  • How to install a professional double end bag for your gym or home. The following link is exactly how I installed my drop in concrete floor anchor but I used a red hat brand drop in anchor. Overall I spent about $20 for the rope, rubber bungees cords, carabiners, drop in anchor, anchor setting tool and the eye bolt. I bought the rubber bungees on sale for $10 through Ringside.com

    Just set mine up, ended up getting the same bag as yours and it came out amazing! I did use some paracord on the top rated for 750 lbs, but everything else followed exactly how you did it. Thanks again for the help. It ended up being the perfect tension for me as well.

    @tonydorsett33- You can find the spindles at most major hardware stores but I bought them at Lowes. These have a maximum capacity of 100 pounds but double-end bags don't have that much tension so they work fine. Thanks for you interest!

    • @TrustDog
      @TrustDog  6 років тому +1

      Mike Peifer Thanks for you support. His I used regular rope because I like the rebounding better but you can use bungees on both just know that with using bungees on both ends will make the bag bounce in all directions. 👍🏼

    • @mikepeifer6502
      @mikepeifer6502 6 років тому +1

      Trust Dog Boxing thanks for the reply man. I haven’t boxed in years so i think I’ll go with a regular rope on the top actually gonna go with some paracord that’s rated for like 750lbs so that should be good right? I’m gonna order the pro mex rapidos dos Ball it’s like 22” in length so do you think i should get like a 16” bungee for the bottom? Sorry for all the questions man, your literally the only good vid out on this. I appreciate the help! Subbed!

    • @TrustDog
      @TrustDog  6 років тому

      Mike Peifer You’re welcome. The bag on the Video is a teardrop bag, around the wide part of the bag measures approximately 6 to 7 inches, which is good for for all levels of skills including beginners. I think that a 22 inch bag/ball is too big. The 16 inch bungee sounds about right since it stretches but you may have to make some adjustments to get the right tension. Good luck with your set up and let me know how it turns out 👍🏼

    • @mikepeifer6502
      @mikepeifer6502 6 років тому +1

      Trust Dog Boxing i hear you. The bag I’m looking at is the duel teardrop looking one. It’s half off on Title’s site. I think it’s 22 inches long. I might just get the single one like the one you have. I just like the idea of being able to practice body shots.

    • @TrustDog

      Using rope on the top helps adjusting the height of the ball and it stabilizes the up and down bouncing of the ball.

    hi man im from italy so i dont undedstand that much,could you give me some advice to make the bag faster? like when you punch it comes back and forward faster.i only have to tighten the ropes of the floor and the ceiling or shouls i buy a particular type of rope?thank you

    • @TrustDog
      @TrustDog  5 років тому +1

      Bonjourno my friend. The top rope should be fixed to the height you want the double-end bag to be. The bottom should be attached to the floor with a bungee cord. If you want the bag to move faster the bungee cord needs to be tight. Tighter make the bag move fast but easier to hit. If it’s loose, the bag will travel a longer distance making it a harder to hit. Hope this helps. Viva Italia! 🇮🇹

    Do we need to put a swivel for a double end bag? What is their function in this set up? I have only seen them being used for speed bags.

    • @TrustDog
      @TrustDog  3 роки тому +1

      It depends on how tight the bag is. The tighter the tension on the rope and bungee the more friction it’s going to produce on the metal hardware. I think it does help but not necessary for home use but I would recommend it for gyms or heavy use.

    • @DargorV

    • @TrustDog
      @TrustDog  4 роки тому +1

      There’s a guy who takes his double end bag to the UFC gym and uses a 45 lb weight plate as an anchor and attaches the top rope to the monkey bars, and it works good. I got to try it out and teach him who to use it. I would imagine you can use a dumbbell as long as it’s heavy enough. 🤔👍🏼

      I cut a 2x4 the width of two dumbbells (45lb each) and left about 3-4" in the center for an eyebolt. Both ends of the dumbbells rest on the 2x4 and are plenty heavy to keep it from moving. When I'm done, I just take the weights off and unhook everything. Works perfect for a garage.

      I apologize about leaving out the price of the bag. That's because the video is about installing the deb. I already had the bag but they go for $149.99 through ringside.com. As for the rubber bungee they costs $4.99 each with the pair of carabiners. Also through ringside.com. The bag was recently on sale for approx $80. The drop in floor anchor was 98 cents and the setting tool $2.97 at Home Depot. I paid about $20 after taxes and shipping. 😃

    • @TrustDog

      The Reyes gear is the best. The only issue is that when you inflate the ball you have make sure you moist the pump needle and insert it in properly otherwise you can damage the air intake valve and it will loose air. I had this bag for two years and it's in great shape. I also have a six inch Title bag which is starting to tear at the seams. You get what you buy for.

    • @TrustDog
      @TrustDog  Рік тому

      Hi, I prefer smaller bags anything from 5-7 inches in diameter. The more expensive brands like Reyes use softer leather which is nice but as far functionality it really doesn’t make a difference. It’s up to you how much you’re willing to spend. Hope I answered your question.
