First look: The new BMW X3 (G45) revealed in detail including the M50

- UPDATE The PHEV version gets an official electric range of up to 90 kilometres.
The covers have come off the new BMW X3. The fourth-generation X3 SUV gets daring new looks on the outside hide a completely redesigned interior reflecting a stronger focus on sustainability than before to reduce the car’s carbon footprint.
That’s backed up by an improvement in efficiency across the board leading to lower carbon emissions and lower pricing on the Irish market. Unlike other recently updated BMWs, a diesel-engined X3 will still be offered, though a redeveloped plug-in hybrid model represents the entry point to the range in Ireland thanks to its ultra-low CO2 rating.

Looks good overall, there are some design cues clearly taken from the IX. Why have they changed the iconic front grill? Everyone associates it with BMW. This one is trying to do something with a formula that wasn’t broken and looks shite as a result. Rear lights look like aftermarket additions to me. Also I don’t like the light up surrounding of the grill I think it needlessly cheapens a premium product.
They gonna fit a picture of Mona Lisa in that grill for the next generation.😂
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
WTF did they do to the car the grill looks like an after thought taken from 1 series.
Great review, very natural. But... Oh, nein, what have they done with that grill 😢
Thanks for watching!
Was trying to work out why it looks so different (and better, IMHO); 0:53 It's the removal of those awful plastic wheel arches. Hooray for that. The only negative is the removal of separate HVAC controls.
Nice. Full adas or not?
Oh wow 😮 I LOVE ❤️ IT! Is this really what it’s going to look like ? Or is this info unofficial?
This is it! The official finished article!
Nice!
Thanks!
that interior looks soooo cheap. they just added some led lights all over the place so that you would forget about the cheap cost cutting interior.
That front Grille is still an sye sore
Better on the M50 though
So even the Xdrive + M sport package doesn’t get visible exhaust?
Did you even watch the video?
@@zoe7657 I’m looking for clarification. Seems like a step back compared to the current X3.
We were told by BMW at the video shoot that the M50 is the only one getting visible exhaust outlets. ^ Shane
@@CompletecarIe Thank you. I looked at the UK configurator since it’s not available in the US yet and I see that there are no visible exhausts on the lower end models. Odd choice imo.
German cars are getting hammered by the Asian brands with so much technology that is standard giving great value. If they do not start giving customers more value they are going to start discontinuing certain models.
Fabric dash??! I had that on a rental Chevy Malibu. Cheapest crap ever..this is no longer luxury.
I can’t get over the rear 😢 it looks a Buick . So they remove comfort access from rear doors . Remove ambient lighting completely from rear doors . Did you notice any ambient lighting in the door pockets ? And most importantly plastic airbag cover and the most important part . Fabric and plastic on door tops and dashboard really bmw 😢😢 wth are you thinking people will pay you luxury car price for Chinese plastic
All recycled materials but still the price won’t decrease
Indeed
It's not a looker. But no current BMW is. Bring back Chris Bangle. I'm surprised there's a diesel. They are disappearing from BMW at a rate of knots.
With the X3 being such a popular model it's not surprising to see so many engine options being made available.
Unlike many of the other commenters I an liking the exterior look of the 2025 X3… the interior is low quality and poorly designed and cheap material selection and lighting looks very Target store to me… I was strongly considering buying it but read today that it is being built in the USA and in the third world country of South Africa…. This is a definite non-starter for me… I want my BMW built in Germany.
It looks like it's been designed strictly for women, no more aggressive as BMW used to be in the past.
For Chinese women more likely.
LOL
German car is dead
RIP
They turned a beautiful swan into a ugly duckling.
Not a fan?
LQQK's Over done as in NOT nice looking!...Too Many LARGE Black holes in the Front Fascia
looks like the one just for soccer moms
Totally, though there's a broad spectrum of people that buy the X3, it's a huge seller for BMW.
The m50 looks great and the base model is hideous
The M50 will always look nicer.
These designers are CRAP... Trying so hard to dumb down the design. The fact that the interior guy says less buttons are better because of looks* and calls the storage a darn Jewelry Box... are you serious.. he should be fired.
This looks like a toyota.
Hhhhh
Where?
No Hyndai interier
If you took the BMW logo off and put a KIA logo on it no one would be the wiser… trashy plastic and flashy lighting… not refined and classy at all.
The European version gets 453hp.
It looks like the new x2 I don’t like it.
Have you seen our X2 video? ua-cam.com/video/GQUszrR3M3s/v-deo.html
Is there a single UA-cam channel that is honest with it's audience and not scared to admit that this design is just cheap? seats from recycled materials for something like 60K EUR, seriously? and if you want anything premium then add another 2-3K? ugly and distracting flashy lights all over the cockpit, almost no normal physical buttons and overall cheap chinese feeling altogether sending a sort of a message that BMW is offering itself on a global market to be acquired by a chinese company like Volvo did. would be too pity to lose a good German brand
I can’t agree. The folks at complete car constantly criticise BMW and all others when needed, they aren’t yes men. The fact that they didn’t here means they like the design as they kept saying. Same with every other review so far for this car. If they are all similar then it must be true. Yes it’s a lot of money but BMW is a premium brand, it’s a customisable car from new so you have to pay for that the same as any other premium brand. If you don’t want to pay for the premium there are plenty of options out there but if you want premium then open the wallet-that’s the same for everything.
@@jeffreylinehan1613 here how it works: a car brand invites bloggers for a review, if bloggers start spitting out their honest opinion and compare a car with chinese alternatives which are of the same design but 50-60% cheaper, those bloggers will never be invited again. Bloggers understand that and they like to be amongst those who are invited for pre-release reviews, hence they start using such words "very fresh", "controversial but bold design", "minimalistic and clear lines". What you should read behind such statements is "we understand that design sucks, but honesty will do us no good". And the badge of a premium brand is something what a company develops for decades, they can loose it in a matter of few years what is basically happening with BMW now
No, no, and no...
That's a no then?
They ruined it from outside the older generation much better but the interior looks nice 👌, but from outside that’s rear end 🤮 why are cars getting more ugly 😂😂
BMW has lost its mind. What the heck is this? In my opinion, I just heard a whole bunch of BS and no true response from BMW. And the inside, what is this? Crap and cheap design all the way. And, what is with the interior lighting system? It feels like a half-ass circus lighting!!! All of these new design languages make Chris Bangel's design heavenly. Take the BMW logo out, and then see what people have to say. Cheap Toyota or Kia design.
10:57 😂😩🤣
🐵🤕😶🌫️
👎👎👎
Not best selling now "Everything outside looks boring and unexciting. I find Chinese cars have better design and modern body language."
And lots of standard equipment too.
Nice!
Very!
