I have a pair of tall black Ralph Lauren boots that I wore all over Europe when traveling there to visit my daughter over a period of 10 years! They were beautiful and comfortable and it was hard to finally give up on them. But I purchased a newer, but similar version of them last year…. Truly the most versatile pair of footwear I own with classic good looks. Black boots are the bomb!

I would love if you could “shop your own wardrobe” to see how you come up with new ideas to put your outfits together. I would say I got quite good in combining things but often times I gravitate towards the same outfit concepts which makes it feel less interesting and less varied. Love your vids and Insta posts!

Great video on the why's and how's of styling. Maybe you could create a video on how to style silk shirts and/or colors in boots and shoes (burgundy, green). I like the idea of another viewer's idea of styling flared and straight jeans with shoes/boots. Keep these "how to" videos coming.
Thanks for this video it was very interesting. This is why I find fashion and style so confusing though. I was literally reading an article from 2020 the other day that said the opposite of what you said about leaving a gap of skin between boots and a skirt. It said leaving a gap of 2-3 inches between ankle boots and a midi skirt was the perfect way to style them and not leaving a gap looks bad. There’s so much conflicting information out there on how to style things it becomes really disheartening and makes me feel like I probably look frumpy and outdated even when I’m really trying not to and have done my research.
So helpful and glad you will be doing more videos like this. Could you talk more about color of boots? As a petite I am always looking to extend my leg length in pants - Should I wear black boots with navy or black trousers, or with dark denim only? What about brown boots or ivory boots? I have similar questions about belts, which I notice you often wear. What is the most flattering way to wear them? Would love a video just on belts! Thank you for all you do.

Love this type of video. Totally agree about the skirt length…sadly as a taller person so many skirts and dresses fall to a weird length on the leg but this season with maxi length coming back I am hopeful to find some suitable pieces. Would love a similar video for white/cream boots (I have the same By Far boots in cream and can never style them!)
I think brown/ camel trousers or other light colors will look good with your cream boots! Or even scheme colour outfits similar to the shoe color will look amazing!
Lydia it needs to be said more often but you are a genius!!! Thank you for educating as always!! If I may make a small request, it would be really helpful if you could add cut-ins of other outfits that demonstrate your principle of balance, but perhaps using a different style of clothing (e.g. for those who are petite, or may not wear an oversize blazer).
