So I'm not worried even if there might be a new console coming. The price for a new console will be too high for me so getting an Oled now is my safe option.
Say what you want, i pre-ordered the zelda TOTK oled edition and its going to be awesome!! If you want al the best specs for gaming you gotta buy a gaming pc! Most people don't understand you are still playing a NINTENDO!! It's not supposed to have all the best whistles and bells.
Bought a Switch for Breath of the wild. Sold 5 yrs ago. Bought an Oled for Tear's of the kingdom. Just wanted a pickup and play experience. Also considering a Steam deck or Playstation portal to go with my PS5
gonna upgrade my day one switch to the OLED TOTK edition, I just wanna enjoy my games through a bigger and better screen so its worth it for me even if next year we'll get a new system
I bought a switch oled last month, and pre-ordered the tears of a kingdom edition. I'm not sitting around waiting on something that hasn't even been announced yet
Thinking of getting the recent Mario bundle with the regular switch. I don't see myself using the handheld feature as much as I'll be playing games on my TV. I doubt it, but does this OLED model change the gameplay on the TV?
If you are upgrading definitely go with the OLED vs the regular switch. There are numerous improvements the OLED has thats worth the minor extra cost over the standard model!
I've never owned a Nintendo console. Should I buy OLED for 300-350 or the normal one for 175-200? I've never played a Nintendo game and my main concern is the possibility of a new console release soon+ the game prices.
Im not sure where you are getting the prices for the standard switch but retail it is only 50 dollars cheaper. You may be referring to the Nintendo Switch Lite that has significantly less features than the OLED/Standard models. I would recommend purchasing as I mentioned in the video, it has an amazing library and a number of upcoming AAA titles.
Best Review ever Gonna make some research about the steam deck because I'm coming from PlayStation gang I'm jumping into Nintendo cause I wanted a handheld console, but I'm really considering to buy the switch oled
Just couple of months ago started saving money to by Nintendo switch so i can play it when m away from home. Now that ive got more than enough money m hesitant to buy it. Cuz i play a-lot in pc n i own ps5 too which i dont play much. I wanna buy it bt dont wanna end up not playing it after couple of months. Cant decide anymore 😢😂
I'm considering buy it now. I have the same feeling that Nintendo is going to release a new console soon. But you know what? I don't care! I don't want to become an early adopter. It's Nintendo! I'll purchase along with the console 4-5 games that I know that I will love and the children as well,in physical form (so that I don't get hang later from the closer of the online shop-Nintendo always do that) and I'll see in the course of time what else. I think,if I buy switch sports,Mario Odyssey,Mario Party (isn't that the name of the title that includes Mario Galaxy,Mario 64,etc?),Mario kart,Luigi's Mansion a Zelda title(probably the last one) and Animal Crossing in SD format I am future proof. I mean, these are the major titles someone wants to play from Nintendo. And then I can wait till the second, improved version of the next Nintendo console comes. Like with the Switch oled. Witch is the console it should be released in the first place.
As someone who bought the Switch 6 years after it was released I also think you're making a perfectly fine decision. The Switch has such a large library that even if a new console is released, you'll still be able to enjoy all those titles!
Im planning on buying the pokemon switch oled bc it looks so cool. I have a switch lite but my girlfiriend said she wanted to try gaming so im going to give her my lite while i get the pokemon scarlet and violet oled. Already have a few games fro my collection which i think my gf will enjoy. Im excited to see her play games
I prefer my launch switch Just hacked mine the other day and can get all the games for free. No more spending $50-$60 on pokemon, zelda, mario games that pretty much never go on sale ( including other games)
I just ordered the Tears of the Kingdom edition, I've been wanting a switch for a long time now lol. I can finally afford one now so I think it's a winwin
Bought the regular Switch yesterday and took it back exchanged it for the Switch OLED. So far I like it the quality is phenomenal. I don't own any other gaming consoles so I'm pretty excited about the Switch. The only reason I bought it is to play Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3. 😂😂😅 I'm into fantasy rpg games like MUA but don't see too many in the library anybody have any good open world fantasy games for switch let me know 😊
I like my oled! I definately don't buy a Switch2 at the release because it will be the same as always to catch tons of money: first there will be a standard modell then will come a light and a pro and an oled or whatever. I will wait a few years too look what will come.Till then my oled with its games is perfect for me!
