I've watched this battle so many times, and I'd never really considered the beat change in Beatness's 2nd Round and the crowd's energy. I totally agree though that he had a couple of "solid" rounds, but they weren't energizing the crowd like SoSo's rounds. One of the things I love about SoSo is his confidence to perform music that doesn't confirm to traditional song structure. The theory is certainly there, but he performs comfortably at the extremes and makes it work so well in a way that is signature to him. Based on your reaction, I think the Bizkit vs Robin GBB 2021 Quarter Final will be really enjoyable. Both of them are absolute geniuses when it comes to composition, structure, musicality, and crowd connection, and were very well-matched in this battle, yet approached it in VERY different ways.
