Rich. Thank you for the shout out. I have a lawn service here in California. And switching to Electric has been an interesting Adventure. Setting up the solar panel in my trailer, the overnight charging station, and learning how one fuel is different than the other.
Too bad we are switching over to expensive power sources like wind and solar...

I had a cat that wasn't pooping. The vet did an ultrasound and didn't find anything, so they wanted to perform exploratory surgery. I thought the cat was constipated, so I suggested they give the cat an enema. They said that was risky. I replied, "More than surgery?" they gave the cat the enema. It crapped and was fine. It lived another 10 years.
*Problem is it kept pooping on my front lot !*

Samcrac just got himself a Corvette to, so the logical thing to do is to drop off the engine and other parts at his farm, at midnight. don't forget the timing belt he might be able to use that.

My nephew had a mouse. Their cat bit the end off the tail of the mouse. It cost $65 for 2 stitches, 2 days later, the cat got the mouse. Most expensive snack ever for that cat.

I have an 88 Corvette that I need a new motor for, I would love to get this LT1 and I am in central Massachusetts. I rebuilt the clutch and transmission in my driveway in this car two years ago and ended up developing a pretty bad head gasket leak and it's burning lots of oil. I need a new motor to build my vette back into it's former glory and turn it into the racecar I've always wanted.

I really like that year and color of vette and I'm glad you're doing this project. To me, Youngblood, it signifies that you really have heart. I hope that you secretly really dig this model and color as I do. And, yes, that 10.1 inch screen seems as thought it really belongs. This was an absolutely excellent choice!!! Thus, your trailblazing may cause another run on C4's, also and, yes, this is another home run!!!

Nice to see a project forgotten....
In highschool I had a buddy with a C4 Corvette, same color but a bit older. A few friends were cruising our cars up the mountain, Z32 300zx, NA Miata 1.8. The first hairpin I hear a grinding noise behind my 300zx, it was the exhaust on the Corvette that had fallen half way off and was dragging behind him. Seeing the rust all over the back of your C4 brought back the memory of wrapping wire around the exhaust to make up for the non existent hangers and broken welds.
At 13:47 I was just giggling at the funny jokes and then damn near jumped out of my seat, you got me good RIch.

I had a manual trans 94 C4 7 years ago...when I was 27. I didn't even own a pair of new balances and I had fiber optic internet! I must be crazy...but I miss that car a lot. One thing that annoyed me though was the chassis twist with the hard top removed - maybe you can address that with a convertible X brace or something similar.

We have a couple of landscapers who went all-electric in our area and it's so nice and quiet with no fumes. But they still use Roundup.

@@dfro7159 I mean, it works. There's just all the other issues - like the high cancer rates among those that use it, impact on bees, etc.
@@compwiz101 modern farming requires the use of roundup. Without it we would see grain yields drop due to the reversion to “summer fallow” technics. Also bees are dying from pesticide usage not herbicide…

Anyways, short version: I don't have any good answers for what to replace it with, though others certainly are trying.
Some studies are suggesting the inert ingredients in roundup (and others) might be what kills bees upon exposure (Surfactants, etc.)
Regarding cancer in humans - Monsanto has had to settle and/or lost a number of lawsuits over the last few years which leaves me thinking there may have been at least *some* convincing evidence in those cases to suggest it's harmful in the long term to people that handle it regularly.

As an animal owner, I would do anything if I knew that it wasn't a bandaid fix. Like put a pet through surgery if it was going to only buy 6 months . You have to think of the recovery time, for involved surgery that's like 2 months for a pet. So the bottom line, will the surgery solve the problem the cat is having indefinitely?

I get it. To restore balance in the Continuum, after gassifying a Tesla you had to electrify a Vette. A shame that 40th Anniv car is in such rough shape though.

Rich did you never watch TV in the 70s/80s? The solution to this problem is another cat that looks similar to Pan-Pan. Once your daughter figures out the swap-a-roo-ski, Pan-Pan will come back to life, your daughter says, “oh, Dad!”, and everyone laughs as the credits roll.