Well, Nintendo forcing consumers to buy the oled buy making a lot of good accessories and customized look for Oled, I'm happy with my lite connected with Nintendo switch pro con with mobile grip with anker behind😂 i finished AC ezio and AC 3 with liberation, I'm currently playing AC 4😂 kinda sad no AC 1, i want Altairs adventure 😢
Off course its worth buying for the exclusives ! Even when the switch 2 comes out. It like the Nintendo 3ds, its still worth buying for the exclusives. Or if you don't care about owning a switch just buy a steam deck.
It was already confirmed that the devkit news is fake. The source admitted that they fed fake rumors to see if it'll be retweeted and spread everywhere.
Someone mentioned in the comments that its because of when its used for 2 player use (when its detached). This way it is consistent with the other controller, which now makes some sense
I'm trying to decide what to buy a Xbox Series S or Nintendo Switch OLED and I already have a Ps5 and I really can't decide and this video kinda helped and awesome Video
Bro im literally planning to but a OLED Switch in October mid term break since i realised i nearly have enough money, i didn't know there is a switch 2 coming out soon 😭😭
From my experience with my own Steam Deck. I feel like if you don't have a good PC, the Steam Deck is a great purchase if you get a dock & wireless keyboard/mouse. But I found myself just going back to my PC after a few weeks and using the SD less and less. That being said its a great bit of tech.
@storiesfromthegrave744 thank you for sharing. Personally, I own a switch and a decent gaming pc. I find myself playing the switch more frequently as it's more accessible. I'd go home after a long day of work, chill on the couch and play. I usually sit in front of the PC to game during the weekends or holidays. I also tend to play vastly different games too. GTA and souls like games on PC, and pretty much everything else on the switch.
One of the reasons Nintendo keep delaying the new switch is because people keep buying the current switch. We gotta 'force' them to play their hands, people.
Ugh but that screen looks soooo gooood 😢 and some of these game are really getting optimized. No mans sky, Crysis triligy, Persona 5. Heck even ARK runs good. BUT MUH PC Blows peoples minds why I like playing my game boy when my snes is in my room
at the moment im honestly conflicted, i've had a switch since day 1, but i keep thinking about getting a tears of the kingdom switch, but cant decide wether its worth the upgrade or wether to wait for the switch 2 lol
@@MannyRataul thats kind of waht i was thinking, how bad is the joycon drift on the newer oled models, because on my current switch i've gone through at least 5 pairs of joycons, though the current pair is stil going strong after a couple of years, i'd hate to buy the totk edition and have the joycons develop drift
For the most part it seems like they were untrue. There is no timeline on when a new console will be released by Nintendo so if you are interested and want to purchase the Switch, I recommend you go for it.
Pretty sure next product will be VR. Also no to Steam Deck. OK better device itself in all specs. But none of the games are made for it. All it does is emulate existing games that are made for PC. Not a good idea. Switch is a better option. PC is the best option for games. Xbox Live and Epic Games Store are a better choice to get games than Stream. But when going to bed, having something handheld to play with a library of amazing exclusives. Switch is it.
Not correct, the steam deck is an actual computer with genuine PC hardware so games are technically made for it, that’s why its library trumps any other handheld device. It is a legitimate handheld PC. Nintendo’s next console will probably be completely new and different from the Switch if history dictates.
4 days ago I was faced with this dilemma, to either buy a switch V2 or buy Oled. Being a beginer Technician, I told myself, "Those screens look pretty, but in the long run they are nothing but bad news, because of the screen burn in." So I went with V2.
