Who likes this style?
Me
Yeah, same bruthA. Gimme more super powers n secret wars
Love it. Keep it going
Dig it!
Noice
Pixel dan and robo my new saturday morning cartoons
Love this format! Definitely want this to continue in the future. You could call this like, Saturday Showcase or something like that
Barry: Who's the Jerk that calls himself The Tick!?
Tick: I'm that Jerk! Who wants to know?!
I loved that show so much.
Booster Gold is actually piloting The Bug on the box's rear photos.
I've seen all of the new Super Powers stuff at Walmart except for the Bug. I had no idea the skull was so colorful, the package makes it look all silver or clear.
I've known Toy Otter since the 90s. Watch out for the evil Hyrax!
Todd McFarlane's the man. He knows how to run a business and he's not greedy. His action figure way of doing business is a lot like his comics. I may regret saying this but, every month I go to my comic shop to get my Spawn comics, the manager always seems baffled and shocked that I'm still paying $2.99 for my comics while Batman and Spider-Man collectors are paying a lot more. (Unless it's a first or annual issue that's twice as thick) And then they're $5.99 but, McFarlane is about keeping his fans happy. "They take care of me and I take care of them". He's a Canadian in every sense so no wonder you're digging it so much, McFarlane speaks everyone's language
The toe articulation really lets those Savage Crucible figures down. They can’t stand up!
I was a big fan of the older Superpowers and have been really into the new Mcfarlane one's.
That blue beetle bug is fantastic.
The blue & gray yellow oval Batman released last year has a new mold that is very vintage inspired. the manga Batman is reusing the first release Hush body.
Wow, these Savage Crucible figures look amazing! I specially love the fact that they kinda look like the Snake men from the 200x show!
I am collecting the Super Powers line, and is is getting better and better, this wave 7 was the best of all, including the repaints,.like the golden Superman you missed. As I did have this line as a kid, released by Estrela here in Brazil, I am loving have this continuation, so many years after.
And yes, the Brainiac ship, as well as Wonder Woman's Invisible Jet were based upon vintage line designs that were never realised, so that is extra cool.
A title suggestion could be something like "Pixel Dan's Toy Spotlight" or "Let's Talk Toys."
I adore the Super Powers line so far! Also, if you don’t have all the figures and want an improved Batman, I’d highly recommend the ones from waves 4 and 5, they’re *way* closer to the Kenner one than that Hush/Manga body type, and it comes in two variants, depending on the wave: 4’s a classic blue and grey version, and 5’s got a repaint that’s more based on the 1989 Tim Burton colorway
YES! We want more vehicles and playsets for the Super Powers from McFarlane!
The SKULL-SHIP is very cool.
Name for this series: Going to Back Then with Pixel Dan
The Savage Crucible figures look incredible. Myself, I've never been a fan of toe articulation. I'd be perfectly fine without it.
Love this new video format so much fun.. keep on with it
That Nin figure is glorious! I need it for my Dargon collection.
Awesome job dan with the review
The Skull Ship is inspired by a unreleased Skull Ship from the original line. 🖖💜👌
I love those Tick figures. And this weekly review format is fun, I'm all for it! I'm terrible with clever names, but if it ended up being "Saturday Toys’ Main Event" with Obsession by Animotion playing in the background, I wouldn't be upset 🤣
So, are we supposed to believe that Dan collects Super Powers?
Oh I've seen those new Mighty Max things on Instagram and was like "Wait- What???". Super Powers I've known about since the beginning but Wave 7 has been awesome with all the new characters and great vehicles. The Bug for Blue Beetle is an amazing toy especially for $30 dollars.
Oh and Longbox Heroes looks amazing, even better then that other Super Powers adjacent line "Power Stars".
Great video. Looking forward to the next one, and all the ones after that too.
The new Super Powers figures are absolutely my jam. I've skipped the vehicles though. That Blue Beetle and Brainiac are musts for me. So is the upcoming Booster Gold. I missed the exclusive 90s version of Brainiac though...shame it's just on Todd's website. I can never find them though! My Wal-Marts have the 2nd or 3rd wave clogging the pegs still. One of my Wal-Marts seemed to have stopped carrying them altogether...probably for that reason. Shame. I appreciate the Superboy love in the segue. Great reviews Dan!