The LT1 is a beast. I have a 97 Z28 with 221,000 miles on it. The car has seen 160mph once a week. I have ran with c5 corvette’s. If you can stand replacing multiple opti sparks and water pumps it’s the best. Better then my LS2 in my Trailblazer ss. I’ve been through 2 motors due to oil pressure issues. My LT1 is still alive. Just saying!
You can still use small engines in California, they just won't sell any new ICE equipment.
I think the idea is to have it gradually swap over as the ICE equipment breaks down.
The fact that you use acronyms like ICE says a lot. People will lose their sources of income and California will truly be the land of the Haves and Have Nots. An agenda pushed by carpetbaggers.

I have no dog in this fight from way over here in Texas, I'm just stating what's going on, and what their outlooks are, based off of what other lawncare UA-camrs have been discussing with regards to the upcoming situation.
It's not like there is going to be a ban on their use, life will go on as normal, only now they will have to plan on using replaceable batteries packs instead of gas cans, as they slowly move over into using electrical equipment in the future.
Used equipment will still be up for grabs, as well as their replacement parts.
Electric has come a long way from only 10 years ago. The lack of maintenance and the far cheaper cost of operations are a huge boone to the operators and business owners.
Honestly, it's odd that they felt the need to implement the law in the first place, seeing how far electric has come, and with folks swapping over already.
Seems like Rich's cat buying skills are on par with his vette buying skills.

As a born in the 80s kid, these Vettes were awesome to see in action, especially the later LT4 variants. Fond memories going to airport runway autocrosses and seeing C4s, FD RX-7s, 300ZX TT, etc. all pitted against each other. Previous owner really ragged out what could have been a nice 40th anniversary (I think first year for LT1?) Glad to see Rich and the guys giving it a second, electric life!
Finally Rich does something useful and makes a Tesla jet. That's the real shit posting we're all here for.

You joke, but you don't think Elon isn't working in that in the back of his head, I'm sure he's said before he's working on it, but at the moment battery density isn't enough to make a viable battery powered commercial aircraft.

That Sony ES system... Extremely jealous.
I was with him until he said "3 year warranty" and I remembered the cr*p Sony put me through with their little SDM-M51 monitors. This monitors design was seriously flawed and would burn out a component after about 6 to 9 months of daily office use. Sony's answer was to keep exchanging them with identical refurbished units until the 3 year warranty expired, then say "Not our problem anymore". The company had 83 of these things, and within a year of the warranty running out, around 50 of those were dead and stuffed in a store room. The ones left were on the desks of people who predominantly worked from home. I went through my logs one day and found that for 83 monitors we'd had over 200 warranty replacements, and one monitor had been exchanged 8 times !
We moved over to using NEC monitors after that. They were cheaper, the picture was just as good, and they ALL still worked after 3 years.

@@HKR9000 I've come to the conclusion that several of Sony's departments are just trading on their old reputation these days. I personally wouldn't even spend someone else's money on a Sony TV, Laptop, or any other PC kit now.

I always get surprised with that high bills from the Vet, some people get for their pets. Always had dogs and cats from unknown crossbreeds, known as mutt. And they usually die or from old age or some fatal encounter with a car. Not from weird diseases.

Mutts are the best. They are so robust. We had two mutt boston terriers who lived to 14 years and ~8 months.

Finally some live footage work being done on camera.
My wife has collected a small army of cats (4). The newest decided one day to assert its dominance by shredding my orange cats right eyeball. I mean overall he seems fine.. he just can’t see out of one eye (I can only assume). I took him to vet when it first happened for eye drops and crap, and then tried taking him back to the vet to see if they could just scoop that bad boy out but apparently a orthopedic surgeon for a cat is necessary. That was the line.

im 90% sure they didnt have factory white wheels on the c4. most people who own c4s will know every feature and package that came with their car from the factory
IIRC the 89 or 90 anniversary edition had white wheels. I also think some of those white wheels may have filtered out to other variations over the years.
This is a '93 anniversary ruby red. It had special red center caps on the wheels. No white paint!
