I saw this on one of the "Playing more souls likes youve never heard about" videos, honestly im surprised they actually finished it, but good for them. I will probably play the game myself soon cause its on gamepass and actually looks fun and creative.
I have always wanted to try out a souls game, but the atmospheres of those games are generally, well, dark. (Which is something I myself am not a huge fan off) And in general soul games are really difficult. Now, I can take some challange, but the games are so dark, grimmy, and overwhelmingly that I always turned it down. But this crab game really does feel like a breath of fresh air. I am of the opinion that this game also invites people like me to try out a souls-like game. People that have been wanting to try a souls-like but either didn't like the dark atmosphere or the lack of assist options. (Yes I have skill issue. I am not a pro gamer haha) Praise to the devs who made this incredibly funny crab game! And also respect that they (unlike some others) continue to fix the bugs after release! (And thank u Htwo for talking about the game ^^)
Yeah i think a bit of a similar "soulslike" (if you can call it that) that gets the game play pretty different to the from soft games is Grime. The athmosphere and artstyle is kinda dark and stuff in that way similar to those games but its still unique from them. Id like to say that the build variety in grime isnt that big To be fair idk if metroidvanias can be called soulslike, like for some reason Hollow knight has that tag???
6:50 darksouls has an easy mode, it's called: playing with the online ON, other players will leave messages and the thing is so ridiculous when I got to the crystal caves the invisible parts were all property marked
I didn't know you could disarm the Eel. I never had issues with her weapons, most of them you just stand on the opposite side of her and she can't hit you. Also on my 2nd playthrough I found a stowaway that makes you immune to electricity that makes her fight a literal joke, her hairdryer can't damage you, she can't even hurt you when swimming between the walls. My hardest boss is the Consortium, the trap cage full of creatures. No matter how much health you have it has a few one hit KOs and the way you have to move around it makes it a challenge no matter what. That also made it the most fun boss to fight as early as possible on the 2nd playthrough, I found ways to get up on that ledge early for that exact reason and beelined the game just to fight it.
This game was to initiate children to Dark Souls games and maybe to have a not so gritty take on them. Sekiro aside, soulslike at my mind right now where platform is present are Hellpoint and Enotria. Pruld, working as cutscene animator for Enotria as of late, really liked the game, "even though described 'terrible' the state the game came out in"(little inside joke in his livestreams).
I believe that all games should be like Terraria, with their difficulty settings. have an easy mode that is still somewhat hard to play when your first few times playing it with the enemy's move set lower to only have basic attacks and a normal mode where the enemy's have all their attacks available for experienced players or players that just want to play the game how the game was meant to be played and get exclusive drops for beating bosses at that difficulty, and then an even harder mode for the pros that just want to flex on everyone where the enemy's deal 1.5 to 2x damage and has a more advanced move set and they drop stronger loot. The reason why I think having more people play the game is better is that FromSoftware is a well-liked game development company that, from what I know, has screwed over its users, so I would love for them to get more money to use for better games.
7:02 well, there's this Kubrick emulous that made cartoons 'til some years ago. For all I care, not even Stanley himself could do the same as him, but taken the skill away i wish very Aladeen things to this cartoonist. And lets just say that his vision is not one I like, and that am not willing to be worked by any "MeSa LoStA sIgHt Of MiNe ChArAcCt'S gOaLa" excuse, that became a franchise made out of excuses. Il'll gouge out both my eyes with my own hands rather than watching 3+1.

I'm willing to bet that this game started as, "You know what would be funny?"
You would be right, and it worked out great. It's such a good game 😂
I think the ability to adjust difficulty was amazingly well done in this game. And giving krill a gun is absolutely hilarious.
i got this game and oh my god i fell in love with it
might be one of the best indie games for 2024 atm for me
Same, amazing game. :)
saw a few people playing this game, glad to see it's getting the popularity it deserves
Every single video game legally speaking MUST have a grappling hook. If it doesn’t it’s not really a game
Just like a fishing minigame, no game is complete without one of those either
@@Bupboy you can be a game without a fishing mini game just not a good one

I DONT CARE how easy the game is
