Nice Revolvers my favorites are the blued S&W 586 and the Colt Python but I own the stainless versions of the Python and 686 but I have a Ruger GP 100 in blued finish lol
And I’ve always been you’d have to be stupid to buy the colt, the 586 is smooth and as accurate as it can get, but that finish work you pointed out, I stand corrected.
While there is no comparison in finish between the two, you said it in your video: "Twice the price!" I like Colts, but when you compare value of purchase, in my opinion, S&W wins, hands down...
I can agree to some extent on value for the dollar but some folks are not afraid to spend money on quality. Anyway thanks for watching. I like them both!
I do as well. To me the Python was marketed to a different buyer than the S&W. IMO: The real comparison is between the 586/686 & the GP100. Price point & quality of assembly is closer to one another. Either way you have some beautiful revolvers! @@TerryBenton
You are kind of comparing apples to oranges. The colt Rival to the 586/686 would be the Colt model 27 and 28 Hwy patrol. While the 586 and 28 is of different frame size. You would compare them because they are working class revolvers at a more comparable price.
in germany because of the law we are not alllowed to have more than 2 handguns thats why most of the people go for smith because its reliabel out of the box ( we dont have much gun smiths here) colts even though they looks very nice are not so popular beause very expansive and not reliabel ( it is always somthing like french cars ) korth costs only 300-500 euros more than colt python. so in germany we have either german korth or 686 smith ( personaly i prefere the 586) best revolver ever in my opinion but the 4 inch python is very very nice.
Your S&W model 586 is gorgeous. Full under lug and the blue finish is absolutely gorgeous. Very accurate pistol and will never let you down.
I do agree it is a good looking gun. I like blue finishes. Thank you for watching
👍 I own a S&W 686 and it is a excellent revolver ,but I must admit the Pythons are finished better.
They are both good guns. The python is by far a better finished gun

That is awesome
Those are some beautiful guns; especially the Pythons.
Thank you for watching
Beautiful pistols all of them but my favorite is the 1970 4 inch python 🐍 it’s stunning
Thank you. A blue python never looks bad
The blued python has the smoothest action of almost any revolver straight out of the box hands down ! PERIOD...
Any python has the smoothest action right out of the box. The blue ones just have the smoothest looks to match its action.
They all look great!
Thank you.
It’s prob because the first revolver I saw and purchased was the 586 but I absolutely love its looks.
The 586 is a nice Revolver
Yep, I love all of them lol🙂👍
There is an argument for each one of them to be my favorite. Lol. Thanks for watching
Royal Blue Python is not a gun. It is the piecest piece of art.
They are gorgeous
That is a gorgeous set of pistols
Thank you

The 586 is still a great gun. Thr colt has alot more attention paid to detail.in finish work. Thank you for watching
Ive got the 4in. 586 and the 4in. Blued Python. I call them Faust and Mephisto
Lol. Great name. Thanks for watching
10.2.23. I’ve owned both Stainless makes & models, I prefer the Python 🐍, however I regret selling my 686 no dash 😢
The 686 is am awesome gun. They are ALOT more affordable than the old pythons. Look around and get another one!

The model 27/28 is alot bigger frame. The python I frame is thr same size as the 586/686. Price is not in the comparison because that is not fair
finish ok, but reliability?
Reliability is top notch on any of these revolvers. Actually, most revolvers in general
Please check for safe next time and don’t flag your finger ty
What?
