I love the symbolism of them all.
The nurses creepy as hell, and the hanging dudes the idea that they have to hang for all eternity is great flavor wise.
If you haven’t looked into the game the Suffering you might like that one’s enemies too.

Think the idea is most of them are as well as rest of it, given most are vaguely slinky lady shape, but yeah think I heard they give shape to impure thoughts he had about nurses during Mary's hospital visits
They do. James saw the nurses treating his wife and they’d flirt with him. He had unfaithful thoughts which caused guilt.

The red square on the nurse is actually a broken alpha texture when seen in a model viewer, which images have circulated on the web for years. In game itself it can be seen as a set of bloody teeth, which sorta float on the face as a basic PS2 texture. Recently the red square design has made it on to figures and is part of the design in the Silent Hill 2 remake. Masahiro Ito has confirmed on twitter/X that it's related to the red square saves. When seeing it on figure I did ask Ito about it and he responded "I'll leave it to your imagination. :-]". So I prefer to believe it's a broken alpha texture. Still the design reminds of imagery from Silent Hill 3 in which Heather is climbing up a ladder and pass a square image of a smiling mouth, so it's very like his visual style.
That's what I love about Silent Hill and The Evil Within. I love how every enemy is symbolic for something.

I think Pyramid Head looks like The Butcher under his helmet. If you played SH origins, you'll remember The Butcher. He had half a helmet on, and the other half had a distorted face.

the nurses could also symbalize James' sexual frustration given how they're dressed, as the themes of the game are both sex and death it fits

Unfortunately, considering how many ppl are okay with upcoming Bloober's demake of SH2, they're still not quite "getting" the information you and a bunch of other channels are providing. Zoomers just should play the fucking thing, there's literally no excuse to NOT trying any of the first three SH games!
you do know that the first 3 games are only available on their original consoles which most people nowadays don’t have/can’t access content within whether it’s due to the online shops shutting down or online listings for the games being stupidly expensive. The remake looks really good so far and everyone SHOULD be excited for it, you can’t expect it to be exactly like the original otherwise what would be the point of remaking it? I don’t understand what you’re upset about honestly
@@bread_cat7878 You won't get to tell me if I SHOULD be excited about anything or not, shill. Silent Hill 1-3 are considered abandonware and finding all of them barely requires effort, even most basic laptop will run them nowadays too. Any REAL fan will have no issue getting them to work, community will be glad to help.

A lot of people also don’t own PC’s or just don’t like to game on them so their options are extremely limited too, but that doesn’t make them any less of a fan than someone who chooses to play them all on PC. All I’m saying is that the remake is a good opportunity for newer players to experience the game and also good for people who can’t access the original so everybody wins!
