One Minute Manager - Ken Blanchard and Spencer Johnson But I just love reading books as I found them as my best companions and treasures to hold them forever!! Books give me lot of ideas, insights, and inputs more importantly the positive vibe!! I prefer the tagline - Read and Share which I do regularly to ensure that I don't forget what I read and also benefit others while sharing.
Thanks for sharing your top books! Love these and need to check out One Minute Manager as first time I've heard of it. You might also enjoy Essentialism by Greg McKeown given your interests. 🙌
@@lauriexwang Sounds great, will check that out soon. Laurie, am completely moved by Yr video on Conversational skills. I requested you for one connect with you for not more than 30mns but yet to hear from you on that, please
We're all different, we all need different input to open up our minds and hearts. This was about you, thank you for sharing, but to everyone else - don't judge a book's possible value to you by its value for someone else. Choose the book that draws your interest. It's for you. ❤
Love this, you're absolutely right, what resonates with one person might not resonate with another, and that’s the beauty of our individual journeys. We all find inspiration in different places, and it’s important to trust what draws us in personally. I appreciate your thoughtful reminder to follow our own path and choose what speaks to us. ❤️ Here is to more growh
Nice video. I would like to add one book that helped me a lot. It is called Behind the mask of money and it changed my perspective on wealth and money. Highly recommended.
I thought you or at least comments would have mentioned Atomic Habits. It's the one I've read multiple times and am planning to read it again. It has affected so many areas of my life! When I go back and read it, I'm like, "oh yeah, that's where I got that idea."
Hi Laurie, I was so happy to see you mention my favorite stoic Ryan Holiday. I listen to his podcasts and love his book. I've been really challenged on all fronts as of late but found solace in your voice and video. Thank you.
Ryan Holiday's work has a way of grounding us when things get tough, doesn’t it? It’s great that you’re finding strength in his teachings-and I’m honored that my content could be a part of that journey for you. Thank you 🙌
Self help books that have helped me: 1. atomic habits by James clear 2. 10x rule by grant Cardone 3. Sovereignty by Ryan Michler 4. compound effect by Darren hardy
Thank you for sharing your books. I loved compound effect too, it's one that changed my view about the small actions that add up to big results over time. ❤️
I'm really glad to hear that. I could pick the very popular ones but most of us probably already read it or heard of it, these are the ones that I came across which really opened my eyes 🙌
I came across your channel by 'accident,' but I absolutely love this video and all of your content in general. It’s truly inspirational and has been a great help and company when I wake up at 4 a.m., trying to figure out how to improve my life and help my family in the process. Thank you! and God bless you and your family 👍🫶🙏. P.S: Favourite books: - Quiet: The Power of Introverts in a World That Can't Stop Talking by Susan Cain - Bittersweet: How to Turn Sorrow Into Creativity, Beauty and Love by Susan Cain
I'm truly glad that the content has been helpful and inspiring for you, especially during those early morning hours of reflection. It's wonderful that you're so focused on improving life for yourself and your family-such a beautiful and meaningful goal. And thank you for sharing your favorite books! Quiet is such a powerful read, and I’ve heard great things about Bittersweet as well. Wishing you and your family all the best 🙌
Great recommendations, I’ll have to explore some of these! One book that has had a huge impact on my life and mindset is The Power of Now by Eckhart Tolle. The whole idea of the power of being present and how to process and manage the “pain body” not only helped me through a devastating period of my life (10 years ago) but is a mindset that continues to bring me inner peace today and live life to to the fullest each day. This book changed my life.
Thank you for sharing your recommendations too! The Power of Now is a wonderful book and I'm really glad that you were able to embrace the lessons and it really changed the way you live your life. Have a great week ahead. ❤️
Big fan of Naval as well, especially his Twitter quotes! I really liked Outlive by Peter Atia, made me think more carefully about longevity and how to live better.
A friend recently recommended Outlive to me, looks like a lengthy read but sounds like it was worth it! Especially if you are into health and longevity 🙌
The book that has had the most profound influence on my life, is Jonathan Livingston Seagull (original version) by Richard Bach. Some other influential books that found me when I needed them were: Siddhartha, by Herman Hesse, and The Little Prince, by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, which I consider to be one of the most profound spiritual books, ever written---they did market it as a children's book, but you have to have knocked around in the world, for a bit, to really understand what was being said.
Anatomy of Peace- how to deal with conflict, primarily with loved ones and personal relationships. Leadership and Self-deception is by the same group but focuses more on business relationships. Richest Man in Babylon- narrative, style, easy read on basic money principles and management.
Thanks for the recommendation! Earl Nightingale’s work is timeless. His insights have helped so many people, and I’ve heard great things about his books. I’ll definitely check out more of his work. If there’s a particular book or message from him that really resonated with you, I’d love to hear about it!
I have read all these books (except Go - Giver - It’s now on my to-read list 😂) Absolutely loved them all. These are some of the books that changed the way I view myself and the world: Your Money or Your Life Storyworthy A Million Miles in a Thousand Years The Second Mountain.
That’s great to know! 😀You are going to love Go Giver, especially being a short fiction story format. Thanks so much for sharing your favorite books too! 🙌
