- It’s been a very interesting experiment over a dozen years where women will tell me that men are intimidated by them, but the feedback from the men with whom I match them has revealed other information that leads me to wonder whether she has accurately assessed the situation.

I've only dated highly educated and successful women. YOU nailed it!!! Some of us men are not intimidated by these women, but we wonder why are they dating if they don't have time for us? Show interest in your date and ask questions. Make yourself available and stop trying to impress us so much. Take a breath and let me tell you about MY amazing life and accomplishments too.

I like the advice in this video, but I would add that women like a partner who is their equal or above. If they meet someone who's not as successful, she may have many more activities she can get involved in compared to her partner. We all like to relax, but can the average guy relate to relaxing on a yacht? The man may enjoy going out to eat, but if he's average, will he relate to dining at a five star restaurant every time? There can be many reasons why a man may not want to have a relationship where he tends to feel "boring" to his mate. This video brushed against the subject but never quite hit it straight on. These women who think they may be coming across as intimidating may actually be making the man feel as though he has nothing to offer. It's not intimidation exactly, but more success level compatibility.

Very excellent and unique insights on a rarely discussed topic that few YT singles gurus address.
Thank you. A lot of these “gurus” were never matchmakers and some were never even coaches before UA-cam. So this is just something that came up quite often in my matchmaking.
Sadly, this is the culture we live in. You can be confident and that might come off as intimidating, but the way someone else is feeling is not yours to own. The question is why are you feeling intimidated? Anyone who checks boxes off of the “look at me” list is a waste of time. There’s a lot of trauma behind that with feeling unworthy. You can have all of the success in the world, but if emotional intelligence is lacking, there’s not much room for growth in a relationship.

Some men actually are. I have had it happen, and they’ve told me. These guys comeback later when they feel like they are where they want to be financially.
I do believe some women have different energy that is off putting though. Your points do exist.
Women like myself have to do better about gaining more insights about men before taking it further. Is the man truly happy with himself and where he is going. It makes it hard to develop a relationship if he isn’t.
These sort of topics have to be clear that it can exist.
Hey Regina! So you’re talking about a type of financial intimidation? I’m sure some people of both genders are envious of others who are more successful financially, but personally I’ve never had a man say he found that “intimidating”.
By the way, my best friend agrees with you and thinks that men are intimidated by some women. And perhaps I would agree that there are some very insecure men out there, who would be intimidated by any woman. 🤷🏻♀️
But in this scenario I have had men say that they don’t feel they have the same lifestyle goals, or note that with handbags worth thousands, that their values are probably not aligned. Men have said that they don’t feel they have the same expendable income and it’s not a match because he would not to be able to pay his own way on the lavish trips she enjoys so often.🌴
Maybe I’m dealing with men who are able to articulate this due to the fact, they are speaking to a coach and Matchmaker who encourages them to be forthcoming and authentic for their own good?
I’ve only talked to thousands of men that is obviously not everyone, so I am not negating your experience! Just sharing my own. 🤎👍

There is nothing that says a ‘boss’ woman cannot be all of those things you listed. I have met so many, so I disagree with you on that. But yes, on the attributes you listed; they’re very often listed as priorities for men I work with.

Success usually requires a lot of time spent at work. That often leaves limited time for relationships. A good measure is how long it takes her to "fit you into" her schedule. If the first "opening" is more than 2 weeks away, skip it altogether. She has no time for you. . Suggest that she hires a male escort who will come on time and leave promptly when the date is "completed".
Well, that’s a little extreme. We could perhaps hope that people will prioritize what they say is important to them and make some life changes, no?
