@@TheProvokedPrawnHi, I have a latest x870e-e mother board, it has 3 usb2 header and the manual says it can connect 3 more from it totalling 6, How does that work? It's possible only via splitter cable right? If so how can it power and transfer data at same time from a splitter?
Ran into the issue of running out of usb ports on my mobo, my aio & nzxt hub took those 2 spots but i still needed an extra 2 spots for my strimer cables and didnt know how to fix this. Luckily i found this video right away lol, thanks!
I am so much happy to get it added into my build week ago as it get things done like you presented, overtly the cool outlook and quality looks pretty like an overkill to the purpose, in fact well calculated design. Please do more of these kind of must-buy, sometimes we just missed to know there are some well-designed stuff~
I've been screaming for this device whenever you mention a different one! I believe Corsair has a hub too, on their website but I never seen it in the wild.
another cable to deal with, sata power that is. it would be neat if it was powered by another usb header, so you can at least have to cables close together for easier cable management. although, i think usb header wont be able to supply enough power. anyways, theres also a 1 to 4 pwm fan splitter from akasa. works like charm. check it out, if need be.
Crazy I was so close to ordering this today. I’m going to wait until I find a case I really want to upgrade to, been thinking about the fractal north xl
I ran all those things off it with no problem. That's the Commander Core XT, two lighting nodes and the H150i Elite display. 18 lighting triangles, 7 fans and the AIO. All recognised by Windows/iCue :)
I agree very good product HOWEVER depending upon the brand of rgb / usb in my experience with Corsair products I have had success and failure with it all being connected and recognised in ICUE through the Nzxt device which is frustrating as this is the only decent internal usb spiltter imo anyway but I could be doing things wrong who knows

@TheProvokedPrawn the Q-dashboard in bios shows a diagram of whats connected currently and it actually shows 6 usb 2.0 headers from the 3 available ports (2 for each), normally for an unpowered splitter the limitation is it cant transfer both power and data simultaneously for the two connections right? I'm not sure how it will work as they advertise..
@The Provoked Prawn Is it possible to connect AL, SL V2 or any other of the Lian Li fans to a hub that came with the SL120 V1 controller? Have a o11 air mini filled with SL120s & SL140s (V1) except for bottom intake. I have the two 140mm that came with the case in the bottom. Love your videos. Nice vibe. Great source for making me feeling informed and confident about by purchase.
If the usb hub gets powered by SATA cable, do I have to power the rgb controller with another SATA cable? Or in this case using powered usb hub there is no need to connect rgb controller with the power supply?
im having an issue with usb 2.0 splitters working with the lian li fan controller and my lian li strimer controller at the same time. Will this work with both plugged in at the same time?
Can you maybe tell mi what do u think about my build i use the intel i5 12600KF and a 3060 vision paired with a z790 32 gigs of venganace all that in a h9 flow with kraken white 360 aio
yes its connected I fixed it, Im assuming it was the order in which they were connected. I had the lian li controller first then pump switched it to the other way its working now thank you@@TheProvokedPrawn
does anyone know if this device lets you attach a ssd drive. So the ssd drive has its own sata power to teh drive but the sata data from the drive gets plugged in to this device with the 9 pin usb connection. I heard that usb 2 mother board headers only allow 2 usb splits but would this device work lets say the same wiring set up above but with 3 ssd drives connected to the hub
If I have 2 commander cores, Would I still connect both of them to the PSU or now I only have to connect this hub to the PSU? Any help would really help, thank you
@@TheProvokedPrawn OK thanks because I kind of like the way Corsair Internal 4-Port USB 2.0 usb ports are on the side instead of on top I don't have to worry about the door smushing it lol

I have these in my last two build. They r indeed good products. Strangely there are no similar products in the market
Corsair just brought out there own recently im pretty sure
Corsair does seem to have one but I've not tried it.
@@TheProvokedPrawn Yea i bought my NZXT one like a month before Corsair brought out theirs
i watched a couple of your videos and let me say, you're the definition of underrated

I Bought this one for my Cooler Master have 700 evo because l installed 20 Lian Li sl infinity fans & the 24 & Triple 8 Pin cable connectors
I've had this gadget in my Amazon wishlist for a while. Still deciding whether it's worth building a new system.

@@TheProvokedPrawn I'm glad you told me that.
Can you use this to hook up argb fans to a motherboard that does not have argb headers?
Like a Corsair TBT200 Thunderbolt 4 Dock maybe ? Pos getting nzxt elite but not sure how can connect up some 5tb lacie usb c drives
Does it work with l connect 3 hub as i cant get my strimmers to light up
YUP. Have you checked for firmware updates first though? ua-cam.com/video/xmLIU40UOVI/v-deo.html

I just bought NZXT internal USB hub but it doesn't work, plugging the usb in the front of the case doesn't work. Please help me what am I missing.
You need to power the hub via the Sata cable
can you make a video on the corsair version of this type of hub?
The logic is basically the same. It's easy to use and i have used it in builds
Does this work with the lian li galahad ii lcd? And does L Connect detect it through this hub?
I'm having the same problem, do you have the answer now?
@@SuperNova2912Any update? Did you get it to work?
I did this setup on my new build, but for some in nzxt cam, it shows my fans as 0rpm

Unpowered splitters probably. Powered ones give you more connections

They changed the controller for V2 so the connectors are different. You're best off buying a new controller for the new fans.

If the RGB controller has sata it'll probably need it too
Can I plug in the F_Panel to this? My mobo only has 1 usb 2.0
Does iCUE recognize corsair products connected through the NZXT hub?
yup

@TheProvokedPrawn i used this and my l connect 3 isnt detecting my fans or my aio is there any help you can provide?

Yes, they'd still need power as well.
@@TheProvokedPrawn I see… thank you so much! Your videos have really helped me with my first build!
Great video but I was wondering is there a difference between NZXT USB Hub internal 2.0 or Corsair Internal 4-Port USB 2.0?
Not that I know of

@@TheProvokedPrawn i did! instantly subbed after this video
can i use it with 3 pin fans?
It's a USB hub, not fan hub. So no.
2:44 RGB 💀
Thought the exact same lmao. Small price to pay for the results.
thank you!
No worries
I hate to ask this but does the corsair hub work as well?
Yes Richard. Same logic. 👍🏼
Where can I buy this?
Links in the description
I use this
its kinda easy for it to be the best NZXT product, reason: no Cam req for it to work lool
shots fired!
Corsair do a nicer one
Cool
