totally use Pinterest on a weekly basis! Love you xo
I've got a decorator starting in the new year and I have major clearing out to do! Thanks for this video, I love the tiered can storage and tiered hanger. When we do the kitchen, we're planning on having shelves instead of wall units for the simple reason, that's where most food stuff goes and I like the idea of open space instead of wall cabinets 💕💕💕
I label everything too! It was especially helpful when I had cancer last year. I put a labels everywhere. I even had one on how to turn on the dishwasher; I put it inside where you can't see it so anyone could turn it on. I am extremely organized though. The organizing method I like the best was the one described by Julie Morganstern in her book. She was a professional organizer in the early days probably some twenty years ago. It was the SPACE acronym. S is sort by category, P is purge (toss, recycle), A is assign a home (decide where an item will live), C is containerize (measure and find the right size container) and E is equalize (put things away/maintain your system). My least favorite system is the KonMari method. I don't believe she is a good organizer although I know a lot of people like her.
Great video as always! I have a tip about keeping your bathroom sink always looking attractive- keep a towel under/near the sink so after using the sink you could just swipe off the water spots etc.
I love your videos. I recently started using the file folding method for my kids t-shirts and pajamas which always looked messy in the closet even when folded nicely. The kids can now choose their clothing on their own without messing up everything.
I've done the file folding method with my son's clothes and blankets since he was born. He is now 4 1/2 years old and it has been a life saver! We have extremely limited space and it has allowed for him to still have a lot of clothing that is stored efficiently and effectively (Dad can even find outfits!) Now that he is able to pick his own outfits for the day it has been even better!
I've been file folding my husband's shirts since the first time you showed it! I will never ever go back! I also applied it to my shorts drawer, my son's practice baseball clothes, and my sports bras! Once you get into the habit of doing it, it's like second nature. 👍
I'm thrilled about your 2nd channel, because I don't have kids and that content isn't relevant to me. But it's a natural progression for you, you're going to be awesome on that channel too, and I congratulate you on your new endeavor! And I can just watch every video on this channel and not have to weed out baby/children stuff, so convenient!
Thank you so much for introducing me to such a simple and logical method. I’ve loved your videos from the first one I saw- you have a great presence and you’re such a wonderful teacher. Bravo to you and a great channel. Love 💕
I love Pinterest, there is a lot of ideas to try, Brittany I have to admit that this method is amazing, thank you for showing it. I'm going to follow these steps now. It's so easy 💕Also love this channel so much and your family is so cute. You inspire me to be grateful and to share happiness all around me. Been here for a long time, Kisses and hugs to you, your husband and Carter from all time fan Anna from Europe, Poland 😘😍❤️💕💋🇵🇱🤗
OMG! I love all of the tips, but the one showing hamper holding purses is one I can do right now😀😀. And the command process is sooo needed in my house!!! Thank you😘😘😘
Hi Brittany. I really enjoyed the new video. By the way, what ever you are doing you are looking fantastic. Your makeup is beautiful especially the eyes. Carter is getting so big. He is always smiling and happy. I enjoy seeing him help mommy with her videos - just precious. Merry Christmas to your sweet family.
Cool hangers! Great ideas! Carter is so cute saying “love it or lose it”! I am on a mission to create a system! Thank you! I love your family and your videos! 👍❤️😊
I love the last point about the problem areas! As for Principle #4, though I strongly agree with the file folding method, I find it much easier to see what I have if the identifying print/logo is folded OUTWARD. For example, I have 4 black shirts that would look the same if I folded them like you did, but would have to look at each one and try to remember which ones I still have and which black shirts I've had in the past but ended up donating.
Folding our clothes in the file method was a game changer in our dressers. I have a lot of jeans. They didn’t fit in the drawers until I started folding them in the file method. And being able to see them all makes it so much easier to pull out the pair I want and then put them away.
Thanks for sharing! I really need to re-organize my food pantry. It’s just me and my hubby and it’s turning into a “food catch all” pantry, my hubby loves his cereal, so there’s a few boxes of his Wheatie’s, Special K, the two bottom shelf’s towards the back is full of paper goods for parties, shopping bags.. it’s just a mess. Your video motivates me to take charge of all that disorganized pantry, Thank you.. You look amazing! 😁❤️
You should be a motivational speaker as well, you communicate things like a true friend, and your voice is not like some youtubers who have a monotone voice, love Monday videos it keeps me motivated for the rest of the week
*I'll ALWAYS love Pinterest!! Idk how anyone couldn't honestly lol!! That's my go to for recipes, style ideas, decor, finding cool hacks.... basically everything really!*
Love these tips. If you hate your handwriting as I do my own and don't want to get a label maker Katherine from Do It On A Dime has a video where she made labels using packing tape and a laser jet printer. You can use any font you want. Would love if the two of you did a collaboration. Tyfs!
Hi Brittany I love your channel! Can you create organization videos for people with 9-5 office jobs? I know Ryan has one so maybe you can incorporate his tips too! Maybe some tips on cubicle organization, morning and night routines for the week, etc. Thank you! ❤️
I love, love your videos...I watch them everyday (sometimes I do repeats..lol) Thank you for sharing your time, tips and tribulations!...P.S. I am so excited and happy for you on your newest journey! May you be blessed with a happy healthy new wee one as happy and healthy as Carter! 😘
I use Pinterest!! I think I am already following you on there. I truly do that in my everyday life 😂 I do this with mail, and books too. I enjoy your videos😉💋
Congrats on your new video channel. Like I have expressed before I am always learning new valuable information from you. I love Pinterest! But, never searched for the organization selections. I will now! Thank you ! Please keep up the great work! I so have enjoyed all of your videos! Merry Christmas!
I use white wood shoe organizers for my cans. they fit the normal size cans and allow me two or three levels for cans. I have a bigger family and it allows me to stock up on a lot of canned foods 4-5 cans deep each row.
You are honest to god my favorite UA-camr. I’ve been watching you FOREVER. I am so excited to try the NEAT method, thank you for the video. There’s so much hate on social media so I’ve never wanted to say this, but I just want to tell you the word is pronounced eSpecially, not eXpecially. Not trying to give any hate whatsoever. It just bugs me every time. Hopefully you don’t take that the wrong way. Seriously love you. Keep up the amazing videos as always. ❤️
1. I LOVE the “filing method” for shirts, shorts, pj’s, workout clothes, HOWEVER, if you fold the tee’s with the picture out, you can easily tell which exact tee you are looking at when folded.
You should do a video on time saving multitasking hacks or tips. For example I watch your videos while I'm washing the dishes so anything in the area of cooking cleaning, etc I'm a mom I work full time and I go to school full time so any time I can save is more time with my daughter. You always seem to have really neat ideas so I was curious to see what you could come up with
I love Pinterest! Use it all the time and I just started a new board to help my sister who just opened a massage therapy shop. You know design ideas and possible DIY ideas.
Omg you keep me so organized and I just love it. Thank you for the amazing videos I enjoy learning new things. Thanks for sharing your tips are the best. 🎄🎄🎄🎄
You look gorgeous in this video! Your command center is so cute and I love the leggings hanger! Mine are folded file system, along with anything else folded! I found the folding method on UA-cam videos in early college - I think it was before KonMari but the way I fold my t-shirts was from a video talking about "the Japanese folding system" and they may be related? We do the tier system, too, with pantry items! Labeling toys so husbands (and anyone!) can put them away! I bet Carter will be reading the labels himself in 2 weeks time ❤️!
I still use Pinterest for DIY holiday décor/crafts for my kiddos. Loved the video. I don't have anything really folded in my home(excluding towels and sheets/blankets) not even baby stuff. It all goes on a hanger. If its shorts or jeans, I took an idea that my old job at Dillard's(kinda like a Macys) and that is to use s-hooks and loop it on one of the belt loops! Undies and nighties are in bins on the above shelf. Its less of a hassle I think and It keeps the stuff organized. I finally got the hubby to start putting recently used cloths at the back of the closet to weed-out the unused clothing.
hello helper in my home EVERY DAY! in some way or the other. THANKS. my kitchen and bathroom are always SPOTLESS now (even if we have to go to bed later to get it all done each day!) .. makes every single morning SHINY AND BRIGHT!
1) Declutter: love it or lose it
2) Bin it to Win it
3) Love to Label
4) Organizing from Top to Bottom
5) Have a system for your problem areas (where most of your decluttering is)
I always ask myself, “would I rebuy this?” when decluttering 👍🏽
That's a good tip! When I'm shopping I also think "would I buy this even if t wasn't on sale?" And most the time it's a no
I love that! I think it would be much more effective for me than asking if it sparks joy or if I love it. Money has seemed like it has always been tight in my life so asking if I would buy it again I think will really work for me. We just moved and I was unloading a box of shoes. Cassandra Dabling she is totally the queen! I love her (:

