      I want to set aside consistent time each week for my content. I think I’ve mixed up “consistent” with “same”. My schedule changes so sometimes I can’t do the same hours every day to work on my video or written content. I’m going to shift from trying to do the same hours each to doing the same number of hours each week. This video is a great reminder to work on process and systems! 🙏🏾

    Laurie, I've been following your videos for some months. After being fired from the company I worked for 17 years, a bitter divorce and trying to rebuild my career and my relationship with my children to me you are one of the MOST inspiring persons in cyber space. I am presently doing a Software Engineering bootcamp and trying to break into the industry. 5 years from now I'd too like to have my own business. I wanna be like you when I grow up. 😊 You go Sister!!! Keep up the great work. 🤜🏼

    Love the point you made about not focusing on the end result but rather just taking that simple step forward each day, to be better than who I was. Simple but so powerful.

    Life is not always a straightforward line, and we can learn to accept it and just adjust as we go along and systems can be just as flexible as the way we live🙌

    Thinking about who you want to be? What would that person do. Why is this goal important to you? What will achieving the goal allow you to do? Success leaves clues. Research. Set intention to act. Track your progress be flexible and adapt. Good video. Thanks

    I heard small steps forward taking on the big tasks first and eliminating the hardest stuff by asking if it will benefit the work force or asking for assistance by someone you can trust that has experience and you can make a trade off on work lists that you have knowledge of 😅

    Thank you Laurie for this awesome, insightful and motivational video! I do have a question, a lot of people spoke about "starting with why" and "know your why", but I tend to struggle with this! I just like Spanish, I am trying to learn Spanish, I don't have a strong why behind it and I don't have even a goal, I just like it. This might be the reason why I am not seeing much progress (maybe) but how come everyone know their why except for me! :D Learning Spanish is just an example, but this struggle applies to everything else in my life...Am I the only one who is struggling with this? Any tips?

    • @lauriexwang
      @lauriexwang  4 місяці тому +2

      Thank you for your kind words! It's okay to enjoy something just because you like it (because life is too short!). Not everything needs a profound "why."
      If you want more progress, try setting small goals, like having a conversation in Spanish or watching a movie without subtitles. Many people struggle with defining their "why," so you're not alone. Keep exploring and enjoying the journey. Sometimes the "why" will reveal itself along the way. Keep going, and don’t be too hard on yourself! 😊

    NOTES/ANNOTATIONS FOR ME:
    3:45 understand what the person who you want to be do? What would they do? (3:53 losing weight example)
    6:52 success leaves clues: 6:44 learn from others
