If investors leave game dev, I don't really see it making more/better games anymore frequent. Like if investor loses 20 million on a game so crappy, you refunded right away, I don't see how gamers lose in that scenario.
I also think that aaa devs also need to take bit of responsibility for crappy games. Like if you spend 200 million dollars on a game that's basically turd in a box, I don't think it's because investors assumed the role of creative director.
