  • Are you a busy Photographer? Do you use a (colour managed) photo lab for your printing? Here we join up the colour workflow dots, from Calibration to Photoshop Softproofing.
Nina will show you how to:
    1. Download/install ColorNavigator - it's imperative you use CN to calibrate your ColorEdge monitor to gain the benefit of more colour tones, and a more accurate display of your files
    1. Create a Colour Target to match your lab printing results*
    2. Assign your new Colour Target to a Calibration Slot to create a Colour Mode
    3. Calibrate your Colour Mode
    4. A brief look at Photoshop Softproofing
*This target is based on a 'one size fits all' set of parameters. While these parameters are based on real world workflows, these parameters are not tailored to your ambient lighting, stock choices, and whether you use Adobe98 vs sRGB. For those entering competitions, creating fine art, fashion, wedding, where editing takes a lot of your time, we recommend you follow this link for a more tailored/personalized result: www.eizo-apac....

Yes you said it correctly! "AY-ZO" is the correct pronunciation as heard from EIZO's own corporate video.

Great tutorial. Do you have the link for the video at the end of your main video. I could only find Eizo global, not local. Thanks. Dan

    Hello
Why choose 5800K when the illuminant in the printer ICC profiles is still at 5000K ?
    Thanks for this video 🙂

Hi there, just saw your question from a month ago, sorry for the late reply. As you may know, 5000 is the accurate setting as per ISO12646, and we would recommend this for iso compliant printers using softproofing. On the other hand, we recorded this video for photographers sending their files to the lab for printing, and 5000k doesn't give us a good match to a photographic print as it's too warm/yellow. While theoretically, 5000 should deliver the better screen-print match, in reality, 5800 tends to deliver a closer match because (a) our eyes get so thrown off when the paper white represented in Adobe software is so yellow and (b) 5000k reflective (print) looks a lot less 'yellow' than 5000k transmissive (monitor).

@@eizo_apac Thank you for your answer. Would it come from the fact that the labs often use papers with OBA that will cool the rendering ?
