This video is the thing I use to show you off to people. I say LOOK AT THIS ARTISTIC PIECE, and FOR SILENT HILL 2. I explain to people it really shows what this man's dedication is for the game, which elevates into beyond status in a positive way. This attracts people to the game, and yourself. And then the piano experience is showed clearly here. This is no amateur and the audio isn't bleeding our ears like some other players. I really enjoy this video as it feels like you've matured a ton from this kind of experience, and you give us something to experience like this. :)
I don't think I've ever heard someone attempt a cover of White Noiz, and I didn't even know how one could replicate its somber, sustained notes without digital music, but here you are, capturing the song's dismal spirit exactly.
Thank you for deciding not to ax this one. Out of all your videos, this is most certainly the one I come back to the most. Probably because Silent Hill 2 is such a major influence on me creatively. Whatever you may have been unsatisfied with, I think you can be satisfied with the fact that so many people enjoy and appreciate what you did. I do think you captured the heart of SH2, evident by how impassioned this video was made; even if it isn't what you'd do now. And I do think you should be proud of that. Thanks again, verde. You'll remain an inspiration - in and out.
Thank you for reuploading this. I understand it can be hard to go back to some of your own old work that you look at now and go "I'd never do this now", but at the same time, I think that's true for the entire artistic process. If you don't look back on old work and feel that way to SOME extent, you haven't grown. Anyway, thanks again, I really adore this work.
It took me a long time to get back to you, but I wanted to say I really appreciate this personal comment. It means a lot to me. Thank you very much for sharing this with me.
This was the first time viewing this work, so thank you for re-uploading. Brilliant. Life-changing. Absolutely timely and succinct. Dramatic, rewarding, a performance that brought music to action in a way no other cover does.
Thank you for commenting on it, and for the very supportive comment. I'm happy to hear this, because, to be honest, in hindsight I feel like this is one of those videos that I probably should not have made, and I've had doubts whether it was right to reupload it. On the other hand, I have heard from several people who connected to it on a personal level, and I am grateful for knowing that this is the case, and as long as that is so, I'll at least feel at peace with knowing that this is still online. Thanks for taking the time.
Thank you very much! This video was really personal back then and I'm happy to hear people still get something out of it today. Nowadays I would probably not have made this video in the same way and that's why I'm grateful to know people still actually care about it.
Great video. But instead of the gun you should have put a small AM radio on the piano and from time to time had some static come through. Then you pull out the gun knowing a deformed creature was nearby. Also have a flashlight by the radio to really sell it. I do like the sirens blarring and the grainy video footage.
Sad because that was the song which I found this channel with, hands down the best version on a piano of anyone who's done it. Edit: He put it back :).
Silent Hill 2 was just so damn good

That pianissimo epilogue was amazing, I’ve learned it myself but one way more simple than that.
