    This is a great review especially regarding calibrating the input voltage. After watching a guy do a review on a T80P, with the iron on and pushing the tip in, you have restored my faith.

    Thank you so much for this concise explanation. I would not have had a clue without it. As noted by someone else, the time delay on mine is in minutes. 1 to 10 minutes, or zero on "000"

    Thank you for your explanation of that time delay function. The documentation found on AliExpress and elsewhere online is severely lacking. The operation of that feature was almost impossible to find using trial-and-error.
    On my version the value is in minutes (000-100) where 000 is (almost) no delay, 001 is one minute delay , 002 is two minutes. Thank you once more!

    Someone else commented on another video, to tie the output + to the input + with a momentary button. This latches the unit on, but when the power drops below minimum, the whole unit turns off. Avoids the slight 60mah draw this unit makes.

    I too appreciate your instructive video. Getting a manual for this device is hopeless without your help. Chinese English is not anyone's specialty.
    I am left with one question though, is there a way to turn the display off so you don't use precious energy in standby mode?
    I found one that is preset to cut off at 10VDC and back on at 10.7VDC, it has no display or setting switches, just 2 wires in from power source and 2 wires out to the load. (10 AMPS)
    Part info= CZH-LABS Electronics-Salon Low Voltage Disconnect Module. It's bit expensive though $15

    • @my_channel_44
      @my_channel_44 Рік тому

      Yes. Set the delay to zero. Wire your power (-) neg to the IN, but wire the power (+) to the OUT. Use a momentary push-button switch to connect the (+) IN to the (+) OUT.
      Press the momentary switch and the unit will turn on, and the relay will latch. When voltage input drops below the threshold, the entire unit will turn off completely.
      Someone came up with this solution in the comments section of another video on this board.

    it is not XH-m609 as described in title but HCW-M635. they look the same with one slight difference: XH-M609 does not have the calibration feature, like the model from this clip (verified on mine XH m609)

    • @deansatchell5481
      @deansatchell5481  2 роки тому +1

      Would be good if anybody else could verify this as my understanding is these are the same modules. Indeed the module is often sold as XH-M609/HCW-M635. I have bought this module from multiple sources as XH-M609 and they all have the same calibration feature.

      Yeah thanks for this - thought I was going a bit nuts trying to long press to calibrate, luckily mine didn't seem to need any calibration - I can live with .1 of a volt, which is about the normal variance of all different multimeters anways.

  • @Lafortune89

    Ok the title of the video is missleading. The XH-M609 does not have the function to calibrate the unit.The + button only ajust the low voltage cutoff. It makes the full screen flash and you ajust the voltage to what you need. It can't make only the "doth" flash to ajust the voltage like the one in this video.

    • @theshindogg
      @theshindogg 2 роки тому

      Yeah, agree. I also have the HX-M609 and it behaves differently than in the video. (same as others here in the comments). Reccomend to take that out of the title. Otherwise, thank you for the video- helpful. I wound up through trial and error figuring out the M609.

    • @tgg86
      @tgg86 Рік тому

      nope, you're wrong dude. i have this module and it has exactly same 4 settings as mentioned in this video. i connected an adjustable power supply to input and set it to 9v, this module showed then 9v too. but when i long press + button and set it to 12v for example, this module assumed the input is 12v and when i increase the input voltage to 12v by my power supply, the input voltage increased simultaneously to 15v. this "calibrate" setting can be used to be sure that module is showing the correct voltage compared to a reliable voltmeter.