Love it!! Didn't know much about any of these toys before this
I love it!!!
I hope Mcfarlane gives us a Super Powers Swamp Thing
I do like this format. I'm looking at Longbox Heroes a little more due to this.
I thought of you when it came to the exlcusive Skull Ship. I thought it was vac metal. Much to my surprise, it wasn't. It's purple metallic paint (very Skeletor) with some cell shading. Still cool, but I thought they went one step further.
series 2 and series 3 mighty max figures had a lot more detail to them, those mighty hat fit right in!
Great video!
That Superpowers Brainiac Vehicle would make a good Vehicle for Hordak.
Love this. Call it In the Mix with Pixel Dan where you give us of a taste of a variety of things.
Love this concept Dan love the retro McFarlane style figures & vehicles awesome 🤩
I ordered The 2 Tick action figures too, they are school just smaller scale than the 1995 line, I wish they could have done the figures like 6 inches and a thicker box for collectors.
How about "Fresh Picks" with Pixel Dan?
I dont collect Superpowers, but that Skull ship is a must have.
I hope McFarlane makes a classic Grayson's Robin and a classic Aquaman Super Powers figures.
Man I loved❤❤❤,also Iam allready enjoying the full wave vídeos
theres a new braniac with a beard and cape with a black and purple skull ship you might want to check out dont know if its an exclusive or not. i love all these lines but having to admire them from afar as uk doesnt appear to be getting them
Loved it.
You can usually find the McFarlane vehicles from last wave on clearance at WM $5-10
I got a couple Savage Crucible figures from the Kickstarter to try them out, and I really like them! I had the same issue with their ability to stand, especially with the Lemurian Savage. But they seem to be ok, I'm kinda using their tails to balance them. I put them with my AWOK figures, I actually put some AWOK armor on one of them and it looks great!
These look fantastic awseome vid 👍
7 inch articulated versus 5 inch and 3.75 action figures keep it vintage ❤
I wish we could get a batman with open hands.
Awesome review I got all but one from wave 1 from Savage Crucible and i also got that Tick figure
When are you reviewing Sla'ker?
Some really fun figures in all these lines. The Super Powers vehicles are brilliant.
Mighty Max back kinda, GIVE ME MIGHTY MAX
I got my Savage Crucible figures in just last week. I'm glad I ordered more of them off BBTS, cause I really like how they turned out. The sculpting and paint is beautiful. My only issue is the toe hinges being a bit loose, making them hard to stand. But that's fairly minor, all things considered.
This is an awesome style of video! For the name though... you have Toysplosion and that's an awesome name. This almost feels like a diet Toysplosion, so maybe instead of toy+explosion, try to find a less intense synonym for explosion you feel like works? I dunno, just throwing it out there!
Hi Dan I enjoyed video lots of info thanks I actually dig that manga BM
Dig it!!!
Pixal Dan's Toy Box, or Toy chest (like Duncan's Toy Chest from Home Alone 2 lost in New York) might be good names, what about off the peg ? might not be good if the toys featured are online only , regardless it's a great new format/show.
Yesterday I was at work I saw wave two of turtles of grayskull and I also saw two cartoon collection trap jaw and teela and From master verse new eternia figures and I also saw that Batman as well at Walmart
I wish they made a vintage superpowers brainiac he needs to be a silver robot the vintage superpowers had
Not-Mighty Max'es knife/dagger is actually made out of the missing tooth of the monster hat. That's neat.
And that Hunting Rudolph Snow set looks to be a Christmas edition of the Blood Antlers set.
I think there are some mistakes or inconsistencies on the packaging. Rudolph's says "Hunting Rudolph Snow" on the front but "Hunts Rudolph Snow" on the back.
And the other sets are called "Quantum RealN" and I guess it should say realM but maybe it's some kind of inside joke.
Mighty Max! 🤩
Savage Crucible has a nice look. Bizarrely 7 over six matters some. I would like to see Crucible at 1/6.The designs are great. I like Mondo and Mezco, but tend to buy the former more. I like the Super Powers line. Anyone into Star Ace's megafauna? Smilodon, etc.? If you have experience with those let me know.
"Saturday Morning Treasures"
21:16 look closely at pictures of the cockpit on the back of the box😎
I knew, and I luuuuv it
I am trying to collect vintage mighty Max. So this is exciting.😁
SPOOOOON!!!!
