- Flight from SAEZ/EZE (Ezeiza Airport) to SAWH/USH (Ushuaia Malvinas Argentinas Airport) onboard the Airbus A330-200 LV-FNK from Aerolineas Argentinas.
For those who dont understand some of the information that I added to the video, I prepared a small glossary:
A/C Packs: it refers to the air conditioning system. In order to start the engines, the A/C system needs to be turned off to give the airplane the energy it needs to do so.
Flaps: flaps are deployed during takeoff and landing, you can see them in the wings. They are used to increase the surface of the wing in order to increase the lift they produce, this makes the airplane more maneuverable during takeoff and landing and allows it to fly slower.
METAR: it's an acronym for Meterological Aerodrome Report. It is used in aviation to know about the weather conditions at an airport at a given actual time. It is codified but it is easy to read if you know how to do so.
RWY: it's an acronym for runway.

Hi! Yep, the ushuaia approach is famous for the intense crosswind and gusting after flying over the Andes range!
When we were leaving back to Buenos Aires at the airport our bags almost got blown away when getting off the taxi ;)

Los pilotos llamando a la tripulación de cabina o algún pasajero presionó el botón para llamar a la tripulación. Es el que se encuentra al lado de la salida del aire acondicionado. Saludos!
Crossing the *Andes*??? Why did it fly so far west? The route should be a short while over the plains of Buenos Aires province, then a couple of hours over the ocean far from the coast (and even farther from the Andes) until reaching Tierra del Fuego island.
The mountains that are next to Ushuaia are part of the Andes range, the last continental part of it. That makes Ushuaia the only argentine city that is located on the other side of the Andes! :)
Well, since Tierra del Fuego is an island, it can't be the last "continental" part of it. And if you define "the other side of the Andes" as the other side of the river divide (i.e., rivers draining to Chile and the Pacific), there are a few Argentine cities that meet that definition, Esquel in Chubut province being one of them.

por que usar un avión tan grande para una ruta tan corta?
A veces se hace eso, quizás por necesidad de transportar más personas. He viajado en un A340-300 de Madrid a Londres (menos de la mitad de duración de este vuelo).
Nicolas Vinolo el vuelo es de 3hs y media, sale de ezeiza donde ay aviones grandes
Pero Nicolás, porque en un avion mas chico no entra la gente que entra en uno grande, es una respuesta obvia y tonta. En Europa hay aerolineas que en vuelos de dos horas usan A330, A340 y A350, lo puedes ver acá en UA-cam.
Actualmente Iberia tiene vuelos semanales Madrid Londres que usa el A340-600 y dura menos de dos horas el vuelo.
