Over 17,000 US Soldiers are buried here. I never knew the US had such a big role to play in the Philippines during World War 2.
Goes to show how much I remembered from US history class. It is also a very, very peaceful part of Manila. If you want to go somewhere green to escape the craziness of the city, this is the place to go.

I cannot wait to go there! :-) As an American, and living in the Philippines for 7 years now I think this is incredible! What an amazing and incredible place! :-) THANK YOU SO MUCH for remembering our men/women and the Philippines men/women that gave their lives for their countries during the war.
I have so much respect for you Tom as a vlogger (same goes to Kyle Kulas Jenner and Finn). You guys come across as sincere in your appreciation of our country. The same can not be said of some other vloggers who make suckers out of thousands of my countrymen eager to hear anything positive about the country and our people. Some other vloggers make vlogs for the sake of viewership and subscription (and consequently earn from them) without much regard for quality of content, reducing some of their vlogs into mere clickbaits. For now, they get away with it but as viewers get wiser and more discriminating, their days are numbered. Cheers!
You do know that those Filipinos were American nationals right!? The Philippines were US territory during the war. They were given independence after the war, July 4th 1946
Philippine Military Is Brebe!
Read about the Philippine-American War.
Philippines under commonwealth governments of United States before WW2, but because of devastation of our country particularly Manila after WW2 which consider Paris of asia, our President Manuel Quezon push Philippines independence from USA .. filipinos during American colonization was american citizens but after liberation all filipinos lifted their american citizenship by US government!
You millenials should find a left over veteran of WWII and talk to them. I hope they taught you that the Philippines were a U.S. colony at the beginning of the war. We freely granted them their independence upon helping liberate them at the end of the war. Once reason we have a special relationship with that country. My Dad was there. His stories of storming New Bilabet prison and liberating the prisoners there were quite interesting.
