San Genesio Atesino (Jenesien in German) is an Italian town of 3 098 inhabitants in the autonomous province of Bolzano in Trentino-Alto Adige is one of the most beautiful italian villages.
Bordered to the east by the Val Sarentino with the Talvera and to the west by the Valle dell'Adige, it is located on the Salto plateau (Salten) overlooking Bolzano to the north, to which it is connected both with a provincial road and with the San Genesio cable car, which leads from Bolzano to S. Genesio in a quarter of an hour.
