DENTAL CASE #8 | DIASTEMA CLOSURE WITH DIRECT COMPOSITE

In this video I would like to show you a case where I closed multiple diastema with direct composite. This patient wasn't satisfied with the esthetics of his smile and in this case orthodontics wouldn't have resolved his esthetic issues. With direct composite I closed the gaps between the teeth to create a harmonious and esthetic pleasing result.
In this cased I uses the following products

- BlueView Varistrip - Garrison Dental
- Optibond FL - Kerr
- Majesty ES Flow A2 - Kuraray

Mooie case Maarten. Wat is dat voor 'meter' die je gebruikt om de mesiale-distale afstand te meten? En gebruik je altijd een flowable gecombineerd met composiet? Wat voor flowable is dit? Thanks alvast! Merry X-mas

Thanks, het is eigenlijk gewoon een schuifmaatje om te meten of de elementen even breed zijn. Yes, ik wil graag dat ik in de diepte geen luchtbellen heb en dat alles goed aansluit. Ik doe dus eigenlijk een soort injection moulding / sneeuwploeg techniek hier. Fijne feestdagen!

Is this under microscope? Or loupes with camera?

Microscope, I find that a camera on your loupe isn’t that stable since you have your own movements and those of the patient.

Great case and result . Two questions Did you inject the patient buccal + palatal infil for the case ? Also what is the speed of your slow speed in this video while using the discs specially interdentally? Seem slower than 5000 RPM

Thank you! Did you mean inject with anesthesia or with composite? I usually tend to use the discs around 8.000 rpm, otherwise they are going too slow and won’t grind anything imo

Anesthesia ? Buccal + palatal for the floss tie ? Buccal only ? Or nothing at all ?

@@doctorchawla I can’t really remember if I used any infiltration anesthetics. But I use a topical anesthetic called Oraqix during every case. This really helps with the floss ties
