Love this review! So I ended up getting one, this is my first DEB and was wondering the bulge from the bladder normal? (Where you insert needled to inflate) I tried comparing to the one in the video but it's hard to see if yours has it too

How do you like using the adjustable rope for the bottom half of your double end bag setup? I use a bungee cord top and bottom but was thinking of using that setup your using. I’m thinking if you throw uppercuts it will lift up the bottom weighted mounting point. Of course if it bolted down it’s not an issue. Btw I hope you give your gloves and good review.lol

I'm buying this DEB now! Question: I have the ringside DEB and I'm using the Bungie that came with it. I'm also (because of you) getting the xrt tie down. Do you ever work the double end bag with lighter (than 16 oz) gloves? I hit mine with my 16s and sometimes bare knuckle. But 10-14 looks like it’d be fun on a double end. Do you have a lighter training glove you prefer?
Yeah I use all different sizes on double end bag, smaller gloves give you a better feeling of connecting
I added pro grip as recommended for bottom tie-down. Uppercuts don’t feel as satisfying now as bag doesn’t really rebound upwards upon contact. What do you think about adding a small length of elasticized paracord between the pro grip rope and the bag itself? Could use a blood or allbrite knot to secure the lines together. I am thinking this will increase feedback on that particular punch.
Yes, use a smaller bungee cord to give better rebound feel
Put the static cord on top and bungee below.

Recently purchased one this Double End Bag in Classic Red color...as Cleto Reyes Gloves with good leather and great craftsmanship but a big issue is that it sometimes leak air very seriously. Sometimes it would last for days after pumping but sometimes it just keep leaking air without stopping, and I also saw some of the buyers feedback this same issue on Amazon review. Anyone has same experience and any idea on how to fix it? Thx!

Hi Carlo! How do you rate Pro Mex v2 compared to the Reyes? It has a similar shape, albeit inverted and comes in smaller sizes too. It's for almost half the price, has bungee cords but doesn't come with a spare bladder. You weren't a fan of their gloves but do you think their ball is good value or it's better to save for the Reyes?

Carlo, I noticed that my Cleyto Reyes double end bag has a small “hernia” or bulge from the bladder right above the insert point for pumping air into it (valve). Is this to be expected or a defect?
That’s a defect in the bladder, I would replace it

Yes I have and it depends on if you need the extra shock protection? It also adds a lot of weight to the glove so keep that in mind

Practice
Breathing and being relaxed while finding your fighting rythym a good way to practice getting into rhythm is to "bounce" (not actually bounce but utise your footwork to float about) around with hands down back straight chin tucked eyes in front then as you get comfortable with floating (mix angle steps and pivots) bring your hands up with your elbows resting on your ribs lead hand lower than the rear not too high not too low and remember to breathe once you get the hang of that then start throwing straight punches (breathing again with each punch) all the while maintaining a vision of an opponent once you get that the speed will come (it's all in the technique) this bag help to accelerate your skills in countering and evasion but without rhythm you will get frustrated rather quick with any boxing tool in the gym that relates to speed. Less arm and more weight shifting utilising your hips and footwork while not losing form is the key to faster hands.

Thanks, yeah the reyes is definitely nicer quality and had a snappier rebound. Leaking depends on bladder but I haven’t had issues yet

Depends on the brand if it comes with an inflator but typically it doesn’t. I use rubber bungee cords from the hardware store
