- Help heal Wounds Naturally with Yarrow Balm 🌸
Yarrow has been used for its Wound Healing abilities as far back in history as we can see. Most famously used by the armies of the great Greek warrior Achilles to heal their wounds after battles. Almost forgotten today Yarrow a wild edible & medicinal flower grows in abundance & is often considered a weed! 🌱 These historic uses of yarrow inspired modern science to study the flower, which found it was able to help heal wounds by regenerating tissue as well as being anti inflammatory, able to relive digestive issues & even help reduce depression & anxiety 💚

I bought your book last week, and I must say, I wasn't expecting it to be so thick, which delighted me, knowing there would be so much content inside it and I wasn't disappointed. Excellent book, and I highly recommend it to everyone.

Love the chanel, I'm a fellow forager living down in cornwall near lands end in a tipi, if you're ever down this way I'd love to show you all the amazing localised plants , seaweeds and crab and fish ! Keep up the good work tipu jon
Speaking of the book, had you considered making an audio version of it for people to listen on the go? Great content as always. And the enthusiasm.
Thanks so much for the comment Dorian, we are working hard on other ideas for the book and Audio version would be great, watch this space ✌❤

Love your content. I have been making my own balms of yarrow and Plantain for over a year now.
Working in a kitchen, myself and all of my crew have used this on cuts and burns...It works wonders.
Thank you for bringing these plants into my life, I will never be without them.
Thanks so much Andy. We love Yarrow and Plantain is awesome too ✌❤
Do you dry the plants or use the yarrow and plantain fresh? Do you use the roots as well or just plant matter? Thanks for information
I love the way you two show and explain so perfectly easy how to do it ourselves from the beginning to the end. Great teachers!
💚
Enjoyed
Do you dry and use the stems too, or just strip the leaves and flowers off before infusing?
So interesting that it speeds up wound healing significantly! Can it also be used to heal wounds which have not fully healed but reamin as scars?
I’ve just ordered your book .. I can’t wait 😁

Does coconut oil work too?
Could I use natural bees wax? love your videos. Thank you.
Thankyou for sharing your knowledge.
Wonderful.. full off knowledge..one of the best on the net. Off to order your book..Tk u for sharing
Can I use shea butter instead? Or maybe make an infusion with fresh yarrow in oil? Thanks :o)
Yes to both 🙂
I made yarrow salve, but the lady said to let it simmer at 175 for 4 hours, I did but did I cook it to long for the medicinal properties to stay intact?
I watched the Salve video for the ALL HEAL can you make a YARROW balm with just coconut oil just like the all heal?
Could I mix some plantain in with the yarrow as well?
Yes 🙂
I was just thinking that would be a good blend. 😊
Okay, quick question, could you substitute the shea butter for beeswax, and the dried yarrow for yarrow oil? And if so, would it affect the recipe?
Thanks!
Great video!! I'm looking forward to trying this one! Is there a reason you went for cocoa butter over oil? Or us it preference
What do you do with the “used up” yarrow?
hey ! loved the video, could i do the same with fresh plant matter too? heated with the coco butter or does it have to be dried
Do one on Kudzu & japanese Knotweed 🤔
It's on the to do list 😁
Manners? A please wouldn't go amiss 😂
Saw another video that uses shea butter and sunflower oil with fresh yarrow. Is one method better than the other??
Hi, I know someone with discoide lupus. He has red spots only on his head. Shea butter and cocoa butter irritate the spots and make them redder. Do you have any ideas of how the spots can go away?
Hiya, sorry ad we are not medical professionals we do not give medical advice..we hope you guys can find something that helps as it sounds very uncomfortable ✌❤
Possibly try coconut oil or castor oil?
@@tammymccoy2520 thanks for your suggestion. I actually have become pescatatarian, eliminated all processed sugar, drink lime water everyday, and first thing in the morning mix a tsp of ground cumin, turmeric, apple cider and fresh ginger with a half up of water. The spots are gone and its only been 1 month of practicing this. Above all, I've totally surrendered my life to God. It's a healthy lifestyle change. Hope this helps anyone else who needs to hear this. 🙏
Find what oil dosnt irritate his skin, I have lupus affects on my skin but what I use on my skin that is not affected with this does irritate where it is on my skin, try different oils on the area first to see what dosnt irritate it, then use that to make u salve, I tried different oils or butters for it, the only one with no irritation was olive oil,
Is fresh yarrow more potent than dried?
No, dried simply increases the potential shelf life 🙂
I'm curious if this is possible to do with cultivars such as Achillea Parkers Variety, that I have had in my garden for years, originally grown from seed? I'm thinking it would have the same properties?
Only the wild white or pinkish yarrow have the medicinal properties.
@@Earth2Flo-v6f thank you for responding, fortunately I have access to both :)
Hi I have watched a few of your videos and am considering buying your Knowledge to Forage book. You have studies you refer to regarding how plants have helped to heal ect was wondering if you have you got references for the souces of these studies stated so they can be reviewed thankyou muchly Michelle 😊

I am definitely going to try this, where do you get the coco butter from though? ❤❤❤❤❤

hi guys can i ask you , i planted some yarrow seeds but did it too late , can i dry and the leaves as i think its going to be too late for it to flower ,and will it be as good , as i want to make this for my grandkids, ive made this with the stem and leaves as i had not flower, ive found that its very hard to use , but dose work many thanks to your wonderful videos . (peace)
Why would you not combine yarrow and all heal together in a singular balm?
Do you send your book to Australia?
Please repeat What kind a butta?
Can bees wax be used instead of cocoa butter?
Yes but as an ingredient with an oil . Coconut oil with some beeswax, and ad some essential oil like rozemarijn and peppermint
