I LOVE this place! After all these years, it looks pretty much the same. I'm almost 60, and I'm glad I grew up eating this wonderful pizza. I even got in trouble for my habit of stopping off here on my way home from school. My mother noticed my appetite was not what it should be, and then she found out why- I was eating here. She forbade me from doing that, but I got in trouble one day when she smelled the garlic on my breath. BUSTED big time!
@@milaniamilani5737 The pain is lowkey the best part, that's how good this pizza is. It's definitely one of or if not my favorite pizza place. I think a slice is 3.25 now, but you get what you pay for.

The best pizza ever. Ive lived in Alaska for 18yrs but when i go home it's the first thing i must eat. And when i walk in the owners say Alaska you come back i say always. Hands down the best pizza ever
Was born on 168th Place across from police station and Mays Dept store. Moved to Hollis at 8 and ate Gabby's Pizza on Hillside Ave and 204th St. Awesome pizza. It's the first thing I eat when I come back to visit and second is Chinese Food. Live in Cali and pizza and Chinese is the BEST in Queens, NY🙂

I remember when they opened. My Mom took me and I could barely see over the counter. Years later coming home from the military, I see some of the same gentlemen, and tell them how much their pizza has meant to me. I saw they had opened a second shop by Parsons Blvd, which I'd go to because the lines weren't as long. Some friends I was with in the military who were from Queens, we all raved about the pizza. I went to Jamaica High and regularly got a slice and a meatball sub before coming home. Sometimes my Mom would ask me to bring extra slices home, when I went.

I'm proud to be the 200th thumbs up. I grew up eating this, and I have also traveled from coast-to-coast, and this is the BEST PIZZA EVER. I'm 61 years old, and I distinctly remember when it went up to 50 cents per slice. I got in trouble with my mom for stopping off here on my way home from school and pigging out (2 slices with a Pepsi) because it spoiled my appetite for dinner! So what? I have no regrets. I live in Cali now, but a trip to New York isn't complete unless I stop here. This place is a monumental benchmark for great pizza! I'm so glad it's still around.
The best pizza in NYC! I love that they have never changed the mint green decor. I started eating there when I was in elementary school over 50 years ago. I would take the Q4 to the Ave (Back then we called it by its full name though) for "a plain slice and a fruit punch." I no longer live in NYC but whenever I return I MUST stop there for a slice.
As a little girl my dad would take me to this awesome place. There is no pizza like it anywhere and I mean anywhere. Dad would instruct me to fold my pizza. The cheese, sauce and olive oil was sublime. I'd always drink root beer soda with it. I can't get this delicious pizza here in Georgia. If I still lived in NYC I would definitely eat there frequently. My fondest memories were formed at Margherita's Pizza on Jamaica Avenue.
It's been around for so many years... can remember going there after going to those movie theaters that used to be on the Ave (Valencia and the other one directly across). It's certainly the best parlor pizza around to this day- IT'S A JAMAICA QUEENS THANG !!!!!
I use to live in Queens, I moved to Aiken SC nothing like your pizza, every time I go to Queens I get me a couple of slices, last year I got a whole Pie, froze it and took it back with me on the plane to SC,don't judge me, now next they need to bring white castles them I'm set, HOLLA!!

Thank you Brother for this video it made me hungry and miss home💫💯. I haven't been home since 2018 , but trust me when I get back up there I'm going there !!!!!
I always thought the pizza shop next to the bus terminal across from the Coliseum Mall was the best. But I haven't lived there since the late 90's. So maybe things changed.
margheritas no doubt about it is the best in the area..gabys on hillside is second to me (what irks me about gabys is that extra tomatoey taste the be having )...from the bx but jamaica is my 2nd home.good vid ✌
Margheritas is definitely the spot, best in queens. Im telling you tho, if you want good pizza in the bx, go to Yankees JZ on Westchester Ave and Stratford Ave. Pay attention though because right down the block is a "New Yankees Pizza" which tastes like shit, you'll know its the real one cause the sign says "Real Italian Pizza" and they have a mini arcade in the back. It's not Margherita, but its the best in the BX and my second favorite pizza place.
Yo my FAVORITE pizza spot in queens no lie! They’re always packed cause their pizza taste the way it’s supposed to! Taste perfect ugh I can taste it now!!🤤 I’m salivating looking at you eat I can taste it omg
For real. During my last trip to NY from GA I left my hotel up the block from the new World Trade Center site and took an Uber from Manhattan to Jamaica Ave to get me some pizza.
thank you I have been out of York for 23 years and have not had a great slice in 23 years my favorite place went out of business last year Ray Bari 56 and 3rd so I need a replacement shop I'll check it out looks great New York in my travels around the country has the best pizza in then Boston then Connecticut nowhere else
Man I was there when I was a kid I lived on the Ave by 144st on the second floor. What's missing is the overhead J train that made it better. Iam in Florida right now but when I get back I'll go there.
I would say Margherita is tops along with 2 other Queens Pizzerias - that being Amore and Lucia - both in Flushing,, Lucia's in particular is a CARBON COPY of Margherita's and is on Roosevelt Ave in the heart of downtown Flushing..
Lucia's is similar to Margherita, but the sauce is way sweeter, too sweer actually, and the crust flavor is different. . . Lucia is very good for the area though, Amore is incredible but I haven't been there in ages, been dying to go back.

Omg looks fabulous!
My favorite pizza in the world. No other slice can compare.
I've burned the roof of my mouth countless times impatiently taking that first bite as it comes out piping hot. I also dug their meatball heros.
Please stop burning your mouth with-hot cheese pizza

Wow! I grew up in Queens and left in 2000. Happy to see they are still there and are still the #1 pizza spot.
Every time I go back to NYC... I make sure I stop at Margherita Pizza shop.