Burn in isn't really an issue, I'm I hardcore gamer on the switch oled and I have had it since it released. No burn in so far, but I would still probably wait.

Agreed, to compare a system spec for spec is futile. What matters most is the gaming experience and Nintendo’s exclusive lineup.
Bought a Switch for Breath of the wild. Sold 5 yrs ago. Bought an Oled for Tear's of the kingdom. Just wanted a pickup and play experience. Also considering a Steam deck or Playstation portal to go with my PS5
Awesome video makes me want to buy it…il have it in a week..great job explaining detail to detail!
I'm happy you found the video useful! I hope you enjoy your new Switch!
Love it - especially watching anime on an OLED on the go is always good!
Thats a great point! I didnt even consider video playback!!
gonna upgrade my day one switch to the OLED TOTK edition, I just wanna enjoy my games through a bigger and better screen so its worth it for me even if next year we'll get a new system
I bought a switch oled last month, and pre-ordered the tears of a kingdom edition. I'm not sitting around waiting on something that hasn't even been announced yet
Good for you
Smart guy. Nintendo next gen still years away honestly.
Thinking of getting the recent Mario bundle with the regular switch. I don't see myself using the handheld feature as much as I'll be playing games on my TV. I doubt it, but does this OLED model change the gameplay on the TV?
No difference in gameplay on the TV between the standard and OLED switch
I am thinking of upgrading to a oled from a Lite you think it's worth it? Or just go with the normal switch
If you are upgrading definitely go with the OLED vs the regular switch. There are numerous improvements the OLED has thats worth the minor extra cost over the standard model!
@@MannyRataul tysm for the quick answer! Love the video btw
I would recommend purchasing as I mentioned in the video, it has an amazing library and a number of upcoming AAA titles.
sadly wont buy a switch 2 or an OLED, i play on a TV, ...handheld lovers should buy
I just pre ordered my first Switch ever, yeeeep the OLED Zelda one. No turning back now :D Just need a copy of BOTW!

Best Review ever
Gonna make some research about the steam deck because I'm coming from PlayStation gang I'm jumping into Nintendo cause I wanted a handheld console, but I'm really considering to buy the switch oled
I prefer my launch switch
Just hacked mine the other day and can get all the games for free.
😂😂😅 I'm into fantasy rpg games like MUA but don't see too many in the library anybody have any good open world fantasy games for switch let me know
😊
just bought my oled absolutely loving it even more than my ps5 and series x its simply just fun that honestly everything else is lacking
Being able to play it wherever and whenever is super convenient
@@MannyRataul so awesome just kicking it in bed playing zelda and whatever else so dope!
I got mine for my birthday... do you think it was worth it for me to get as a gift?
Totally worth it. Switch has a huge library and won’t have a successor for more than a year. Likely two years.
they can’t use dpad on the joycon cause it’s multiplayer nature
I like my oled! I definately don't buy a Switch2 at the release because it will be the same as always to catch tons of money: first there will be a standard modell then will come a light and a pro and an oled or whatever. I will wait a few years too look what will come.Till then my oled with its games is perfect for me!
Great content here, you should have more likes
Thanks!!
The screen is stunning, for a 720p screen. I bet even people with modded OG switch will buy the OLED if they are Nintendo superfans.
I love the review! You were very specific with the details of the switch oled. I am considering to getting one. Thank you for the review!
You’re welcome! Thanks for watching!
Off course its worth buying for the exclusives ! Even when the switch 2 comes out. It like the Nintendo 3ds, its still worth buying for the exclusives. Or if you don't care about owning a switch just buy a steam deck.
Bought one yesterday 😂 💪
Joycon drift? Fixed mine with less than $5. Pick up rubbing alcohol and cotton swabs and be careful.
Great tip!
How'd you fix it?
What FPS game is being shown?
Portal 2
Nintendo sends to developer switch 2 dev kit. Thats a correct and big leak. They will announce switch 2 in 12.05.2023
It was already confirmed that the devkit news is fake. The source admitted that they fed fake rumors to see if it'll be retweeted and spread everywhere.