Hey Pixel Dan coming out this September they are doing a full comic book series on the turtles of greyskull story line
Amazing 😻 Tick
The other Dan in the photo booth
Doom Zones, Horror Heads, Battle Warriors, I think the Shrunken Heads had a hair tuft on the heads and the "mega" playsets.
I had a few of them when I was younger. There were even monster heads that had the monster as part of the head itself!
I'm hoping Mattel and Bluebird will release Mighty Max in the future.
No Pixel Dan, i did NOT know they were 😮
just discovered the mcfarlane super powers series thanks to this channel. unfortunately seems most of the earlier waves are out of stock at reputable retailers. is there any way to get them now other than aftermarket sites?
Oh my gosh new mighty max 🤗
Dan have you checked out the Trick or Treat Toxie yet?, also they have just announced Dr Killemoff for preorder
The Tick figures and the Mighty Max ones are amazing but the Super Powers Batman Manga is my favorite because is based of the Jiro Kuwata manga series released in the 60's in Japan thanks to the popularity of the Batman 66 TV show.
It does baffle me that Mattel is going so hard on Polly pocket, but we have heard nothing in mighty max.
Keep up the great work dan do you do gundam related video's
this blue beetle SP wave has been the best by far. they won me with Ted and the Bug alone, everything else was icing on the cake. my only gripe is that batman. I thought it was a brilliant choice of a batman variant to include but that mold is awful and really shows its age. Ive thought about it from the start and in my honest opinion that batman mold would work best for a Composite Superman or even a Batzarro.
I have the Blue Beetle popcorn bucket ships (both Cinemark and AMC)....ill probably pass on this Superpowers one.
How are you Pixel Dan? Excellent Toys Reviewing Friend! Entertaining and very Informative! Thank you Sharing! 🤩👌👏👍👍
I would love them to do 6 inch Mighty Max cartoon characters, as far as my knowledge goes they didn't do a line that wasn't a polly pocket style Mighty Max, other than the PVCs
Those Savage Crucible figures look amazing. 😲 They're like a more brutal, primal Mythic Legions, and I'm already falling in love with those (haven't picked any up yet, though), so Savage Crucible is another huge temptation.
I think I commented before when you reviewed the beginning of the McFarlane Super Powers line, but I really hope that they bring out some other female DC superheroes (and supervilains) besides Wonder Woman that were completely missing from the vintage line. I specifically want Batgirl (Barbara Gordon), my all-time favorite superhero. It always bugged me that only WW was represented in the vintage line.
I was disappointed with the Batmobile not being like the vintage one that I had and only one Batman figure to go with it, no vintage Robin. If they do the Batmobile and the figures like the originals, I will get them to collect.
What's new with toys? Would be a good title.
I apologize if someone put a lot of work into the Mighty Hat toys, but everything about the packaging screams AI.
I love Mighty Max!
Timestamps in the future please.
Only you and Robo do unboxings and reviews with proper editing. Everyone else just livestreams. Like guys, you’re monetising unpacking your shopping to offset their cost and you want me to put up with you giving shoutouts, rambling for hours and not talking about the figures ‘cause you can’t remember if this is the figure you got for free so you need to say you like it…
Why didnt the Tick... I mean Barry come with his shield?
I questioned that on Instagram. Apparently, it didn't cost out. But they want to do a big accessory pack, so it's a possibility.
And here I am still waiting for a dinoriders reboot -_-
Yes! Loved Dino riders
@@blobafettle9355 I feel less alone on this one lmao
What’s up dan
Great video. Thank you for being one of those "ridiculous" people who pronounce manga correctly. It's greatly appreciated by this neurodivergent fan.
I rmeber I watched u when u did Tmnt toys
I still do!
@@Pixel-danwat rlly
I'm An Action Figures Collector Are You An Action Figures Collector As Well???
Yeah he is & we are all are some of us are out of box collector & some of us are in the box collector
Longbox heroes are over priced.
I love your passion and excitement, but I have absolutely no interest in these toys
I hope that your gonna promote Madd Hatters flip-or when it comes out like this BS figure that doesn't even look as good as flip-or
I just got a Shredder for the Turtles of Greyskull line, just wonderin if it's just mine. but his left hand has lil baby fingers..
