The trading card set idea is great for a multi-year long celebration. 2025 would be the 35th anniversary of series 1, they could re-issue some figures and release around 20 figures in the series 1 theme trading card box , then for 2026 release another 20 in a Series 2 themed box, 2027 in the Series 3 style box, and so on. I believe there were 5 series in total. Some characters/figures you can double dip in every other set and would sell for sure regardless: Spider-Man, Venom, Wolverine, Cap., etc. just change the paint scheme accordingly and/or base body, maybe remold some heads and that would justify their inclusions. Wolverine for instance has the brown/orange costume in Series 1 and 2, it would just be a matter of choosing which set to include him on. As of Series 3 he has the yellow/blue tiger stripe suit so again it would just be a matter of choosing what year to include him in.
Mandarin... I dunno. I feel like there may be some Marvel/Disney mandate against make figures of the comic version. Years ago, concept art leaked for a miniature of Mandarin during the first kickstarter for the Marvel United board game. But the figure was never made (and they've had two more Marvel United kickstarters since them). Over the years they've done miniatures of some pretty obscure villains. Air Walker, Marrow, Morlun... even a Spot for you Scott. But no Mandarin.
I think I need the 1991 set of cards now... I have 92 and 93. Yep those are my era. Can't bring myself to accept 6" scale because of my large MOTU collection though!
I have all the 90's base card sets. I loved the art, especially set 1 and 2. Had a good friend that sold me set III and IV for $5. V I got from a cousin for free and still have that sealed. I bought about half the chase cards in the early 2000s, no real interest in being a true completionist. People tell me, omg those are so expensive and I'm like... okay. I guess. I have no clue.
Captain Britain 4:26 "Our perfect Captain Britain in 1991 outfit, Boom! check it off" While clearly show the card and the action figure are wearing completely different outfits.

This is exactly how I've been collecting Marvel Legends. Love the Impel cards. Still have a bunch of those holograms.

23:00 I have that Dark Phoenix figure and I like it very much. I ordered mine through Target.
Doc Ock and Red skull in suites seems like such an easy figure to make and sell.
The 1990 set got me into it.
The Pepsi cards were very popular down here in South America. Love them then and now, I think most of those were already made.

The Captain Britain on the trading card is wearing a different costume than the action figure shown in the Excalibur 3 pack.

There is a classic nebula from the 2014 comic con infinity gauntlet set. It's her , death, Eros and thanos. It's So cool. Love nebula.
Yeah but they are 4 inches, not marvel legends. I do have that set!
There were Skybox marvel cards but that's all I remember.
Series 1 and 2 were Impel, Skybox took over with series 3
