For me its confusing if Krauser is infected with plagas or T virus. In the OG resident evil, it is implied that krauser's arm transformation comes from the T-virus after he got Impaled by Manuela's mom in darkside chronicles. I think remake changed it to plaga infection.
Man, you fumbled the El Gigante lore. Jesus. People really hanging up on the ai thing. Chill. Its just a video game lore video. So what. Its still interesting. Lmao. Or maybe its cuz im pretty high. Been binge watching his lore videos.
What's more disturbing is that in the new game, reading some of the science notes suggests that some of the victims used to make a lot of the bioweapons were children. If I remember correctly, the Novistadors (Big Bugs) were said to have been made from the fetuses of pregnant women. ☠
I’m pretty sure this is true, but I can’t remember if they changed it because I remember that Ramon had some of his lore change as well as Jack, so don’t know
If i remembered correctly In the remake they rewrote the gigante's origins to that of a baby successfully infected with the plaga and then it mutated rapidly and used them to mine or to defend in the castle, it's been a while since I had read the note that revealed it in-game in the remake
They did. They also had to put it in to a ritual induced sleep because it was eating all the cattle and the village wasn't going to have anything to eat.
I love RE4 and it’s setting. What’s great is that if you know Spanish, some of these names give better context, such as the Ganados basically translating to Cattle.
The whole children part is freaky The reason you never encounter them is more than just making it not too cruel to shoot kids..but because they literally died from the plagas
Verdugo is the Salazar family butler who tried to prevent Ramon from embracing the Illuminados cult's beliefs but failed and eventually embraced his fate and chose to serve Ramon by volunteering for the experiment that made him into Verdugo. I forget who the other guardian is but I heard it's a female but I don't remember.
This lore video isn't very good at explaining lore. Verdugo wasn't a royal guard, he was Ramon's butler, and U-III was a maid. Krauser's past isn't a mystery, he explains his reasoning very openly, at least in the remake. Two years before the events of the game, he was part of a mission called Operation Javier. He and his men were sent to kill an Umbrella researcher and drug lord called Javier Hidelgo who was sell B.O.Ws on the black market. During the mission all his men were killed, the US goverment abandoned him, and the whole thing was covered up. This led to him decideing that raw power was all that mattered in the world. The Regeneradors weren't guadians. Accoarding to a file in the remake, they were one mans creation that got loose and couldn't be recontained without severe casualties. And you didn't have to keep repeating the statement about enemies showcasing the depravity of Los Iluminados and their mastery of Las Plagas. It is both redundant and annoying.
I think there WAS some light shed on the origins of the Verdugo in RE4 Remake. IIRC you can find some letters that seemed to belong to two servants of the Salazar family hinting at them being the subjects whom would be transformed into these creatures. One was blindly loyal to Salazar, and another saw his true evil nature, but was afraid of speaking against him openly. But this is off my memory, so take it with a grain of salt.
You are right. But I think it also had so explanation in old RE4 for at least verdugo. Verdugo was a servant who made himself into that to serve Salazar. The other one was the servant who saw evil in Salazar in the notes but accepted his failure in letting saddler be manipulated and apologized to Salazar parents before being turned
WHOOOHOOO! Jeez these videos are so great and the photos make everything so cool and creepy at the same time. Not to mention the cool videos of the game. Great job!
Sometimes I think it's a little silly how Wesker used Ada to do his dirty work in RE 4 (Specifically RE 4 remake where we literally see him on the island, even helping Ada at one point.) Like, this dude already has the Uroboros in him (If the Mercenaries mode version of him is canon at this point). He could have just ran through every enemy in the game and took whatever he wanted lol
Garradors dont have eyes because when they were made they would attack everyone and everything they saw. So they had to take their eyes and chain them up
Every map in this game is such a masterpiece or lore and architecture 😢 Village/ castle/island .. the weapon system , design of enemies, Ada ❤ Resident Evil 4 is a masterpiece
Old RE4 is the only game in my collections that could f*ck you up even when you're playing it using gameshark/action replay cheats. It's all thanks to the sheer amount of instant death QTE and the existence of salvador, belsis, del lago, and krauser
Two things that weren't mentioned that I also don't know too much of are the Black Water & the Ritual. These are what are responsible for some of the mutations. We see a Castle Zealot giving some Black Water to Ashley in the Remake to conclude the Ritual. This was supposed to grant her additional powers similar to Bitorez Mendez & Salazar, as explained in the old RE4. I can only assume that these were also what made some of the enemies, like the Verdugo, & not just some additional experimentations. Again we see in the Remake how a Red Castle Zealot awakens El Gigante through a chant & also summons the Plaga to burst out of the Castle Zealot Ganado in the Castle. These methods were also used to create further mutations & enhance the Plaga & not just mere surgical instruments & experimentations alone. And just a side note, since Wesker trained Krauser, that is the reason Krauser can run real fast & jump real high. Resident Evil 4 is, in a way, a display of how Leon would be able to fight Wesker & come out victorious. So in Resident Evil 6 Leon might have been able to go toe to toe with Jake.
They're missing a few enemies from that game. The Wasp Samurais and the Colossal Ruin, and those cannon crabs that have a canon for a pincer and they light it up using a cigar they smoke.
I love both the original or and the remake RE4 minus the loss of key boss fights, and the fact (it wasnt working before anyways) not able to play the mercenaries remake on PS4, so far nothing i did fixed the "mercenaries does not show up on the menu" no matter what!
Saddler took advantage of salazars poor health and his mother was convinced to infect him with the plaga to "cure" him. How come thats left out? Its in a memo in the game. After that is when he broke the seal.
Yeah, I forgot about that. I think some aspects of his lower were changed like Krauser, for example, but I don’t believe there’s that much of a change so I don’t really remember the Lore on that one.
Favorite Resident Evil 4 Enemy?

21:28 either the cover artist from the original resident evil drew this or you used ai cause what gun is that supposed to be
Every map in this game is such a masterpiece or lore and architecture 😢 Village/ castle/island .. the weapon system , design of enemies, Ada ❤ Resident Evil 4 is a masterpiece
This just felt like AI script
Great video, well done
Nice editing, but bro not every enemy needs to be described as a loss of humanity and some poetic description. We got the first time 50 times lol.
I'm pretty confident that I'm not the only one that's super glad they took RE4 in the direction they did.
Resident Evil 3.5 (hookman) needs a remake!
I thought doctor Salvador using a tool such as a chainsaw instead of something precise like a scalpel showed his mental degradation
You basically said the same thing 30 times
Saddler took advantage of salazars poor health and his mother was convinced to infect him with the plaga to "cure" him. How come thats left out? Its in a memo in the game. After that is when he broke the seal.
Yeah, I forgot about that. I think some aspects of his lower were changed like Krauser, for example, but I don’t believe there’s that much of a change so I don’t really remember the Lore on that one.
The very first dude is the one person whos not a zombie
I can picture Verdugo represent capcon in a versus game like Marvel vs. Capcom.
