Oregon Crabbing - underwater Gopro video

- The best time to go crabbing in Oregon is from August until December. This video was made to help answer questions people ask me about everything crabbing. I'll go over what bait and gear you would need. I hope these tips help.

Other tips: I usually soak my pots for about 1 hour to 1.5 hours. Longer if you like.
Incoming high tide is best, and high slack is preferred. Crabbing is good all along the Oregon coast, so I can't say one spot is better than another. However, the closer to the mouth is better, I find. But it can get rough near the ocean. - Спорт

I used canned tuna fish as bait. It leaves a nice oil slick that draws the crabs in. If I can get tuna carcasses and freeze them up. I use those instead of canned tuna. And I've never had a problem with seals going after my bait if I've used tuna.

I want your videos all the time especially your crab videos, I seen on UA-cam that you rub anchovy rub on the chicken you will catch a lot of crabs I seen it on the video just yesterday you should try that out and he only took for less than an hour, you doing a very good job putting out those videos and it's very affirmative.
You can learn a lot fishing and crabbing from you.
I'll have to try that out sometimes.

One day i'm going to do a vlog with crabbing and fishing..i loved this adventure.
I found my self being born in Eugene Oregon in 1952 and right away I wanted to go fishing and then crabing.. If you have not ever done it or are a novice to crabing this guys is right.. although a little wd-40 works well when added to the chicken.. But I never said that.. Well done my man.. now I want to go to the coast.. take note to how he keeps his finger on the line to feel the hits.. Also seal are out of season... go ducks!

here’s a tip! if u don’t want seals coming to mess up ur trap use rotten fish seals won’t like it but crabs love it for some reason

Best bait I’ve seen regularly is tuna heads. You can also use canned tuna, just poke holes in the can. Chicken works good, but does chicken live in the ocean?
