It's so sad that he has stomach cancer. I pray for him every night that God will put his healing hands upon his body. At the last country awards show I barely recognized him. He said I bet you guys never thought that you would ever see me in skinny jeans. He is an outstanding singer and actor. When my mother was still here she would say that they are getting cancer because of the lights and I'm beginning to believe her. All of that whiskey sure didn't help any but he is still number one in my book.
Just moved to Oklahoma after living in Pennsylvania for 42 years. Been here almost 11 months now. Always loved Toby’s music and He sure is a legend around these parts . I had met a friend who knew him and we were planning on a road trip to go see him in his hometown not too far from where I am living now. I am a singer myself looking to make myself heard someday soon . This is the State to be in for the Arts and Music. Huge out here. I remember hearing the original by James Taylor and Carly Simon who at the time was his wife. I also remember it from the movie “ National Lampoon’s Vacation” 😅😂 However in all seriousness ,We have lost an amazing artist who was not just a music icon but a humanitarian as well .He was in full support of our US Military, He started a cancer foundation having battled it himself later on in the last couple years. He had an amazing sense of humor as well as having my all time favorite artist Willie Nelson ( Who I’ve met) as a close friend. He was a huge OU Sooner Fan , also having played football In Oklahoma when he was younger. I wish that opportunity could have happened, I would have treated him with total respect and not over star struck . I know some people that just happen to know others because of my passion for music. I’ve met my share of some. What I would have done was reach my hand out with a firm hand shake and thank him for what he has done. We will truly miss you. 78 year old Vietnam vet, picked up a little bug while in country called agent orange that paid me a visit a couple of years ago the old man was knocking on my door but thanks to God and a Johns Hopkins heart surgeon that got up from his dinner table Iwe kept the old man out ! That was amazing💥 Toby did an interview recently saying that his daughter crystal is a mother of three and she is busy raising her three children so I don't think that we will be seeing her singing anytime in the near future unless she does something in a tribute to her father since she is probably 35 now God loves Toby💘🙏

Toby Keith is proof that only the good die young. Aside from losing my own dad to cancer on 10/30/2005 at the age of 77, this is the saddest and most tragic thing to happen in my lifetime. Cancer literally sucks the life out of its victims and leaves nothing besides skin and bones behind. Like Toby my dad kept his sense of humor, wit and empathy for others until his last breath. He was an in-home Hospice patient, and I was his caregiver. He told everyone who came to see him in his last 5 months to not be sad. He'd tell them that we all have to die but at least he had a timeframe. One of the saddest things I saw during my dad's viewing was the police officer, a friend and frequent visitor, standing there with tears rolling down his cheeks. Yes. CANCER SUCKS!!

It's so sad that he has stomach cancer. I pray for him every night that God will put his healing hands upon his body. At the last country awards show I barely recognized him. He said I bet you guys never thought that you would ever see me in skinny jeans. He is an outstanding singer and actor. When my mother was still here she would say that they are getting cancer because of the lights and I'm beginning to believe her. All of that whiskey sure didn't help any but he is still number one in my book.

Just moved to Oklahoma after living in Pennsylvania for 42 years. Been here almost 11 months now. Always loved Toby’s music and He sure is a legend around these parts . I had met a friend who knew him and we were planning on a road trip to go see him in his hometown not too far from where I am living now. I am a singer myself looking to make myself heard someday soon . This is the State to be in for the Arts and Music. Huge out here. I remember hearing the original by James Taylor and Carly Simon who at the time was his wife. I also remember it from the movie “ National Lampoon’s Vacation” 😅😂 However in all seriousness ,We have lost an amazing artist who was not just a music icon but a humanitarian as well .He was in full support of our US Military, He started a cancer foundation having battled it himself later on in the last couple years. He had an amazing sense of humor as well as having my all time favorite artist Willie Nelson ( Who I’ve met) as a close friend. He was a huge OU Sooner Fan , also having played football In Oklahoma when he was younger. I wish that opportunity could have happened, I would have treated him with total respect and not over star struck . I know some people that just happen to know others because of my passion for music. I’ve met my share of some. What I would have done was reach my hand out with a firm hand shake and thank him for what he has done. We will truly miss you. I’ll see on the other side Brother when it’s my time to cross over. God Bless you may you Rest in Peace

78 year old Vietnam vet, picked up a little bug while in country called agent orange that paid me a visit a couple of years ago the old man was knocking on my door but thanks to God and a Johns Hopkins heart surgeon that got up from his dinner table Iwe kept the old man out ! Toby Keith is proof that only the good die young. Aside from losing my own dad to cancer on 10/30/2005 at the age of 77, this is the saddest and most tragic thing to happen in my lifetime. Cancer literally sucks the life out of its victims and leaves nothing besides skin and bones behind. Like Toby my dad kept his sense of humor, wit and empathy for others until his last breath. He was an in-home Hospice patient, and I was his caregiver. He told everyone who came to see him in his last 5 months to not be sad. He'd tell them that we all have to die but at least he had a timeframe. One of the saddest things I saw during my dad's viewing was the police officer, a friend and frequent visitor, standing there with tears rolling down his cheeks. Yes. CANCER SUCKS!!