Dom Mcinnis we’re about to do the same in a couple weeks! Congrats to you all, must be so great! 😊🙏🏽
Me too!! How’s it going for you so far?
Omg I love your channel! I’m a mother of 6 and you have taught me so much on how to keep my home in a more tidy organized way! Mind you with 6 kids I’m very organized but my linen closet, kid closets...etc I’m re doing them all because of your videos!!! 🙌🏾💕😘

You're right... From what you're saying it seems like the neat method is based on the Kon-Mari method... It just seems more streamlined or simplified.
it's like konmari with catch phrases haha
I freakin love Pinterest. I use it to decorate my imaginary house and apartment and to collect pictures of Faberge eggs which I'm slightly obsessed with
Ishrat Niyaz exactly. And you never know when those dreams could come true so might as well have the “plan” in place 😊
I've planned my entire life on Pinterest. Now I just need to be able to afford it all, and the time to do it all!
I love Pinterest I use it daily! I loved loved loved this video great tips!

I always have my vision boards on there
Pinterest sucks you in. You look for one thing and 30 minutes later your planning how to remodel your home lol!!!

Don’t forget creating your very own Wedding dress wall for whenever
So true : )
YES! so true haha
Ann H I agree, all of a sudden you’re either a designer or chef! 🤣
I have been following neat method instagram page for a while but never checked their website. Thanks for explaining their organization method ❤️✨
You should do something about organizing mail/ papers because thats a main problem area in my house!

If you put your shirts face down to start with, you can fold them the same way but the design would be visible.
bubblebuffy that’s what i was thinking!!!!

I love your organization videos! Oh and I love your new channel. I see it being very helpful in helping teach my 15 month old granddaughter.