Really ?
@@tnstock742 for real thats very big rumor. bigger than rumor
I am in a dilemma, i have the switch lite and planning on buying a cfw oled. Is it a good idea?
Hi! How much are you planning on spending on the OLED?
@@MannyRataul 550€
@@Sminder01 hmm that is very very expensive for a switch… if you fan afford to foot the bill, but I would not in your situation
@@MannyRataul the price includes the chip pre installed on the oled.
If Nintendo put a d-pad on the Switch Lite, why didn't they put it on the Switch OLED. I've always wondered this.
Im glad it was helpful!
Bro im literally planning to but a OLED Switch in October mid term break since i realised i nearly have enough money, i didn't know there is a switch 2 coming out soon 😭😭
Just buy it enjoy it we have no idea when switch 2 will announced and b out in the wild 🗿
Really enjoyed this and the Lite's review.
Steam Deck next?
Thanks!! And stay tuned 👀…
From my experience with my own Steam Deck. I feel like if you don't have a good PC, the Steam Deck is a great purchase if you get a dock & wireless keyboard/mouse. But I found myself just going back to my PC after a few weeks and using the SD less and less. That being said its a great bit of tech.
@storiesfromthegrave744 thank you for sharing.
BUT MUH PC
Blows peoples minds why I like playing my game boy when my snes is in my room
Being this late to the switch scene I guess I should probably wait for the next one
at the moment im honestly conflicted, i've had a switch since day 1, but i keep thinking about getting a tears of the kingdom switch, but cant decide wether its worth the upgrade or wether to wait for the switch 2 lol
I think the leaks on the Switch 2 have really dwindled down, the Tears of Kingdom edition would still be an amazing purchase
@@MannyRataul thats kind of waht i was thinking, how bad is the joycon drift on the newer oled models, because on my current switch i've gone through at least 5 pairs of joycons, though the current pair is stil going strong after a couple of years,
i'd hate to buy the totk edition and have the joycons develop drift
Which switch do you think would be better for a child? (5-8 years old)
I think the Lite for sure, it has less removable parts and is alot lighter than the OLED model
Does the steam deck play Nintendo games?
Legally? No
Is it real or just rumors about the Switch 2?Should I wait until it launched.
For the most part it seems like they were untrue. There is no timeline on when a new console will be released by Nintendo so if you are interested and want to purchase the Switch, I recommend you go for it.
Switch successor doesn’t even have a code name yet. It’s a ways off.
Literally buying this only for Mario and Pokemon lol...
Switch 2 will defo not be announced this year, 50/50 next year to be announced but around 2025 there will definitely be news
Planning on getting the zelda edition next mounth
Switch 2 when ? I want to get this, but the wait for the Switch 2.
thanks manny
I went to Walmart today I saw Nintendo Switch Lite for $50.00 y so cheap. 😮
I bought the switch because of Zelda..
There are channels that have done burn in tests at length, as long as you dont leave the screen on and Idle you wont have to worry about burn in.
@@MannyRataul Thanks for this info, might consider getting one in the future. 😁
I just picked up an OLED Splatoon 3 edition Switch for $250 new in box. I’d say it was definitely worth it. And I already have a v2 switch that my kids mostly play on.
@@armored-clown You got the entire unit for that price? Or just the tablet only?
Sheesh I already bought it
How do you like it?
I want Switch Lite OLED.
Only for TotK, I brought it
Online is pathetic by nintendo. Increase the price a little but please do offer games. CURRENT GEN GAMES
Compared to Xbox Gamepass and Playstation Plus, 100% agreed.
Well there is very much a reason why theres no dpad like lite so its better to play with only 1 joycon but yea its not great dpad
Why this guy hate his xbox series s? The poor console is on a place that can't breath just for that i don't trust in his opinion.
“Poor console can’t breathe” LMFAO
Switch 2 won't happen
Wait
Too late already upgraded
